I viewed your video from 2 years ago on a universal remote setup i have a 32" Sony Bravia bit no remote. I picked up the Onn 4 in 1 universal remote ONN ONA23AV001C Universal 4-Device(like a dumbbell I lost the instructions with the codes) I have watched this video like 10 times and i finally made some headway ( its not you but me, i find this video confusing) so I went to the Onn website found the PDF file for the sony codes. Now to manually enter the code.
#1 press the setup button until the power light(red) comes on (and stays on)
#2 press the TV button
#3 then enter a code.
From here i get confused, Does the tv have to be on while doing this?
If the first code doesn't work do I just punch in the next code and continue untill the right one is entered?
And does the red light for the power button turn offwhen the correct code is entered?
The other method
Same initial button pressing sequence but pressing power button as well
Pointing remote at tv
When code is found tv will shut off.
Press #1 to save code
Now i tried it this way and the tv shit off but when i pressed 1 the red didn't shut off on the remote power button. And theres a red light on the Tv that stays on ( i need to physically touch the power button on tv and then the red light on the tv goes out and tv is off) hopefully this makes sense some help would be greatly appreciated

HI... Say if you have a list of codes you will try the first one and see if it works. The TV is better if it's on, but it can be off and it'll still work. If the 1st code doesn't work, then you have to repeat all the steps with the next code in the list. and so forth. IF none of the codes work, then you can try the auto code search method. Usually this will send out a batch of codes. Usually 10. Then you have to go back and search that last batch of codes to see which one it was. I don't remember for the ONN remote how to search the last batch of codes.. I'm sure I'm not making sense either!
