Thanks so much for uploading this! Really interesting to hear these insights from the lads themselves on a topic that has stirred up major reactions even to this day. I bet this will be in the upcoming Peter Jackson documentary (or it should be).

According to the authors of "Get Back - The Unauthorized Chronicle of The Beatles' Let It Be Disaster" George was angry at Yoko's constant presence and knew Paul felt the same but wouldn't say so out loud. He was just as angry at Paul as he was at John. And John was going through a period where he thought they didn't need verbal communication so he wasn't saying much which Neil talks about in this clip. It's a fascinating book, the inside scoop from the film sound recordings.

“It’s gonna be incredible like, in 50 years, they split up because Yoko sat on an amp”.
Yep, it is odd now, Paul.

Yoko was the least of their problems. The Beatles as a business was self destructing for a good while. 4 people in a bubble for years, can’t go anywhere, having to ask if it’s possible to do anything as a normal person. Someone different came into the frame like yoko, so what’s going to happen. If people can point the finger at Yoko for breaking up the Beatles then they should have the decency to realise that she gave them their freedom. John didn’t seem too worried. It was more like let’s not upset each other in case we break up or this money making business comes to an end. Instead we can take out our frustration on someone who is different. It’s called a witch hunt and has been around since the beginning of time. The lengths people will go to in order to protect their investment.

I wish MLH had _listened_ to Paul's ideas for how to film them, it would have been so good, so intense. What Linda and Paul say here, 23:33 about "a study" of Ringo, of each of them in turn, how great that would have been! "...and then John, his amp, his guitar, actually sitting there, doing it at _that_ minute". And here, 30:58 when Paul talks about a gliding long shot, and asking for the cameras "to float around us" - how wonderful! Or, here 34:22 "Get the close-up lenses, man and get right into one of John's eyes! Can you do that?" Paul knew exactly what would excite the audience about seeing them as musicians, working, because it's the same stuff that excites him.

I have problems in my life, so instead I'm listening to this old conversation. Just nonsensical! Yet, here I sit waiting for wisdom to hit me right where it matters.

Paul (mumbling): I don't think he'll [George] come back.

In case anyone's wondering why Paul seems to let John do what he wants, apart from wanting John to stay - is he knew Yoko before John did and commissioned her work at his Indica gallery in London, claiming her was the London avant garde bachelor at the time. He operated under the name of Ian Iachimoe back them. She even went to Paul's house re a charity. He sent John over to meet her. They pretended she didn't know who the Beatles were. Very weird. It’s clear to me that the 3 should just candidly tell John and Yoko that they did not want her at meetings or sessions. Lennon would have quit then returned and Yoko would run her enterprise.

Correct John needed The Beatles more than the rest. I would have played chicken. He was quite happy to have Cynthia at home while he was at Abbey Road, Madamme Ono should have been told to stay away too.

Talking behind peoples backs never sorted anything, especially if they get to hear about it. Linda has a lot to say for herself, just saying.
