Notice how Sanji likes to put up a front. He says earlier that he doesn't mind if Usopp dies if it's for Nami's sake but in the next episode we immediately see that Sanji sacrifices himself for Usopp in order to protect him AND Nami. So remember not to take his talk about women too seriously. Sanji despite his words puts his crew first. When it really comes down to it, he is willing to put his life on the line to protect them.
Ussop could easily defeat Enel but is letting Luffy take the glory. Enel stands no chance against Rubberband of Doom. Truly the strongest strawhat and bravest by allowing others to build up their pride while damaging his own. True bravery.

they say "kin" means gold in japanese hence the kintama for comedy. I just remember it because of the one episode of Gintama when it became a golden hair gin-san. they called it Kintama.

Facts
Once again I gotta love how One Piece can just casually swing from serious to ridiculous at the drop of a hat. From Luffy's dramatic fall, to Sanji & Usopp's comedy, to Nami's serious character growth scene, right back to Usopp's baffoonery, all the way to Sanji's dramatic sacrifice. All those tone shifts and none of it seems out of place. I've never seen any story casually juggle multiple tones like this. lol.
sadly many people overlooked these and claimed that sky island is the worst arc (maybe due to lesser actions or the pacing). In terms of writing, this is fuckin' genius, also with how oda tied all the story from the beginning to the end... hands down, it's a pure class writing

Enel obviously doesn't understand his own powers. If he had simply boosted the *wattage* and not the *voltage* then NOBODY would be getting back up.
One of the most bustedly OP powers in the show. In the hands of someone more competent, he'd already be the Pirate King. It's got a massive range, it's got stopping power, it's got AoE, it's got speed, and it's got sheer destructive power. We should just be glad someone with more combat experience doesn't have it.

I actually think Enel is extremely intelligent. If he wasnt, he wouldnt have beaten luffy the first time. He just genuinely thinks that hes a god and that he cant lose.

Enel is god on sky island, he doesn’t have the powers of God in our world, omniscient omnipotent omnipresent Enel just has the mantra and the power of lightning, so it makes sense for him to ask "What did you do inside my ark "
The creator of one piece Oda does crazy things but has the logic of the one piece behind it, When he puts a power for the character there is a limit.
OP is not DBZ type anime where it has a character that snap the finger and destroys universe
One more thing. There are SO many more characters who would absolutely destroy Enel. You can't even imagine the level of power some of the top dogs of the One Piece world possess. Someone like Enel would be a literal joke compared to them.
Now that we have seen so much from the grand line i can honestly say that Ener is still one of the most powerful beings on the planet. Just like crocodile he appeared to early on.. and we all though he was weak.. but sreing the scale of his attacks the guy is a walking living ancient weapon...the only logia fruit similar in destructive power is the magu magu..
So I'm catching up on your videos. And now that you're finished Sky Island I feel like it's ok to finally say this. In terms of raw power, Enel's devil fruit is about top 5 including where the story currently is right now. If he was in the Blue Sea at this point of the story, he would wipe the floor with almost everyone.
