Hi from South Africa. Great video, alot of good info. I would just like to add, I'm a mechanic and know for a fact that it's never a good idea to shut down a hot turbo diesel engine. The stop/start function is just there for government compliance. To theoretically save fuel in city driving. You can have better piece of mind knowing you are taking better care of the turbo and letting it cool down properly after the enige was working hard.
Thanks for the video mate.....just picked up a Sport so this helps me get my bearings. Also have a 3t van coming later in the year....any issues that you know of with transmission oil temps so far?
Hi Darren. We have 23 WT V6 and we tow a 2.95tn van without any temperature problems from water, engine oil and trans oil. We towed to Kalbarri a month ago and air temp was over 45 degrees without any dramas. You will enjoy it. By the way our GCM is around 6.2tonne.
Gday Darren. 95% of the time it sits around 3/4 but on the long hill climbs and constant ups and downs with lots of gear changes it gets very close to the orange mark on the gauge so we are looking at getting one fitted soon but I don’t feel it’s overly urgent at the moment. We just monitor it and back off a bit if it starts climbing. We are also considering getting a deep oil pan for the transmission aswell

Good to see another video mate. Can’t wait to get our v6 wildtrak in May.
Cheers mate and i promise the wait is worth it.
Great information on your new vehicle guys. Looking forward to more great videos. 👍
Nice. I pickup my 2024 Ford Ranger 3l V6 next week
Hey Josh, have you looked at Front Runner Roof Racks? They are low and only weigh about 38kg with mounts from memory.
Also be aware of the roof load rating which is not very much when travelling but I think around 350kg when parked.
Gday mate, ill have a look into them. Cheers.
Hi guys, can I ask where you got your seat covers from. I love my new ranger too.
Hey mate 👋 yea we got ours custom made from prestige sheepskins, there very comfy but if you get the sheep skin it does mat together after a while.
