I love when Rickys talking about the firing squad during ww1 how only 1 shooter had the real bullet and the others had blanks so no one carried the real guilt. We still do that today in UT
Well I’ll just say as a Canadian like a Brit… death penalty. Outrageous! What’s not outrageous? KARL!!!!! He is the best human I’ve ever heard and want to have a cuddle with! ( sorry Suzanne) 🫧
I was injected in the head today - the back of the head, the Occipital nerve to be specific. My head's caved in and I'm in bed listening to these bad boys back to back, but thankfully my skull didn't fall off 😅
@KatieBlue16 lol amazing how these are still listened to all these years later. I never knew people still listen lol I started listening to these about 6 years ago because I couldn't switch off and sleep so tried these. Now I cant sleep without these 3. Weird init lol

I assume you can tell the difference between firing a blank and a real bullet, from the recoil. So after the execution by firing squad I think someone knows he had a real bullet. And surely it would have to be more than one live bullet because the guy with a bullet might miss. I have doubts about this story. But I could believe one or two blanks so everyone would know beforehand there's a chance they won't be shooting a real bullet.
You can certainly tell the difference in recoil between blanks and a real round. I remember reading that during firing squad executions that they would use wax projectile rounds in that were similarly weighted to a real round to more accurately simulate the recoil rather than a blank. Also, they would only have one of the 5-6 firers with the wax round. However, no one in the squad would know who had the wax round so they could all plausibly believe they were the one who fired the wax round
We still have this to this day here in UT and from what i understand is that its not "blanks" they shoot but specially made cartridges that are a sort of plastic that are less lethal so you still get hit with each round but only 1 will penetrate the body aka the heart. Because the other "blanks" still hit the chest so hard it would penetrate the skin and probably stop your heart from being hit there so hard by multiple rounds. Its bizarre because even though only 1 alone would kill you, the others together will probably do the same thing just not as humanely. But i guess it still "helps" with the persons psychology. At least that's what they say 🤷 you still have to aim at someone and pull the trigger. That being said it may be more humane than the other. No cock ups
I love it when they force him into role play 🤣
