Nolan is the maddest person in Hollywood
He should have built the entire city for real to shoot this scene. LOL
He did that in tenet. Lol
He mentioned in a recent interview that he built the biggest exterior set ever in film history. A town or something like that

I thought Nolan doesn't use CGI
Christoper Nolan isn't strictly against CGI, he just thinks that it's being overused and prefers to use as many practical effects as possible.
A lot of modern movies don't even try to hide the fact that their scenes use CGI, and that's why a lot of people criticise it.
It is a totally different story when it's used _if necessary_ and if it's used so that it blends in with the physical environments;
the perfect example of a movie like this is "Jurassic Park", where CGI was only used when it was actually needed or convenient, and it was also used in a way so that it looked real (for example, the overturned jeep and the ladles in the kitchen are CGI, but everyone assumes that they are real).
Most other "easy" scenes, like the the calm scenes of the T. rex or the sick triceratops, where robots, and some of the simpler scenes of the velociraptors were actors in suits.
they overhyped nolan's practical effects, he does use cgi a lot especially in inception, the 1st nolan movie to win vfx oscar
Do you think he really burned half the face of Harvey dent in the dark knight... stupid >.
@@3sh16 one can use Makeup....
