I hope you like and thanks for watching.
Been watching you for probably 5 years now, I remember seating in class and watching your videos because I learned more from your videos then class. I’m 21 now and have been doing my own build on go carts and mine bikes and lawnmower because of you. I just want to thank you for sharing your knowledge on UA-cam for people like me to learn!
That is so cool to hear, thanks so much and keep building!! and keep watching!! Thanks for watching.
Thats how i am im actually building my 1st fast/mud mower and chud327 has been helping me the whole time Lol
@@sherbyhavin love that too, let me know if you have any questions and thanks for watching!!
Chud 327 got me into pulley swapping and modifying mud mowers. I'm getting my swapped tmmr, and thank you for the inspiration
I love hearing that, be safe and have fun!! Thanks for watching!!
The hubs on the axles of zero turns, the 4x4s, will fit on these mowers. No problem.
I need to check into that, thanks for watching!!
You should make the Husqvarna four-wheel-drive
That would make it so much better and thanks for watching!!
This gives me hope for my lawnmower!!
And for all the hydros out there. Thanks for watching!!
That is amazing i didn't know you can pully swap a Hydrostatic transmission
Not recommended, but it worked twice for me. Thanks for watching!!
love when chud post love the mower content
Thanks so much and I have a couple short videos ready to come out, but not very mower related. thanks for watching.
Nice thing with that cargo carrier.
It can be used on just about anything with a trailer hitch.
To get more speed out of a hydro, have you thought about doing a jackshaft setup with a separate axle, with dual chains.
So you can run your hydro, at it's normal speed, but your wheel speed increases.
Then you could also add hydraulic brakes to the jackshaft axle.
I have thought about something like that. Would be good for making a posi rear too. Thanks for watching!!
Just a idea I think you should make some wheelie bars that go into a hitch on a mower so they are removable and you can use on multiple mowers
Good idea and thanks for watching!!
You should put mud flaps on the cargo rack
Good idea and thanks for watching!!
You got me wanting to experiment on a hydro now! The one we have is the “Rebel” tractor and I paid $700 for the Tuff Torq K66 in it, I’m thinking maybe a couple inches bigger pulley on the engine might help it out. Right now I think it’s not spinning as fast as it should be anyway. The kids always complain about how slow it is. But, it is a torque monster! Great video!
If it has a 3 inch maybe try a 5 inch. I am now wondering what I can do to the inside to make it better. Thanks for watching!!
Another awesome video, I love the projects you do, especially the s10 projects, although the mud mowers seem really fun.
Hoping to get some s-10 content out soon. I found and engine and I think I found a transmission. I just want to test drive it before I commit to it... The mowers are fun too, thanks for watching.
Awesome tractor Doug right through that sand THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
It really loved the sand and thanks for watching!!
I use one to ride the fence line every day and it’s cheaper than a 4 wheeler 😊😊😊
So much cheap and thanks again for watching.
You should try reversing the back tires so they act more like paddle tires in the sand to see if they do better
That would be a quick, easy, and cool experiment. thanks for watching.
Good ideal, I need a rack to carry fencing repair stuff 😢and a short shovel 😊
Yes, this would really do the trick for you. thanks for watching.
Thanks for the shout out!!
No problem, thanks for the reflectors!!
I like the hitch mod!
Ikr, so many uses. Thanks for watching!!
The zombie shelter was from a UA-camr who did a zombie survival challenge
That is an Infernox project. thanks for watching.
Great in mud , sand , maybe not a trail rig though to wide. Great video I liked the outro!
Yeah, would need a chainsaw if you plan to do much trail riding. Thanks for watching!!
Yes it finally came out
Yes and thanks for watching!!
The wasp nest....."the first mod" 😂
Glad the didn't get me.... Thanks for watching!!
I love the front bumper
that mower is awesome! i'm gonna try pulley flopping my hydro mower since i have a backup transmission
Thanks and let us know how it goes. Thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 right now i forced it on the deck pulley without flopping it and it's working great and doing 8mph!
ya know Chud, i think if you run thicker oil in the hydro, it might help with the bubbling in the trans
I have thought about that and should look into it. Thanks for watching!!
Oh yeah you absolutely can't have a muffler with rust holes . I think it's even illegal in Florida...😂
Got to keep it legal. Thanks for watching!!
If you keep having issues with water in your fuel get a 12volt electric fuel pump and a water block filter... add a drain tap in your fuel line at or just before your filter with a shutoff so you can pump out the tank... For mine I used a quick connect fuel connector on the drain ran a 3ft hose to the water block filter inlet attached the electric pump to the outlet and added a hose to the pumps outlet attached the assembly to a board so I can take it to any of my gas powered machines I usually return the fuel back to the machines tank... Depending on how much water is in the tank I'll cycle the fuel for about an hour or until the water block filter is full of water then drain the water out of the water block filter... I also use it for filling my gas tanks instead of holding a gas can... I just use a couple boat gas tanks for fuel transport as they can't spill
Very good idea, you have any videos of you set up? Thanks for watching.
@@chud327 unfortunately no but it works great I use it for my lawn and garden tractors (all 15 of them), all three of my 2n/9n tractors, my atvs, and for filling the tanks. Sure as heck beats holding a can while filling a gas tank. And it cost less than $75 for me to build with all new components (prices have gone up significantly since I built mine though)
That sounds good as well!
Thanks, I love how it sounds!! Thanks for watching!!
Better reinforce the bolt holes in the chassis where the motor bolts to it.
Mine has the 26 hp K v twin, and I put the same tires on the back too.
Only i still mow with mine, and its got the heavy welded deck that weighs about million pounds.
And I've got in the habit of tightening all the hardware up every few months and especially at the start of the mowing season here in Texas.
Cause i have had problems with bolts loosening up on that dam thing.
And I've even used blue lock tite on most of them, but the four that hold the motor onto the chassis have chewed the steel out on the chassis to the point that i had to weld heavy fender washers on top and bottom of the chassis because the engine was moving a little more than a inch back and forth from the tourqe of the drive train.
The bolts were actually tight, which surprised me, because of everything else being a problem keeping tight.
You can actually see where the knurling on the inside of the bolt heads thats suppose to act like a lock washer has eaten into the steel as its went back and forth.
I like to never broke them free from the we engine mounting holes, because of the steel bolts in the aluminum mounting holes on the block.
So might take a closer look at yours to see that doesn't happen to you.
Cause it'll cause the drive belt to start jumping off the rear pulley when you go from high RPM's suddenly to idle, and it took me a minute to figure out what was going on because all the bolts are half hidden by the steering gear support, and the linkage itself.
PS
Get you a block bearing to replace the nylon bushing on the steering shaft, and it'll eliminate all the slack in the steering shaft making it easier to steer cause the steering wheel has so much movement going down to the main gear itself
Good tips and thanks for watching!!
just be careful i learned the hard way pulley swapping a hydro it built a bunch of pressure in the trans and blew a bunch of very hot fluid all over my ass driving down the street lol
Not good, will be sure to leave the rear fenders on. Thanks for watching!!
great video sir, I have an old 1989 model Cub Cadet hydro 1320, i put a large on the motor and it worked great. the wheels on the back are crap and rusted right threw, now i need to wheels for the back if anyone out there has 2 wheels i can buy. Im in Sydney Australia and can't find wheels anywhere.
Glad it worked and hope you can find some wheels, thanks for watching!!
Finally The Videos Out Lol Watching It Right Now
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!!
I own a johndeere 116 with a troybuit, it has dirt devil tires on it and we put 20 pounds of celsum in it and we pulled a coupple farm beams around the ony issue with this is it needs more weight in the front when your pulling a 200pound beam arouns but if your mudding then its fine no issues i burn throught a bes every 3months and i have no problems with it just put celsum in the tires it makes it way heavier and it performs do good in the mud iv got stuck 2 times thats only bc i went through 2 ft of clay mud
Have you tried changing the fluid in the hydro? I changed mine to the motorcycle wet clutch oil, gained a few miles per hour just from that alone. Info sourced from a forum, tested and confirmed.
Will definitely look into that, where did you get it, are there different weights? thanks for watching.
Lt Johnson is worth $600 $650. I would buy it but I found a 4x4 4runner my neighbor has.
Been offered $500 so far for Lt... 4 runner would be a blast. I had someone offer to buy Emily and my John Deere wagon. He asked several times, but would not say a price. I better not Emily back to the river. If they say a big number, I sure would miss Emily. Thanks again for watching!!
Is that a Kabota diesel tractor in the background love to see a video on that.
That is the son-in-laws kabota, will be sure to make a video if he does anything with it. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome Video!!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!!
I've just thought a good idea you should make the fastest mower ever
Good idea, I was thinking fast hydro ever... Thanks for watching!!
Should make some of them duallies. I miss seeing those
Also, you should put duallies back on the john deere and take it to the next parade
Good idea, I wanna someday do a duallie go cart too. Thanks for watching!!
I like tractor tires on lt Johnson. Maybe you should sell it with thise and keep 10 inch pretty rims?
That is the plan now, mostly because the hubs have been taken over. Hope to make more when I get a plasma cutter .... Thanks for watching!!
Awesome.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!!
Cool! You ever try putting thicker oil in the hydros?
I have not, but I need to research that and try it next. thanks for watching.
What model husqvarna is it? I just picked up a YTH 180 with a hydro rearend. The axles are kinda chewed up so that might take abit of messing about. Hydros are really common over here in France so it's great to see what you can do with one. Great video 👍🔧🚜
5424 or 2454, I can remember. Thanks for watching and let me know how it goes.
I got a 6 speed manual doing about 50-55 maybe
I had one doing 44 MPH, but I built one that is faster, just been to chicken to speed run it so far... thanks for watching.
the only thing you could do better is cleaning the parts before you weld them its makes it stronger but keep up the good shit man
Will keep in mind and thanks for watching!!
I thought whenever you want more speed out of hydraulics you clock the cam that connects to the hydraulics themselves?
I am not sure what time hat means, but will look into it. Thanks for watching!!
I have 4 pulley swapped lawnmowers. My Murray is my favorite. But I never understood a hydro pulley swapped. The rear pulley is small stock. So I'm not sure what to do besides bigger front pulley. I'm a fan of dual pulley swap.
Yeah, they usually come from the factory will small back pulleys, so I guess the only option is to front pulley swap. I like dual pulley swaps too, especially when the stock belt still works like on FASTMOWERS. thanks for watching.
Does great in mud!
I was impressed, just want more speed now. Thanks again for watching!!
Awesome! Did you forget to send the triangle again?
I still remember, but I have to buy some envelopes... thanks for watching and for the reminder.
Great video chud, could you make a Hydro into a manual because, I've been building my lawn mower for the last 8 months and cannot figure it out. I'm trying to turn my Hydro into a manual but can't get the clutch and idlers right. The other thing is, when I turn my transaxle the way my engine turns it goes backwards do you have any advice?
I know I converted my John Deere, it was just a bolt in easy swap out. I only had to get a belt and build a shifter. If you were close, I would check it out .. good luck and thanks for watching!!
Hey Chud, what is the exact wheel and rim secs for the agent orange? Im building my mower and its the exact same one, just curious. Awesome video!
Have you ever done a front end lift
I have lift the fronts several times. It is super easy. Thanks for watching!!
Why is it live stream???😭😭😭
No, it was just a premiere so we could chit chat. thanks for the comment.
👍👍
Thanks and thanks for watching.
And did you name the mower
Special Agent Orange, thanks for watching!!
How is the mower going
Better than ever, thanks again for watching!!
Can you swap out the big main drive pulley on the rear to about a 2" for more speed?
You might could, but you may have to custom build a pulley. I feel it is easier to put a bigger in front. Plus it will slip less comments in the water. Thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 im thinking of drilling out the center of the rear pulley with a hole saw and welding the center into a smaller pulley.
Thanks.
I put a centrifugal clutch on the front, I think its equal to about a 5" pulley, it increased top speed a little.
Is that a Kabota diesel in the background?
Yes it is, thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 is there a video on it
By the way how did you make that three-point hich on emaly
I can't take credit fo that. It came from the factory that way... thanks for watching.
@@chud327 ohhhhhh
#TRUEFAN
Always love that and thanks for watching.!!!!!
Off the top of your head do you know what size the axle shafts are on the husqvarna.
3/4 inch front and rear. Thanks for watching.
@chud327 thank you I see 3/4 for sale and wanted to be sure they fit,and seeing how you mess with them I figured you would know.I pop in to your channel from time to time,I keep thinking you'll do something more with my favorite impala.Again thanks man.
I'm going to say 5,000 stay you can sell it
$5000 would be incredible!! Thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 how many lawn mower do you have or not oh ok 👌
How fast does it go
i think the top speed was 12 MPH, but I would have to go back and watch the video. I know it double the speed. thanks for watching.
@@chud327 is there a way to make it go faster or no
Chud.. If you remember me i got my V-Twin mower, and im happy now. But theres a problem. Its pretty slow and i would like to pulley flip it. But the thing is. There is a electric PTO. Do i need it there? Or can i just remove it and pulley flip it?
(EDIT: i found the step in the video for the PTO. So you can remove it?)
(EDIT #2: Okay so i should maybe just let the pulley be so small if it cant go over 8 mph..)
(EDIT #3: Maybe i should just keep my mouth shut and watch the video but can you answer this: Did it make a diffrence?)
Ah nevermind.. I should've watched the video it did make a diffrence.. Thanks chud.
Funny. I see one guy that used the electric PTO to drive the rear tires, but I don't recommend it. I used just take mine off. Is yours a hydro? Thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 Yeah, its a husqvarna CTH 160 and its hydrostatic. Im kinda bummed that it is hydro because the only thing nice about the chassi is the v-twin.
@@Mowersandstuff that is what I thought about mine, but now I kinda like it…
@@chud327 I forgot to ask. But, what does the electric PTO do?
I wish i had the speed on these builds as you but i drag my feet cause my fabrication skills suck
The best way to get better is to start working on them... If you were close, I could help. Thanks for watching!!
@@chud327 is 1600 miles to far?
Don’t sell Lt Johnson
I don't know, I got a guy wanting it bad ... It would also give room for more projects. We will see. Thanks for watching!!
How much for Troy 5
I am not sure, but feel free to make an offer. thanks for watching.
I need to ungov my m18 kolher bad...
I recommend, but if you blow it up, I never said that... Thanks again for watching!!
That’s pretty nice but I’d get tired of hearing it whine.
That's because it's a weak hydrostatic transaxle variant that whine is from the hydraulic pressure bypassing inside the motor due to its low displacement and internal gear ratio... A k66 (10cc/10cc) doesn't whine like those 7cc pump/10cc motor transaxles until severely overloaded... Those small pump transaxles run 21.5:1 (18inch stock tires) -28:1(20inch stock tire) gear reduction internally, the k66 runs 22:1 (18inch stock tires) or 37:1(23inch stock tires) internal gear ratios... Those small pump transaxles also only run 3000input rpm, where the larger displacement transaxles run 3400input rpm... But the biggest difference is the internal pump to motor port sizes are much larger on the large pump transaxles allowing more fluid volume flow rate
Really don't hear it much when you are riding with the loud exhaust. I hear it much better in the video. Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for watching!!
It aint chuds mower if it aint got reflectors
You know me well!! Thanks for watching!!
I should start selling Chud reflectors...
Weld the dif
That would be cool and thanks for watching!!
Pulley swapped tractors aren’t worth much in my area
Neither in my area however slow rotating loaded tires work better for blue clay in my area anyway... I run a simplicity conquest with k66 with factory manual diff lock (Hydrostatic transaxle) on stock size 23x10.50-12 vbar ag tires liquid ballasted at 80% fill. It runs a mowing deck still, tows a 4x8 trailer with its ball hitch riser and has tri Rib steer tires in 16x6.50-8 and rarely gets stuck in blue clay
Sounds like a beast, thanks for watching!!
I see some are on marketplace for big money, but I doubt they get what they are asking... Thanks for watching!!
my tecumseh 490 eat that engine/ you need more torque
Ikr, thanks for watching!!
