I agree. I like *some* elements of open-planning such as a pass-through over a counter, etc., but as I always say...I don't want a sofa in my kitchen! I also don't want to view the entire first floor when I open the door.
NOW THIS is how you do it, separated living room, dining room, and kitchen!!! YES!!! A foryar, nice sized rooms, and big windows. LOVE this house, I would just change it to a grey color scheme, and have the master bed, bath, closet upstairs.
A tub in the master!!! I love this house. I would change a lot but I love the basic layout & I love that there’s no carpet in the dining room. A winner for me to watch!
Jackpot! I was in love just inside the front door but you have a soaking tub and a decent size shower. 2 stories with more than enough room for a large family. This is a real family home! 😍
I really appreciate that the side door in the utility room leads right into the kitchen. Easy to bring groceries in....dont have to walk thru the entire house. Pantry, sink in utility room, tons of windows, huge space upstairs. Great layout! Thx Chance!
I know that a lot of people are into open floor plans but I am a little more private and I liked the fact that there was a real foyer in the entrance of the home. These modular homes have been great! Thank you for sharing Chance.
I agree. I would also take out that island in the kitchen. I think it's too small to be useful for the real estate it takes up. I'd rather have the kitchen open than have to walk around that tiny island in the middle.
You can always tell the gender of who designs a house or how inclusive they are in the designing team. My mom chose a house design that my dad tried to veto 😂 her design was doable but his was horrendous; thank goodness the final say also belonged to two of his kids with disabilities. Now even strangers ask how we thought it up, it's both beautiful and functional for everyone.
My wife and I LOVE this layout. You are absolutely right when you say this feels like home. This is the most intelligent and welcoming design I've ever seen in any type of construction
From the outside, it didn't look all that large. But inside, wow, it's a lot bigger than I thought. There's lots of spacious, roomy rooms. The upstairs was definitely huuuuge! What a nice house. I can't imagine what some of the larger houses are like.
Definitely loving the floor plan of this home and the endless possibilities of the second floor. . . However the color scheme and chosen finishes like tile, carpet colors, kitchen cabinets and counter tops really remind me of a home from the 70s and 80s. Like my grandmother's house. Or a living room set from the Golden Girls, Married with Children, etc. . . like I said, love the home concept and layout. I just think the finishing aesthetics look a bit dated. . but that's just my opinion. Thank you for sharing this tour!!!
Agree. Love the floorplan. But would have to change alot when it comes to floors and countertops. Simple wood floors throughout and lighter colored countertops and cabinets and I'm sold.
First thought when walking in: It's so warm and cozy looking! ***Begins planning how I'd decorate for Christmas*** Personally I'd remove the carpeting and stone-looking tile floors, make it hardwood or hardwood-like throughout. The dining room and Kitchen areas are lovely! Even the small island adds a little extra space needed for when cooking/baking during the holidays. LOVE The Size of the Pantry, can change the shelving cheaply and easily. Love that Utility/Mud room! Nice size. The "Guest bedrooms" are a great size! Their modest sized closets are so nice. The master bedroom honestly is almost a little too big. Would probably put extra seating in the bedroom, a desk or something, to fill the space. The soaking tub in that master bath though, stole my heart. Completely sold me with that tub. Second story thoughts: I would definitely have it fully walled in, without rooms. One big open room. Maybe one actual room separated from the rest of the area, for a space for Hobbies/Crafting/Gaming, whatever.
This looks and feels like a stick-built home. I love the first floor layout. I especially enjoyed seeing the sun stream into the utility room. It may make filming harder to do, but it makes the house feel like a home.

I think I have a new favorite . Absolutely beautiful . I love the tile floor, the arches and columns leading into the dining room. The kitchen isn't the biggest but I think it's very functional and laid out well with a lot of counter space. The utility room is huge...the extra closet for storage is a plus. This home has a very welcoming entrance. Love the foyer and the coat closet. The master in this home is huge with a good size closet and master bath. Love the layout . The staircase leading to the second level is the prettiest I've seen. The upstairs has endless possibilities. This home gets 👍👍👍👍👍.
I love the cottage look. The foyer entry is pretty. I like the separated floor plan. That light filled laundry room is gorgeous. the paned windows give it so much cottage charm. This home is just way too cute!
This is the best floor plan I've seen yet!! My favorite is the little foyer and the stairs!! I think this is going to be the one with the finished upstairs 🤞💯🥰👍👍
I love the layout. I like where the staircase is placed. I would have made the utility room small so that I would have a larger kitchen. I’m in love with large kitchen islands. I also like a nice clean crisp look with white cabinets and lighter counter tops. Lighter colors make rooms appear much larger. But the home is really, really beautiful. As always, thanks for the tour.
The flow of the house is just beautiful. I love how the staircase curves off to the side, it makes the flow into the sittingroom so natural. Then the open walk into the dinning room and then through to the kitchen wow and the light from those window is amazing. All that cuboard space and the larder space, soooo much. Love it love itlove it. The bedrooms OMG and then the upstairs, I could make another two bedrooms upthere and an office /art studio. I'm in love with this place and shared it with two other people who I know will love it too.
I love the videos. Thank you for all the detail you give when you show these homes. This could be an awesome forever home. I love the floor plan. I would take some of the master bedroom and enlarge the master bathroom. That bathroom was small. I would opt for a larger walk-in shower too (without a shower curtain). Awesome living and dining room. I love the laundry/utility room. I would put a powder room in there (too far of a walk to use the hall bath).
Love the entry tile & that beautiful staircase. This home is amazing. You don't need a big island. Hi Chance hope your doing good. I love your goofball remarks!
I love the front of this home! It's completely different from anything I've seen lately! I'm impressed with Vanderbuilt after seeing your video Chance, thanks for putting them on my radar! Great video!👍🙂
Love this one! My favorite so far. I love that it has an actual entry and not so much of an open floor concept. You were so right when you said it felt like home when you walked in. In my opinion they have ruined so many beautiful homes with the open concept and the new cold color schemes.
This house has gorgeous windows. The exterior is lovely, one of my faves. I liked the semi-open floor plan. That master bedroom needed its own zip code - it's massive.
This home is fabulous! That being said, I would make some changes such as wood look & texture vinyl flooring through out, white cabinets. Nice size size living room. The outside of this home is knock out! You found a good one, Chase!!!
Hi Chance, I adore your enthusiasm and energy level when you do these videos. Thank you for the video, great one as usual. This is one of the few you've toured that looks like a traditional home, and I really like it. The divider for the living room and dining room is reminiscent of my childhood home. Except for the divider in ours was a bookcase on the bottom facing into the dining room; with open decorative shelves above. It was a very useful space, where as this home's divider was wasted space, a lost opportunity. I also like that there is separate rooms for the kitchen, dining room, and living room, yet they aren't totally closed off from each other. If you have kids you can keep an eye on them; but guests aren't watching you cook (and cuss burned fingers). I understand about the shower, my late husband was 6' 5". With a hose shower massager attachment he could stand and rince off, instead of squatting down to rince off. Every room should have 9ft. ceilings, so tall people don't feel claustrophobic; and paddle fans to redistribute the heat don't wack them on the head. Don't forget to show your son every once in awhile, he's so cute. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵☺️✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
It’s a modular home not a mobile home. There’s no steel chassis underneath like mobile or manufactured homes. The technology and capabilities with modular homes are miles ahead of manufactured homes.
Chance, the Vanderbuilt homes are beautiful! This one is very traditional, and a lot of folks don’t want an open layout. It just goes on and on! I love the tile in the master bath, and the huge master! A beautiful home....with a pantry!
This house was ok. Outside was so cute. Inside they need to get rid of that entertainment center that is way too big and outdated. It makes the living area seem too cramped. I would update all cabinets, flooring and fixtures. The big windows and all the storage was really nice. Thanks for the tour. 😊👍🏻
I love this home! It’s perfect! If I was looking for a home, had the money, and the health to take care of it, this would be the one! I love that the dining room is an actual dining room with a place for a hutch, not a dining spot! This one gets a 20 out of 10! Great video!

Exactly! This home’s first floor is perfect on its own! I could definitely see the top floor being used as play space, game room, movie room, an office or two, and/or additionally storage space. And there still looks to be room to make a small attic space above the second floor.
I love that it has the open floor plan feel but not so open. I have 4 little kids and I love being able to still close off the kitchen. Beautiful house!
The layout is very cozy and homey and the dining room entrance is eye catching. The rooms are divided but yet it makes the home look large. As I always say I like square sinks over round and I like the lighted up mirrors for the master bathroom. Beautiful!!!
really like the big ole' bathtub under the big window and the space in the upstairs is much nicer than some I have seen. The house looks really beautiful from outside as well. Vanderbilt has really improved their product in the past 20 years.
I so love the exterior of this house & the layout, minus the stairs! All this house needs for me is a Den/Family Room, & turn those big windows in the Dining Room into French or sliding doors & most definitely put a glass entry on the shower in the Master Ensuite. Yes, this house is very lovely, I can see myself living in this house!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Lots of gorgeous homes.I enjoy your tours.I turn the tv off and just watch them and dream.also you have an adorable little boy.thanks for showing the homes from the comfort of my chair.
Hey Chance, what a lovely home. FINALLY a spot for a freezer in the utility room! One question; in the Master closet @ 10:55 in the video, what is the boxed in spot for???
Please take tours in Las Vegas area! I want to see if you can find more options then I’ve been able to find. Beautiful exterior! Thank you for another video
For the most part, these Vanderbuilt homes are stellar! This one is nice, but there should have better upgrades, like wood shelves, faucets, unframed glass in master shower and an amazon shower head. The master - finally one that's the size I have in my home. Not a fan of small master bedrooms. I don't like the kitchen island. In fact, I think the kitchen layout is lame and could have been designed more efficiently. All utility rooms should have space for an upright freezer - is there room by the exterior door? When are designers going to figure out a layout with access to the outside and also have it next to the master (with direct access)? I wish the master tub was longer - it's too short for me. Love that it has a real foyer and a coat closet. There seem to be loads of closets throughout, which is great. Love the utility windows and the sink. Are those metal clamps on the toilets? lol
mam its just a show home... its an example not even complete or specific for a buyer... for the right price u can have it how u want... chance said this idk how many umpteen times... sheesh!
@@joshualee6765 I'm well aware of what Chance has said umpteen times, but you can't move the laundry room next to the master and you can't rearrange the kitchen. For the asking price, all the little things I mentioned should be included.
@@StephanieJoRountree well then u can simply look at another company or model... either way its set at north carolina and they wont send it cross country... if u dont live in the south or a bordering state chances are u wont get it anyways...
Finally a home where the rooms are separated. I’m old school. Open concept is NOT my thing. I’m sold. Chance this is it.
I agree. I like *some* elements of open-planning such as a pass-through over a counter, etc., but as I always say...I don't want a sofa in my kitchen! I also don't want to view the entire first floor when I open the door.
@@paulkurf3132 thats all well and good, but, that woks best on a 5000sf v under 3000sf.
Open floor plan is also a fire hazard. The walls/doors can contain a fire for a bit, whereas an open floor cannot.

Wow, I had never considered that!
Thanks, now I have yet another reason to dislike open floor plans.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁

A tub in the master!!! I love this house. I would change a lot but I love the basic layout & I love that there’s no carpet in the dining room. A winner for me to watch!
I loved the fact that there is an entry that doesn’t come directly in to the living room. The coat closet is great.
I'd even put another door there to make it an Arctic entry. Snowy or rainy areas need them.
Jackpot! I was in love just inside the front door but you have a soaking tub and a decent size shower. 2 stories with more than enough room for a large family. This is a real family home! 😍

I use the sink in the utility room as a bath tub for babies and small dogs. Sure saves the back.

Yes, this house is very lovely, I can see myself living in this house!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I agree a den would be great!
@@chanceshomeworld absolutely!!!
We thought it was the area for the return air duct. Think there was a grated duct on that wall outside in the hall.
@@PanamaRose there is no vent there. It is on an outside wall!
This company thinks outside the box on thier homes! Amazing!!! Keep it coming!
Please take tours in Las Vegas area! I want to see if you can find more options then I’ve been able to find. Beautiful exterior! Thank you for another video
Noted!
Love this! Love the columns in the dining room and the bar!
I have to say of all the homes you've shown, I really like Vanderbilt the best!!!
Thanks Karen!
That unfinished space is so beautiful so much you could do with it
Sweet 2 guest bathrooms, 3 guest bedrooms
Thanks Chance for keeping us entertained! You do a very nice job on showing homes!
Thanks man!
@@joshualee6765 I'm in TN. I wouldn't buy it, because it's not what I want. Providing constructive criticism is helpful to builders.
You cant put a freezer in a utility room, running a dryer would make the freezer work harder. Sort of like you cant put an oven above a fridge.
This feels like home to me. If I was buying a home this would be it!!
