My Over 50 Fashion Life, I loved this video so much, I had to hit the like button!
Love the Henley tops, especially the blue. It does suit you. My colouring is neutral/warm but I think the blue would suit me too.
I think the everyday t-shirt looks nicer than the relaxed. 1. It's a bit thicker which looks nicer as the relaxed is more see-through. 2. The neckline is nicer on the everyday, it's a neater crewneck. The relaxed has a more baggy neckline.

Wish we could wear all these lovely colours but it rains rains rains ☔ all the time in Scotland recently. We can't get any of our spring clothes on. I'm still wearing my winter jacket unfortunately 🥶
It stopped here about Wednesday last week and now started agajn. It's been such a wet spring.

When you have grey/light hair you need some colour unless you are well tanned. Whites/creams/beige do nothing for you. M & S tends to vere on the frumpy side.
I like the waistcoat, a good fit and look for a petite. Also like the soft white tshirt. A much kinder white for nearly everyone. Not keen on the Henleys. They look, dare I say it, a bit staid. Enjoyed the video.

Got them jeans in light wash medium and black. They are great fit. I am also 5ft 2

The slim fit Ts were fine. And the jeans. The shirts were big on me, and the white tshirts. The joggers were a good fit. I kept the joggers, skinny fit Ts in smaller sizes and the Eva jeans.

My Per Una Roma jeans from a charity shop fit really well, but the current jeans and trousers at M&S are too big on the waist and too small on the hips. It would be good they did more bootcut jeans and coþon trousers for curves.

Love the boot cut jeans on you. I cant get it right with m and s boot cut. Size 12 too tight round waist, size 14 too loose around the
thighs Lily Magic Slim seem better on me
My Lily are quite old and more a skinny. I should try a new pair to see if they’ve changed the leg shape.

Rather than buy the everyday t-shirt at £8.50 I buy the mens pure cotton crew neck t-shirt at £8 or 3 for £22. I'm a size 12 and the men's medium is a perfect slightly baggy fit. I found the ladies 12 a bit too fitted and the 14 a bit too oversized.
It really bugs me that we are charged more for basically the identical item!!

Also - question: you have been talking recently about how chunkier, more 'statement' jewellery is 'back in'. Would you ever consider doing a vid on how to style _vintage_ jewellery with various outfits? Maybe some pieces from an eBay preloved haul...?

I will be using more chunky jewellery in outfits going forwards which may give you ideas. Also look at my IG, my_over50fashion_life as I have a few outfits on there with bolder jewellery

A 10 uk is 6 USA. A 8 uk 4 USA, 12 UK would be USA 8. Hope that helps. Yes i could make that mention in future.

Not sure the colour of the first shirt really suits your colouring.
It is too warm for me but this video is for you not me, if you see what i mean.
For me i kept blue henley, beige joggers, natural T, striped henley in a size 10, bootcut jeans and the 3 tops at the end of the video.
White t-shirt better tucked in the t shirt after the stripey one still not keen on shape
M&S jeans are terrible, they completely lose their shape after a couple of washes - I think they have too much polyester in them (why there is ANY polyester in jeans I don't know but that's a different discussion 😆)
I have found a lovely alternative and will be sharing them next Wednesday.
The first shirt drowns you as the pattern is too big for a petite lady. All fashion advisors including yourself say beware of patterns, stick to dots or stripes or a small design, or better still neutrals.
Thank you. I did say not everything would suit me. Im not trying on for me but my audience Some of my audience will be taller ladies who would like to see what's available for them. For me there is too much material in the shirt .

I think she looks lovely, petite people can wear big prints if done right and she does it beautifully
I disagree- pattern and colour can be tricky to style and can take a lot of effort, trial & error but the pay-off is worth it. There are no hard and fast rules. The reason I believe most online fashion advisors stick with a neutral palette is that it makes things much easier as they are trying to appeal to as wide an audience as possible.
I have experience working with several fashion retailers and nothing brought be more joy than seeing ladies emerge from the fitting room in a beautiful colour/print which not only enhanced their natural beauty (whatever size, shape or age they happened to be) but also their unique personality.
A good example was a bright canary yellow printed shift dress which I couldn't imagine selling until a very curvaceous, tanned lady with a beautiful smile tried it on and Wow ! Va Va Voom !
As a creative nature lover I enjoy wearing comfortable breathable fabrics and own many floral/ ditsy/ leaf printed tops and dresses. However I have taken time to establish which shades, colours, prints and shapes suit me as an individual.
There are many women who lack the confidence to break out of their comfort zone, I enjoyed encouraging them to try new colours and styles and witnessed many transformations!
However I have also come across many middle aged women who prefer to disappear in a sea of grey and belittle others they envy😮
