I think it will help in those situations where there is only 20Amp service. I used it at our house for 9 days with our 30 amp service. I haven’t tried it with 20 amps yet on the new rig. Thanks, we are excited. Thanks
You can get an electrician to check your outside socket to see if the gauge of wire and the length of the run will allow you to step up to a 30 or 40-amp socket and circuit breaker. Your initial start-up on the air conditioner when it hit 19 amps was when your compressor started up. Air conditioner compressors have a start capacitor to help with the initial load.
Just saw your video. The 2000W generator will run it if it is a Honda. Reason is that the engine is larger at 98CC vs the others like predator that are only 78 or 79cc. Now you know why Honda's cost more.
With this unit and a dog bone connector you will be able to get power wherever. Ever been to a site that didn’t have 50A available or working? Maybe no 30A… but if they have 20A or a friend you’re visiting only has 20A you’re still going to be able to use your a/c. A 20A source will not power an RV A/C in most cases without this device.
Very informative. It seems it took a long while for compressor to ease in. Very real world to experience in real time. I'm trying to run AC off Bluetti. power station/battery. 20 amp or 30? My shore power plug is 30 amp connector. The fancy Bluetti with the 30 amp out is really 22 amps I have gleaned from videos. Says these are for outfoor use only. Maybe the are just covering potential liability? Who knows? Smoke detector and surge protector and hope things don't fry. I'm on a low budget This product sounds like a winner. AC kind of important sometimes. Enjoyed mellow vibe explanations.

Hey Duane, are you using the ActiveStart yet on the Momentum? I am very curious about that. We will be moochdocking in Washington State in July (50 to 30 amp) and thought this would be handy to have. -Pete
Yes I used it in our driveway for 9 days while closing on the house. We had a 30 amp plug there and it was handy to see how much power we were using. I only ran one AC at a time on the 30 amps. I don’t think it will run two at the same time on 30 amps. I have not tested it with the Momentum with 20 amps yet.

I ordered the 20 amp because I am only using it to run my 13.5 AC. What was the size of the AC in your bedroom compared to the one in the living area?

Does this unit have a replacement module if it has to sacrifice itself as a surge protector?
I’m not sure. It might be best to check the product website.

i don't like the idea of needing a smart phone to run this device.
A lot of things have apps now.

@@_emanon you DO NOT need the app to run the device. Just to monitor if you'd like. It runs fine plug and play.
