- This is my second Gundam Wing video i have made. This one is all about the Tallgeese Two and its pilot Treize Khushrenada's and his final battle. You never see any video about Treize. He was a truly amazing piolt, easily on par with any of the gundam pilots and zechs or at least damn close. He mastered the Tallgeese, could destroy a doll with east and went toe to toe with Wufei's gundam Altron. Cleary he is a remarkable pilot and needs more recignition. Its set to Powerman 5000 "Drop The Bomb Shell"

Trieze is the true hero in GW. He sacrificed himself for peace and yet nobody likes him.
I never hate him.... I actually like him after knows what's he truly are.... He's definitely better as villains or heroes in Gundam Franchise

Trieze became my favorite when i started to really understand the plot and subplots, trieze with the young kid and the mother on the dock, was a representation of him letting zech's go his own direction with the result he saw in the beauty of life was that zech's would grow to be a true peacecraft, and both played their roles they knew they had to play to bring peace, through the beauty of life, war, and death, especially trieze who saught meaning from life and death, nice vid
@dregoth22 After going back and watching this episode again, I think he was trying to sacrifice himself to avoid any more soldiers from being killed. He originally wanted to duel Zechs and avoid the conflict entirely, but Zechs declined. He was forced to use his men against the dolls. During the fight with Wufei, he asked Lady Unn how many of his men were killed and he started to grieve. Right after that, he sacrificed himself knowing they'd withdraw if he was killed, least that's how i see it.

Treize was what wing was about, wish i had a really quality wallpaper for trieze and tallgueese II but nothing exists but screen captures.
It took me watching the series over 5 times to realize Treize was running the show like a game of reality chess the whole time!!! First he divided the factions (Romafeller Foundation vs Earth Sphere Alliance), created his own as a control (Treize Faction later know as OZ), and then wanted unified governance all alone (World Peace -_-). Fun Fact about Treize: Heero in Episode Zero the comic book ended up wounding Treize and his nurse would later be the mom of Mariemaia
@KartarNighthawk yeah the Tallgese II was made from backup parts of the original Tallgese and Wufei has a fully custom gundam that was as strong as the Wing Zero. Treize could have beaten him but he wanted to die in battle and Wufei was the only one who could have killed him after Zechs declined their duel.
thank you, ya he is a very complex character, its hard to tell where he is coming from. there are few tributes to him. it is a shame he deliberatly lost but i think it was all part of him master plan to create peace. i just wish we could have seen more of him in combate.
I would have loved to have seen Tallgeese II vs Epyon. It would have been interesting. The one thing I have to say is that, while the series mentioned no difference between Tallgeese II and Tallgeese I besides color and design...it should be noticed that Tallgeese II's beam cannon blasted through Virgo II models, meaning it was almost certainly much more powerful. And in the manga, Tallgeese II had more armor but more powerful engines with upgrades that allowed for both more agility and speed. So it would have been an interesting fight all the same. Tallgeese II just might have given Epyon a run for it's money and made it more of a level battle field between (in my opinion) two of the best pilots in the series.
Just piloting it with more normalcy in space, you'd have to imagine the II was better than the I. I haven't seen the series in a while, but even though zechs was faster than the dolls in space, I am pretty sure I remember him having a hard time control the I in space.
Great movie, and you're right about Trieze deserving more credit.
This AMV is pretty damn epic. I love it!! Fantastic work, and great timing. I love the dialog you chose, it really shows Treize's character, and that last battle was awesomely awesome. I'd forgotten how great it was. :D
Re: the debate... from what I remember, Treize did use the ZERO system--he told Heero so when he gave Heero Epyon. What I find interesting is that Treize MADE Epyon in the first place. He designed it. Says a lot about his state of mind.

I agree; it is hard to tell where he's coming from. Was he just a megalomaniac, or was he an antivillain, out to create peace by wrecking the world's armies, etc? I honestly do believe he was a better pilot then Wufei; despite the technological gap between the Tallgeese II and the Altron he still held the upper hand for most of their fight. A pity we never get to see him fly anything on par with the Gundams; he was probably my favourite character in the show. Oh well, at least he died happy.
In this fight, I think that Tallgeese 2's dobber gun is so overpowered and matched the beam cannons of Wing Zero and Tallgeese 3's mega cannon. Those mobile dolls are made of Gundanium metal which is the same material that being used to make Gundams.. And boom got blown away by Tallgeese 2's dobber gun

Good video. I know what you mean about Treize. He was the main villain, and one of the few characters in the show with any complexity, and yet everyone ignores him. You realise this is one of only two tributes to him on all of UA-cam? I think it's too bad he deliberately lost to Wufei; we'll never know just how good he really was.
guess we could say nobody could be a match for his piloting skills, so since he couldnt be defeated, he chose to be defeated by himself.
That would be very likely of Treize's character habit
it doesnt Show him using it but he explains that it showed him he didnt have a future left causing deeper depression after giving up oz and not reqally leading the Treize Faction, his people rescued them and it wasnt until Miliardo became the leader of White Fang that he chose to take over Romafeller again.
Does Treize's character remind anyone else of Beast Wars Megatron?
Very calm, calculating, and clearly a megalomaniac. Not to mention a great villain!
@TinyTitian It's a prototype. It doesn't move as well as the Gundams, and it's one of the reasons Zechs has to ditch the original: he can't keep up anymore. Tallgeese II is stated to be no stronger than I; III was a serious jump in power.
i disagree with the music choice but all things considered this is a top notch AMV. the incorporation of actual dialogue from the anime with the music playing in the background is an extremely impressive technique.

Tallgeese was on Par with the Gundams, he had a gundam but he couldnt handle the Zero System so he went with the Tallgeese's which still messed with the pilot and threatened it's life to an extent. the trouble people have approaching Gundam is the Concept of hero/Vilian good guy, and bad guy, most honestly"bad" chars in gundam arent main characters. Everyone has a prespective and they do the best with what they see. hope that makes some of you guys think outside the good/bad box.

the tallgeese series even thought im not a fan of wing or endless waltz i will tell you the veria engiens twin at the might destroy the 00 and the 00 riser this is my fav mobile suit and the design a sparten with a sleg hammer awsome

@5000562 im pretty sure he choose to die cause it was all part of his plan for peace. if he was still alive then there would be more reason for conflict around the earth sphear, sence he was the leader of Oz and held the majority of military power. his death was the death of Oz also

@SSJL4MysticGohan he is still alive, in endless waltz, lady un saw a ghost and it was him, plus tallgeese 3 was piloted by him
@bobbyewing311 also shoud mention in addition, that treize considered wufei an equal, and probably considered a defeat to wufei honourable, after wufei struck him, pleased with wufei's development

Tallgeese III is powerful as hell, easily on par with Zero if not outshining it. but it isn't a gundam, it's just a mobile suit. despite any series fluff or what the suit is made of, what makes a gunda a gundam is its design. if the suit shares any remote simularities with the RX-78 (Gundam), then it is a gundam...
on a side note the RX-78 and the OZ-01 Leo are both made from Luna Titanium...so the origional series best mobile suit is equal to a Leo...yay nerdyness

@AkerGraham not true, he was a warrior, he just realised that the gundam pilots were creating a future where battles would no longer be required. As such Trieze choose humanity over his own desires to fight battles. In the end he wanted to die in the fashion of a battle since he views battles as beatiful. Death in battle is the only way he would of accepted dying.
he didnt fail , he mastered it , he may not have piloted epyon in an actual battle , he used it as a simulator to decide his actions for the future , treize is defanitly in the grey , he wanted to end the war but with honor and some sence of morality
He's a better pilot than Wufei. He can stab him with the beam saber or fires the dobber gun from behind but he choosed to kick him instead.

I thank you sir i myself would like to make a tribute to the best gundam character i mean he used the equivalent of wing gundam and took on And pretty much beat a 7 times more powerful suit he was to cool

I wholly agree with the focus on Treize, but I think that this song isn't very representative of him. He would think this style to be beneath him. :(

he Gave it to Heero because it told him he had no future left, I've the uttmost respect for Treize Resolve but his personality couldnt handle the system because of his willingness to give up his life so easilly, I'm not meaning any disrespect but the fact is he saw what he needed with it and ended up taking something else, if it was a matter of the system alone he could have loaded it on Tallgeese. As for him failing to use it properly listen to what he says when he shows/gives it to Heero.

@lesyoko324 peace wasn't his goal until lady un was shot by tuberoff. Otherwise he would have wanted a world with an emphasis on battles and humans fighting them
actually Tallgeese II was a cool deisgn, espically the head. Too bad it only appear at the back of the series

@5000562 treize was the cooler character to me, he was the most influencial mobile suit pilot in the series, if it wasnt for treize, the show would have finished around episode 13. personally,n i dont see it as a suicide attempt, i think it was more wufei getting a lucky hit.

@bobbyewing311 i still don't see it as a suicide/sacrifice, i see it more as that treize could not see a future with his pacified world was about to emerge, and that as a soldier, he has no part in that future. what i'm trying to say is that his mind was taken out of the fight because he was griving after une's casualty report, because he threw wufei psychologically by telling him the number of deaths in the conflict, he leveled he field, ensuringthe fight was fair, as treize was above all fair
Seems I signed in other my brother's account last time. How embarrassing. Anyway, yes that's the general theory, but it's never explicitly confirmed. I happen to agree with it, but you still have to wonder if the way he went about it was really "right." Treize had the right goals, but the extremes he went to can and do cause some to see him as the villain. I prefer the term antivillian: doing the wrong things for all the right reasons.
Still think Zechs is alot cooler, and why did he practically commit suicide at the end?

@lesyoko324 Treize said from the beginning of the series that he loved war.. He couldn't even imagine living in a world without war. He knew he had a legion of soldiers who were willing to sacrifice everything for his sake and he wanted to become the World Sovereign. He even went so far as to build the Epyon Gundam to give to Zechs to destroy the Romafeller Foundation. After Zechs betrayed him he placed that trust into Hiro.

Because he knew that he had played too big a part in orchestrating world events to not have a die-hard following of loyal soldiers that would continue to fight for his ideals of human conflict preventing the peace he wanted. He had to die to clear the way for the less capable pacifist rulers that he wanted to follow. He was proved right with the one unforeseen hiccup of Mariemaia being deliberately misled in her understanding of his ideals by her advisors in Endlesss Waltz, rectified at the end by Lady Une.
@@YorkshirePirate That's super interesting! Although it seems a little contradictory. It implies they really were fighting so make people sick of fighting, but the thesis of the show is that there will always be conflict. You believe Treize actually wanted pacifists to rule, when they'd been shown multiple times to be vulnerable to people willing to use violence? That the side of good needed someone to fight for it seemed to be the primary example made by the Peacecraft nation, and again in Endless Waltz.
I think that was exactly why Treize was fighting. He understood human nature and was naive in thinking that he could be the anti-villain to lead the 'war to end all wars.' He certainly had the capability. When Releena was set up to fail as United Sphere Queen, Treize went from exiled nobody to Emperor of the United Sphere, Romefeller and Oz, in minutes without any opposition. He was THE antagonist of Gundam Wing from start to finish. @@Tiger74147
