I wonder if you brought a couple of cork-screw dog leash tether steaks, if those would allow you to strap down your motor, to stop it falling over, in the night, during a gust? Maybe four steaks, two, each side of the motor. Then just use bungee cord hooks to secure it. treally looked like a fun trip. Thanks for sharing.
The microlight guys were all using those to tie their planes down in the wind. Bit overkill for the tent though, just needs a guy and a peg. You'd have to carry those tie-downs in flight too.
Absolutely more than happy to explain how the circuits work at different airfields no problem at all if you give yourself an evening up and popover will sit down and go through it
25:49 You can see Clive drift into a tandem fly camp fantasy. I think I'll be after one of these tents, I had thought about designing and making one similar but it's a lot of time and effort. Pannier bags are on the way though ;)
In other videos I've seen for this tent, there's another peg in the ground on the other side of the paramotor, and you've got a tension line between that peg and the top of the paramotor, so that it's secured from both sides against falling over. ua-cam.com/video/riSeIsnMun0/v-deo.html
Nice little Ridgeway interlude:) Yes I was there, rode the bike. I wish I'd stayed now and gone for a fly with you Giles Tracy and Clive:) but my wing has been out of commision. Chopped some lines. Got it fixed now. Glad you didn't get a rude awakening with the motor falling over but it's not beyond the wit of man to add a piece of cordage to act as a guy line. I like it too. Bit worrying about the oil loss. get a two stroke. Total oil loss system and no worries:) Sandy
@5:03 Dudek Power Seat Comfort is the harness I use with my OpenPPG. Very comfortable. So much so I keep forgetting to get out of the seat until just before I land. =O
How many years till you're not a noob? Goo Goo Dolls ran into the same problem. When they went to put out their first record, they wanted to change their name but were afraid their fans wouldn't know to buy their album. Hey, I'm trying to come up with a new moniker too. Start training next month. You've already taken noob..ha. I've got some good ones though.
Your "language" doesn't bother me in the least Para. You should've heard me for the past 3 hours working on changing the cage ribs in my Miniplane. The dingbats used fiberglass rods - two per side to form the curve but the connections were to straight 3 inch long aluminum (no flexibility). After 4 breaking themselves of their own volition ($200) due to bad design, I said there's got to be a better way! 1/4 inch solid, one piece aluminum, one per side, I am now break free!
Cracking idea with the tent but not quite polished enough as a concept. I have a very light Vango UL2 and I think I'd rather pitch that, then have a separate cover pegged over the motor at night. Hopefully Gin will refine it a bit and I think your extra strap idea would make all the difference. 👍
I liked your idea of a camouflaged outer skin. I guess the inner skin could remain orange. And an extra tie-down strap to keep the engine from falling on you in the middle of the night would be good. Great video!
Paul, on the V5S I have seen the breather pipe looped over and fed into a hole in the centre of the air filter, so the engine consumes any oil. Can't comment if this is a good thing or not.
Cant believe you still get nervous before take off after what you have gone through. Great tent, This is the sort of thing i will need as I will be doing that "Weekend flying". Leave on Sat morning come home Sun night type of thing. Suppose you can add 1 peg and a bungee for the motor not hitting you on the head thing. Keep them coming (not so) noob boy. I did laugh when i saw the title, thought you were going to drink a cheeky Gin whilst flying. can imagine you with a pink G and T in a goldfish bowl lol.
Waiting next vid on it
😆👍
Just having fun with ya mate, seems it took ya awhile to set up
It's worse than Carry On Camping.. I'll do a proper version when the weather and Covid allow. Thanks for watching! 👍
@@PARANOOB I've seen this tent and didn't want to try. Looking at material to sew my own, maybe buy a Dominator wing and cut it up for it. 🤣
@@freddiemoench2551 But the Dominator is the best wing evah, Saint Dell says so, so it must be true. Why damage such holy material ?
LOVE IT
Keep the video coming. Sending good vibes from the states.
Appreciate that. :)
Looking forward to the 4 day X-country expo!
I need to know about that..... :D

Kind of defeats the object of small and light I guess.
@@PARANOOB Oh, that's true, too. Well, glad you found a work-around, then. :)
@@paramotor.training Indeed. thought they were lighter than that. Well, they are for big dogs, too. LOL So... Yeh. LOL ;)

Would love to, thank you. Not really a need-to-know, but definitely a good-to-know thing.
That tent looks nice. Good video! 👍
Thanks 👍
Good one pommie 🤘🏼
Good to fly with you again, I did try and slow down ..honestly. Thank you for an honest review on the tent.
You too dude! Expect to see the tent on a future adventure.. ;)
Love the channel dude, vids are great 🤟🤟
Thanks Rob! :)
very good presenter. PARANOOB. straight talk abit like my wife a LONDONER. both with no b.s. thumbs up ;0)
Thanks Tony!
@@PARANOOB no problem ;0)

Would it be more stable if you left your seat down and put the wing on top of it?
Possibly, but a guy and a peg would solve. Knowing me, theres probably one in the bag! 😆

I'm reasonably sure the mistake is mine! 😀
I bought that tent, hoping to use it properly if the world ever returns to 'normal'...
@@PARANOOB Here you can see it: ua-cam.com/video/riSeIsnMun0/v-deo.html
@@PARANOOB I forgot to ask - is it fireproof? Can you keep some candles in there with you for heat?
I had no idea you can get fireproof tents.

Para! Great opening! When you coming to Florida? Offer remains open! Just saw the Trikes! Been flying mine since '96! But I prefer Paramotors!

Interesting. The Gin website shows a line for the Paramotor end. Were you short changed? Think I want one.
Probably a screw up on my part to be fair.
Class mate loved it!!! LMAO
You saved me!

I tried that. It just filled my filter with oil that seeped through and all over everything.
i bet that outer tent is a good cover when transporting a trike on a trailer.

I bet you a £1 that it was Sandy who suggested it be 'covert' lol
Lmao! No, I missed him, was another sneaky stay-over merchant..
26 mph into wind sounds reasonable, how much of a headwind do you reckon there was ?
Not sure, pretty strong though. Needs a proper review really, not a 15min buzz about.
I'm 6'9" so this isn't the perfect solution for me right?
You might be a bit long!
Finally got a chance to catch up with the big names! Great stuff mate!
Big names my arse.. thanks for watching dude. 👍
