I would have ordered a Wildtrak X if it was available as a V6. I went the Platinum instead, will upgrade the wheels down the track. Ford has plenty of 2.0L engines available which explains this.
Dude…. I have a dmax x terrain and I was thinking all this week about how I can add a rack at the back for long stuff…. Wildtrack X with the integrated roller rack for long stuff. I’m truely impressed. Brilliant engineering on that one !!! Great vid Ty
Awesome Video and amazing part of the world, my hometown is Cromwell (in the fog). Nevis road is an awesome trip, plenty of variation in terrain and Mace town is a beauty of a day trip! Your video is making me miss home big time mate!!
Went for the X. Simple really two less injectors to service way more space both sides of the engine way easier to work on. The v6 I'm pretty sure it'll be nightmare to work on and yea more expensive to fix.
It is great that Ford is listening to its client base on some levels producing the wildtrack X? I am curious as to when Ford will listen to the clients feed back about being able to order a wildtrak or wildtrak X without all the tub extra’s. I like many ppl want to fit a fibreglass canopy (Carryboy ARB or another brand) but donot want to pay for all the extras over the tub as they are going to be removed anyway. Once Ford starts to listen, then I will look to put down a deposit and order. Ford please listen as I do not want to pay for 2-3k of extras I am only going to remove…..! The clock is ticking before the order might be placed with another manufacturer.

Wildtrak X bloody great addition shame no V6 option is the let down.
Yeah I think that ford should give it the V6 !
@@TyFenwick do you know why they didn't??
@@sylvanocergnulli7229fuel usage off road?
@@sylvanocergnulli7229 yeah so they thought it would be better for touring. Better fuel economy for longer trips with the bi turbo.
@@darrensmith4661 bi turbo fuel efficiency really don’t change across the range.
Will they introduce an Everest version of the X?
I hope so !
