Nothing edited... you present your journey as it happens. Thanks for this! I start my training in February 2022. I now know what to expect... Dreams vs Reality!
I slipped just as I was lifting off and my frame twisted when it hit the ground on to the propeller and smashed it so now I'm without a propeller and a damaged frame and will probably be next summer now before I can afford the replace it. I'm glad you are back making new videos
Nice Video Paul. On those nill wind days. Try running your motor up (blowing air over the wing) for a little longer, 20 seconds ought to do it. It helps set up a nice airflow. Then launch immediately into that. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the video as always - Love for an update on the EOS Quattro. Before the Map popped up, i was looking at the ground thinking 'i know that topography' ... Used to live in Irthlingborough and flew a couple times from the nene vally. Now i am living in Perth Australia. Got to actually see the old house in the video. Great you got to land at Rushdan lakes, i asked the owner about 5 years ago and they were not too keen, but great guys - they let me take a jetski out on the water; told me where you landed was used by an RC club.
Glad you got that sorted Paul! Another great flight. I was rewatching your training vlogs the other day while I was bored, back in those early flights you were making all sorts of noises of discomfort with bumps, now look at you, taking them like they're nothing at all.
I think I was going through the same forward launch grief on the exact same day, not a breath of wind to be had. Nearly quit and went home but got it on 5th attempt dripping with sweat and had the loveliest sunset flight (my first) in beautiful smooth air. Thank you for sharing yours in spite of all your experience - that takes guts but makes people like me me feel so much better as we learn this incredible sport - and thanks for the commentary on outs and observations on wind, grass length etc stuff like that .. really useful to hear. Was born a Northampton lad (Wilts now and trained at Membury) but hadn't realised how scenic your bit was until I watched this! all the best to you Paul.
Well done for walking away after the second failed launch! This is something I will need to learn to do and leave my ego at home! I’m looking forward to flying over my old haunts in Dorset next year if Captain COVID allows it.
My Mrs Just Said 'Does everyone get that tired after a few goes not taking off?' I'm like yes, it's surprising energy absorbing failing a launch or too! Must be something in the air, I completely failed a landing on my last video. Glad you got up though! It's always worth it!

I am just looking at getting into this sport after, like you, watching Tucker Gott. I wanted a more UK based perspective of the whole thing and found your channel which I have now been binge watching for the last couple of days. You provide a great insight to the whole learning process and have just fuelled my desire to take it up. I have found an instructor fairly close to me, I just need to save up for the course and the equipment. Hopefully this time next year I will be well along in my journey. Keep the videos coming.
@@PARANOOB Sorry to trouble you with this, but do you know if there's any issue with the Paramotor club website?. I've been trying to sign up to it but keep getting an error message. I have contacted them but had no response.

Good show ol’ boy, I’ll have to pop down for a flight before the weather gets too bad. Looks like a nice area to fly and that Maccy D’s trip sounds promising 😉
Exact same harness I have. Love it so far. Been thinking about moving my hang points forward but my arms have only Front/middle/rear. Currently in the middle. The only issue I have is that I have to shove the seat under me with one hand. Maybe just my extra long legs. My wife tells me my mood is bad if I go to the field and can't get in the air. I try to just be glad I'm only disappointed. Grass stains on the knees from the day before? :D Thank you for including that too. Thank you as always for the tour.
Love the way you 'tell it like it is' mate :-) Makes me keep watching! And you're static hang check was ok, like I've recently done on my Miniplane...but on take-off it was not so easy for me to slide into the seat? (which was great in the garage...) Me thinks it's the thrust that changes the angle of the seat during a full power take off... what say you friend? Cheers again, keep posting as we always are still learning!
Since I can't fly real aircraft, due to low vision, I have to do it in a simulator. Been checking out all my old schools, in all the cities I've lived in, in Flight Simulator 2020, as well. Sadly, all the old houses I've lived in did not survive the hurricanes, like Katrina, down in Biloxi, Mississippi, but the schools, except for one, are all still there. Very sorry to hear of one of your friend's losses. Thanks for the video.

Make sure you hit me up if you do the mc Donald’s. It’s definitely on the list. And like you say that’s so doable. May have to pull a sickie for that one lol.
What could also be happening is the XL harness could have dropped your torso lower relative to the frame. This would put the motor's thrust vector high over your center of mass. Jumping to full throttle do you find you get pitched forward momentarily?

Just subscribed! Thinking of getting into the hobby How much in regards to g-force and stress on take off do you get? Is the motor heavy? I know that McDonalds!!
Hiya! Thanks for watching and for the sub! When your feet leave the ground all the stress goes away.. :) For normal flying, G-force isn't a thing. Obviously you can feel it when turning tighter etc. Motors vary in weight; 4-strokes like mine are the heaviest, low cc two-strokes are the lightest. You're only carrying your motor and fuel until you take off, after that you're just sitting there, with the wing carrying everything. If you're local to me, get hold of Clive at CM Paramotors and pop along to his field one day when students are training. He'll answer all your questions and you can watch everybody.
