  • I rented an Indian Chief Roadmaster and over 6.5 hours. I found some good and some bad points on the bike.
    So here are the good points about the bike! I will release a separate motovlog covering the bad points later.
    Check out the fun!

    Anthony, I can get two extra large helmets in the trunk of my 2019 Roadmaster... FYI. I have a full face, hinged, and an open face. Best bike I have every had by far.

      Thanks for the info!
      I wonder if Indian will release the Challenger with a trunk?

    Also, if you just hold the start switch with the bike powered off and you're in neutral or in first gear with the clutch pulled in the bike will power on and then start. I almost never touch the actual power button on my Roadmaster.

      True. I am a sucker for the big valanced fender though.

    Like the color/chrome combo on that Roadmaster. Just don't like the instrument cluster design and heat from the motor. Do like a lot of features similar to the Vision like ride, electric windshield, and those huge floorboards for my big ole feet...LOL!

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  4 роки тому

      I definitely liked the boards. The ride felt great. I think a different shape to the shield would have helped reduce the wind noise.
      If the heat was better then the bike would be rips for sure.

    Next bike? 😁 We almost bought one instead of our ultra. I really enjoyed the ride of the Roadmaster.

      Great question and it might be a tough choice for some.

      I had a 2014 Ultra. she tapped out at 53K miles. 2 independent Harley Whisperers told me I needed a complete top and bottom end rebuild...basically a complete engine. Hope yours did/does better. I went with the Roadmaster.

      @@jeffjackman5734 That stinks! I have almost 91K miles on mine even with the current pandemic. Of course back when I signing the papers, I paid for an extended warranty because what other people have experienced with their Harleys.

      It was a great route. Of course the heat of the summertime could have been better. 😄

    Sounds like lots of top end noise from the engine ??

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  4 роки тому

      I agree. The engine has valve covers that look line the old flat head design. I think the covers amplify lifter tick.

    That trunk is huge it will fit two full face helmets easy. Maybe lmao of course it will unless you have a head like shriek.

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  4 роки тому

      So it should hold Shek's helmet fine then. 😆 Princess Fiona is out of luck.

      @@RRatedCustoms Lol . Have you tried one with the extended seat. I am a bigger guy at 6 ft 5 320lbs so I might need one I also have a large head lol but my wife's is small.

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  4 роки тому

      I think if you put a full face upside down then it might fit a bigger helmet.👍

      Thank you on the congrats. Now we need to get more small channels like yours up there.
      As far as the price of the bike, dollar for dollar Indian seems to give the buyer more good stuff for their money.

    • @jeffjackman5734
      @jeffjackman5734 4 роки тому +2

      I paid $25K for a new Harley Ultra Classic back in 2014. I paid $20K for a 1 year old Roadmaster with sooooo much more.

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  4 роки тому +1

      @Jeff Jackman I wish Harley would stop charging so much for so much less each year.😠

      @@RRatedCustoms which is why I left Harley and went to Indian. It was difficult at first to even think about. then I ride the Indian. Easy decision. Not that Indian doesn't have their flaws. Parts are still not cheap. You still have to customize them to make them your own. But dollar for dollar Indian is the better choice...it was for me and thousands of others who are leaving MoCo to ride Indian.

    Some awesome gadgets on it.... a bit too big a bike for me, but is def quite a beasty! :-)

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  5 років тому +1

      You might be surprised. The saddle height is only 26.5 inches so you should try one out.

    • @HippoDrones
      @HippoDrones 5 років тому +1

      I meant too big overall than in seat height, UK roads don't really suit these types of bikes, I noticed you grounding out the running board (is that what they are called?) in your other vid! :-)

    • @RRatedCustoms
      @RRatedCustoms  5 років тому +1

      Running boards, footboard, floorboard...they were touching due to the uphill tight switchbacks. As far as size of the bike, you might have to give up lane splitting but you gain being able to carry all your gear and the kitchen sink to boot!😎

      @@RRatedCustoms hahaha... what I can't carry in my wallet, I don't need! :D

      Hahaha! I heard a rider say something similar several years ago and then his engine puked its guts out about a month later.
      Imagine pulling a trailer with one of these and on that trailer is your track bike!
