I love the empire in AOTR, the early game difficulty of being surrounded on all sides having to rebuild and reunite the core, into the later game snow ball of imperial might..... only for me to lose kuat to a rebel fleet with 157 Y-WINGS!! my campaign is going great...... Edit: so I found out the AI responds to what you are doing, because i was spamming stardestroyers and victory 2s they massed anti capital ship fighters, that also may be why the rebels are starting to spam quasars.
@@cabbage712 from the screen shot i took before they attack kuat, 16 bulk carriers, 10 quasars, only 9 X-wings, captain shack and some other random rebel picket ships and some random hape ships
Yeah, the AI tends to build counters towards massed fleets. Had a planet garrisoned by golans and SDs with planetary turbolasers for good measure and got smacked by 3 Justices…and about 200+ fighters.
My most bulls**t moment was Yaga Minor being ground invaded by 17 Snow Speeders and the only reason I won is because I had 5 anti-air turrets, an anti-air walker, and a big Flak cannon (still lost the Flak cannon to then though) It space it was 7 dreadnought heavy cruisers, 27 hammerheads, and 9 CR90s
@shawnateiagd7697 That is honestly just a nasty fucking fleet to deal with, period, lol. Like damn. In AotR good starfighters will wreak havoc. If you're still fighting this gruesome war I'd recommend those cloakshape squadrons if you have any way to get them as the empire. Maybe through the acclamators or venators maybe? Cloakshape squadrons are essentially like glass cannons in function, they offload a hail of anti starfighter missles upon approach but have slow reload and are miserable dogfighters but in groups they can wipe whole groups of fighterw
Perfect empire moment. "Fighters go kill Dodonna.... Oh that's a lot of picket ships better pull my fighter's back.... What are you doing fighters? I told you to kill Dodonna!"
Considering there's a hyper velocity cannon on Ord Mantell, I'd say hold off on deploying the Arc Hammer if you're worried about loosing it. Perfect opportunity to build some Dark Troopers and then after the space battle they can be deployed in combat with your main army.
Ooh in TR the warlord around the Namadii Corridor is the Pentastar Alignment (my personal favorite warlord). I think it would fit Shed perfectly and they even have access to venators as one of their roster units.
Really waiting for a TR playthrough from Shack because I feel like the EAWX mods are shadowed by AoTR and Remake. Outside of Corey playing his mods by live playtesting new versions, nobody plays TR.
@@legendairenic6247 It doesn't help that in EAWX mods most ships feel like tissue paper they should really work on buffing them at least a little bit other wise they are decent mods for larger scale battles.
@@rmcgowa1987 They do tend to get ripped up pretty quick after shields go down. I think that's the tradeoff for no shield penetration. Doubly brutal since if you get a hero killed they stay dead, so that mess with Vader could easily repeat itself much worse. And overall TR really expects you to be pausing to analyze the battle and give orders, which Shack tends not to do. People say AotR is harder, but in some ways the pace of the game makes it much easier. Moving from AotR to TR would probably be quite a mechanics shock, if anything he should probably start on Recruit and slowly up the difficulty over time.
@@rmcgowa1987 really the reason they are so fragile is that its the only way to keep battles from taking hours. The EAWX mods tend to have battles with large numbers of less individually powerful ships, while AOTR has smaller numbers of more powerful ones. Increasing durability means each one of them on both sides would take even longer to get through.
@@evanhenderson1760 Yes but most republic ships are tissue paper where as the cis providence and bulwark 1 and 2 feel much tankier. Both victory types are said to be a match for a bulwark in the lore so a victory feeling squishy doesn't seem right.
Been writing a script for a sci-fi tv show and doing the pilot to send off to get a masters. For one of the characters, the galactic chief admiral, I didn’t have a name so called him Shack as a place holder and now I can’t not picture him as you. I did make another character with the place holder name if Edword Coolen (the bait love interest that’s meant to give a feeling of comfort before he’s killed and everything goes tits up) so i think that first guy got off very lucky.
Using your probe droid you used to reveal the space stations, use it again to look at Ord Mantell's ground map and find out where that hyper velocity cannon is, send some storm commandos in and destroy it. Not only is this tactically a good thing, but it would also give a lore reason why Shed is so brilliant and is the reason why he became a moff. Use those storm commandos, they will save you so much headache if you don't destroy that gun first.
Shack, when a weapon in aotr has 'burst' in it's name that refers to how many times it fires before reloading, it has nothing to do with the weapon type. So in the case of the Gladiator's 2x 4-Burst Assault Missile Launchers, it has 2 launchers which each fire a burst of 4 missiles before reloading.
You could raid Ord Mantell and try to destroy the power generator before the orbital assault? Quickly train up your new tier 3 raider infantry and knock it out?
There are many good suggestions to raid and take out the planetary guns. But also, Shed is getting close to his population cap. Which can easily be fixed with orbital stations at the newly "liberated" worlds. However, the thing I most excited for is a new X4 campaign. Because it's been ages since we've seen it with the SW mod. Thanks for the video, Captain!
Stick a governors planet on every single owned planet no matter its location . Get that income rolling in. (Maybe it’s a foolish move but if the rebels take let’s say 2 of our imperial planets in the next episode. You’ll still have something like 12 more governors buildings bring in income. Pull a hydra on these galactic scum)
I like to think that when vader lose his ship that he is not available simply because he is waiting for his new ship to be built. I don’t think he would normally be easily held prisoner by another party with the power he has. On the other hand it would make him cooler that he simply come back from surviving his defeat after a month of assuming him death, like a force that always comes back
Imagine the rebels tried freezing him in carbonite, sedating him into a coma or shutting down all his cybernetics except for life support. Meanwhile his mind is still active and he uses his force abilities to haunt the planet he's held on. Kinda like the Living Totem from the Spider. A dark sorcerer buried alive by his slaves possessed his grave marker. Living on as a disaster causing artifact.
Shack, you should take out the Hypervelocity Gun with a combination of Storm Commandos and Dark Troopers. Use all variants to make the invasion easier on your forces
Death squadron log: It's rare that I don't find the heart to write a lot. Lord Vader has disappeared and most of my brethren lost the will to truly fight, they still obey but there is nothing here. I don't have the same problem but lord Vader's absence is not easy. We have been transferred under an admiral. Star is the name. Not impressed. Atleast the 501st is here too. Seeing Naila healed and ready to fight brought a lot conviction in my heart, I genuinely missed her. We stayed with the fleet and we were recently deployed in a very entertaining engagement, but it's not the same without him. Lord Vader is strong, the dark side flows through his vains, I know he is out there, I know he will return. Until then, we don't lack in enemies to crush.
[Personal log] [Sgt. Fenris Wallner, 421st Stormtrooper Battalion, Assault Detachment D] [Location: Jedda] After Vaders battle group got pulled out for repairs we were reassigned to a new commander. Seems to be some up and coming commander name Shaft, Shed or something like that. Like usual we only saw him once before we were send down to Jedda. Have some speech about glory the usual stuff. Battle of Jedda was rough but nothing we couldn’t handle. The defense consisted of pirates and other criminal scum. Jedda has really gone to poodoo after the city got destroyed. We only took light casualties and the new commander has promised us full reinforcements. Which would be a nice change.
50:21 Around Bastion in TR, that's Pentastar Alignment territory. They're a pretty good faction to start off with. In Era 1 starts the Galactic Empire proper has the area around Ord Mantell. Zsinj's Empire is a bit to the East of that, and could be interesting since it basically includes parts of the Black Sun, if you wanted to integrate that into the narrative. Pentastar is probably the most appropriate start though, since they have a solid position and lorewise their integration of corporate powers in the region could be useful for whatever story you wanted to tell (IE ArmCo was in the Pentastar talks). If you got in touch with someone on their Discord, there's a fair enough chance they'd whip you up a custom Shed hero for use in the campaign. Of course since heroes generally stay dead in TR, maybe that's not the best idea with your playstyle.
Also you get to keep whatever jedi you built even if you lose Ilum. Just like you get to keep your dreadnoughts even if you lose the shipyards for them
Would be really cool to see you train up some of the Storm Commandos to hit Ord Mantell and take out the power generator just before the fleet gets there to hit the orbital defenses. No need to win the raid, just a quick mission to find the generator and bring enough explosives to take it out before retreating. Put the hypervelocity cannon out of commission before the fleet is in range.
Shed becoming Moff sounds very cool and fitting. Vader is gone and Shed is pulling an Imperial Officer and is trying to advance his standing in the Empire by becoming a Moff.
You should build stealth units at your tier 3 barracks and on the arc hammer then raid ord mantel for the soul purpose of destroying the hypervelocity cannon or the power generator. An imperial sabotage mission would be pretty cool to watch. I’m pretty sure the storm commandos have a building destroyer variant that would be really good for the job. If not, dark troopers should have a missile variant with a jet pack
Captain Use Storm Commandos and dark troopers and make a good and big spec ops for missions such as hitting the hypervelcoity cannon before sending the fleet so you can give them a better chance, plus the shipyard at Yaga Minor has your other SSD that should stay there to help defend plus with a large shipyard its really a game changer. Plus maybe see if you have any stealth heros that could help in raiding.
-General Rom Mohc"Captain my Dark Troopers have stealth capabilities,we could send them on the ground of Ord Mantell and destroy that hyper velocity gun,I have complete faith that they will accomplish their mission".
"Quellor's now under imperial control, or at least the orbit is. We also attempted to hunt down the Quazar mob over Koensayr, but they hyperspaced out before we could engage them and have eluded us, for now. "Up in the north work's getting done, though the rebels have built up _yet another_ fleet full of Quazars stuffed with fighters and attacked Bastion, way off in the far north. I suspect they saw an easy target and went for it. "The Bellator's fleet has ensured Ilum is secure, and Jedha's now under our control. I'm glad it's that fleet dealing with those worlds and not us, Ilum in particular gives me the creeps..." Beady had to pause to fight of the shiver down his back. "The rumour is Ord Mantell's the next target, supposedly a key world for the pirates in the surrounding regions. Everything I've heard is second hand information, but it sounds like the planet's well defended with numerous space stations and a hypervelosity cannon."
Admiral's Log Log 12 Bellator Dreadnought "Megador" Shed's positivity here has been through the roof. His main focus for now seems to be taking Ord Mantell to secure a Moff position. Honestly I couldn't care less about his position as long as he keeps Rebellions in check, something Tarkin was terrible at. Though the Plan for Ord Mantell has stalled due to the presence of Black Sun Shipyards and a hypervelocity gun, Admiral Rom Mohc did make an interesting approval with the (REDACTED) program We arrived over (REDACTED). The mining guild is busy over there, harvesting (REDACTED) for something new. One green one stuck out to me though, and I kept it, not sure what to do with it though. The Megador has been refitted. It's been given (REDACTED) placed into the reactors to improve performance, and the it was noticeable in the improvement in performance and maintenance. The 528th arrived to join with the Megador yesterday, finished with their siege of Anten II. The inquisitor with them seems to be overly curious with the (REDACTED). I later learned they use it for their lightsabers. I guess holding on to one is a good idea after all My cousin meanwhile is moving south. The Restoration is needed to join the more hectic front lines. It's boring up here, nothing to do but mine away on some cold forsaken world. The only good thing is I get to use my love of exploration at this place, there are many jedi artifacts and architecture to see. There was this one group of scrappers though from years ago. Our mining operation was nicknamed the Imperial Trench and these scrappers made a mess of the place. There were just a group of people with a Latero in a a Yacht. Apparently the last expedition were cut down. This didn't look good for their performance, nor with the inquisitor with here purge troopers being lost After (REDACTED), we headed for Jedha, another Jedi ruined area. Pirates rampage over the area. In space they controlled a decent amount of ships, nothing the Megador would notice. Except for this Mandolorian battleship. It had no shields but was armored as hell. However, turbolasers proved to be superior. During the fight though, it happened again. This same group of pirates, mark and everything, attempted to flank the Megador's rear. Luckily it wasn't as powerful and the Megador is equipped for this. A remote controlled old destroyer was sent in to be a sacrifice, but it was not necessary. On the ground, it was mostly steamrolling any pirates in the area. It took a while, but, the (REDACTED) is ready to join the fleet, the first one out of production. Named "The Entrapment," it should help with more... decisive victories I've heard of Vader's replacement though, Admiral Star on the ISD Darkstar. the 501st seem more lax than usual, not as efficient but definitely happier, once I get off Shed's back, I'll request to be sent south to meet him in person This log... isn't as productive or thought inducing as I hoped it would. There is so much to hide from the lower ranks. They can't know of this operation, to avoid spies. He boarded one of the frigates during the battle. They apparently want Vader to get a new flagship.A ship so destructive it puts the Megador to shame. All they need is the funds for it, once they use the funds, they'll admit to using it but not why. I asked why me out of all people would have to know this. Turns out, Shed has been put under suspicion for the pirates Ambushing the Devastator, and they need me who sticks around him often to watch over him. Afterwards they still need me to hide the secret of the flagship from the frontlines due to Agents and inner circle members being to dangerous to be there. To help with this, they did not promote me but gave me Inner Circle Clearance, the highest code clearance in the Empire. Even in this log, it must be kept secret what the new flagship is. I cannot say more as not even the Grand Admirals or Grand Moffs can know. Just know the codename of the project PROJECT: EXECUTOR
Shack, one of the Legends stories of Han Solo’s immediately preceding new Hope had the Empire trying to clean Nar Shadaa with a fleet, and the Hutts sent Han to buy the plans from the Imperial admiral. He did sell them, thinking the Imps were so overpowering anyways that it wouldn’t matter, the smugglers/criminals chose to fight and bought as manymercs and invited some Rebels, and soundly whipped the fleet while suffering a fair number of casualties, including Solo’s ship before he won the Falcon and a crew member. Afterwards, he was hiding in the office when Vader crunched the Admirals windpipe, and got ahold of the Kraft pearl among the bribes the Hutt gave the admiral. He used the pearl as collateral to get into the sabacc tournament where he won the Falcon from Lando. A much better story than the canon Solo movie.
I'd love to see a continuation in Thrawn's revenge. As for factions, the North-East of the map is home to three. The northern section of the standard imperial remnant, the east section of the Empire of the Hand (Thrawn's Chiss/Imperial hybrid group), and the Pentastar alignment. Personally I'd vote for Pentastar as they're a carrier focused faction, meaning they get the classic Venators
I love that the ai counters large/powerful ships with carriers and fighter spam, it even does this in vanilla. In my vanilla campaign I have two deathstacks running dual Interdictors so they can't run away, because i don't want to deal with them swarming my planets. Used to have one Interdictor per large fleet, now I run two because deploying one just ends up with it's Gravity Wells destroyed.
One to run grab well, one to run jammer, a couple lancers around them, and a crapton of Tie Defenders. Throw in a missile boat and some kind of capital guns like a rector/praetor./imp 2.
Lol I don’t turn the gravity well on until they try to run. They don’t go for the indirector unless it’s on. Wipe out a chunk of the fleet. They try to run. Turn it on and profit.
@@TaylorRayborn way too easy to get focused on micromanaging. Turn it on, leave it on, sweep all in front with f you with that imperial spear point design, leave the grav well one behind, move the jamming interldictor with the fleet. Always run two interdictor cruisers in a fleet, too.
Pentastar Alignment has access to the Corridor in the northern part of the Star Wars Galaxy, next door to the Empire of the Hand. I've played their campaign in GC on Thrawn's Revenge.
The northwest sector of the galaxy is usually where the pentastar allignment is located. And later in the timeline all imperial remnants would merge and fall back to that sector as well. Bastion would become their new capital. By that time they made peace with the NR.
I suggest you invest more in smaller frigates and cruisers for combating the rebels. Let our heavier ships focus on wiping out the black sun, where the fighter fight is more even. As for tactics, I suggest using our Broadside cruisers to strike their defensive structures from range before moving in for the kill. Perhaps you should hold the arc hammer in reserve for the opening stages of the battle until the opportune moment. That way, it’ll spend far less time under fire from that hyper velocity cannon.
One of my favorite non-jedi, non-sith religious groups in Star Wars is the Cult of the Central Isoptera. It is said they are drawn by the Force to wherever an apocalyptic disaster is about to take place, like some heralds of impending doom. Some of them can be seen in Rogue One, wandering the streets of Jedha hours before the Death Star strike.
i think my favorite era of star wars is between episode 3 and rouge one and with tales of the jedi i love to see more series set in the era before episode 1 like between high republic and episode 1
Hey Cap, a few people already posted this, but the Pentastar Alignment is in control of that region. If you chose to go that route, their faction controls Venators as a backbone of their navy, not mentioning my personal favorite the Secutor class. They also have a really unique goverment system, as it is almost more democratic rather than authoritative. In addition, they have the Imperial Army as their main troops, you have to take over the Empire to get stormtroopers.
In Thrawn's Revenge the faction that controls the Namadii Corridor would probably be the Imperial remnant although most of the Corridor isn't on the map the remnant do control Bilbingi which has one of the main hyperspace route into Dorin and in terms of lore the Corridor is controlled by the empire until the Thrawn campaign which doesn't happen until later in the game
The Pirate fleet did a ton of damage to your Dreadnaught cruiser because they had some Mere Cruisers, which are essentially the pirate/Hutt version of the Dreadnaught heavy cruiser, except it has medium turbolasers, which is what nearly killed your Dreadnaught. Also the Tagge Battlecruiser is more useful as long range ship, as it has many long range weapons and relies heavily on it's fairly powerful fighters and bombers.
commanders log: week ??? location: Devaron I've been on Devaron for so long that i have lost track of time. Cant say the same for the empire however. Empire has been on the move from what i heard from the prisoners. Empire will have this region surrounded in due time hopefully. For me, that sounds like good news even though my transmission has gone unnoticed for now. this prison is a powder keg from what I've seen. the pirates have been trying to scrap together a crew to keep this prison running, people believe that at this rate, the black sun just execute us but its hard for them to do cuz they need the resources to keep there fleet in orbit, that's just speculations however. I hope Jessica is doing okay she's my only sister in this war, last i remember from what the rumors say, her fleet has been causing hell for the waring factions. As for Sam, I'm only curious he hasn't die yet with honor, the empires army has been ruthless with there attacks on wars, causing damage to anything that doesn't brand the empires logo. I just hope that she's thinking about me why she's in that cockpit of hers. My cell has basically become my new home for the time. the simple SOS i have modify to send can only be sent every few rotations. Honestly, I feel like the empire only cares about progress in there eyes. who's to say they won't care about a single officer of empire who continuous asking for help. I sigh at the thought of that. As late night came, my pad beep. It don't just usually beeps like that. I pick it up and read it. It wrote, " you will be save, count on it". Only one person could have sent a message like that with this way, Korsica. :Log ended
Jedda only Partly got blown up. Granted, enough happened to basically turn some of the planetary core inside out through volcanoes and such. This was shown in comics later.
Shack, you should keep the small fleet at Yaga Minor and keep adding ships to it. This way you have defence against rebels in the far North. Once Ord Mantell is under your control, you can split the bigger fleet, sending some to Yaga Minor and the rest to attack the Hapes. You should be able to take the whole of the Northern map and still have a fighting force to push East and South.
Moff's Log #26. Greetings Commander, as it seems reports have come that Lord Vader has become MIA. His fighter is nowhere to be seen. That has left a power vacuum in the Empire. Thrawn, the Emperor, and a few of us Moffs are meeting on Coruscant later in the month to discuss promotions. I will do my best to bring you up and discuss the future of you in this empire. Until then, please deal with Scipio and Mygeeto. We must defend the shipyards and make sure the empire stays put together after the fall of Vader. We must be going now. My shuttle has appeared. Moff Pisces out.
Story Suggestion: After taking Ord Montell She’d gains his Tagge Battlecruiser. It was in one of the Docks and claims as, “To not Stress Imperial logistics.”
21:20 - I would like to see if this is a popular or unpopular opinion, but I would very much love to see The Old Republic (probably more Kotor, rather than MMO) as a conversion mod in EAW...or has this already been done? 🤔
Use on Ord Mantell the Demolition commandos to take out that hypervelocity gun. Not loosing Arc hammer too early send 4 commando groups at time, if that fail.
Field Agent Log: Maj. [ERROR: Unauthorized Clearance] Imperial Intelligence Agent “Harbinger” It’s certainly a change of pace, working under Admiral Star full time, but not an unwelcome one. After securing the orbit of Koensayr, he made plans to tighten the security in the region by stamping out a rebel force over Quellor. Much in the style of Admiral Star, his plan of attack was unorthodox, but extremely effective. The rebels set their battle line, assuming we’d charge in head first like any usual Imperial officer would do. Unfortunately for the rebels, Star is a very unusual Imperial Officer. He ordered the fleet to head straight through a nearby nebula to hit the relatively unguarded station behind it. The rebels never expected such a move. Unfortunately, the captain of one of the fleets ISDs decided to take some glory for himself. I guess he thought that with Vader out of the picture, he might be able to secure himself a better position in the whole bureaucracy that is the Imperial Naval Officers Corps. He charged the rebels lines alone, allowing for a hole to be opened up in our net. This mistaken jeopardized the safety of the fleet and as such, Star had me and my team along with a few techs from the Pulsar, Lana included, go over to the ship and remove the Captain from service. After having Kevel and Tash throw him in his own brig, along with any officers who tried to defend him, we quickly regained control of the warship and repositioned it to the rear of the formation. Speaking of The Pulsar, her new crewmembers seem to be settling in nicely. Moving from The Pulsar to The Darkstar I can definitely see the similarities with how Captain Anders and Admiral Star run their ships. Anders always did speak highly of Star. Agent Harbinger, signing off. [END OF LOG.]
(In the Darkstar's training room Star and Harbinger spar together. Star slowly drives Harbinger back with left and right hooks before Harbinger brings his leg up for a kick. Star blocks the move almost instantly and lays into Harbinger again, this time swinging up to his face. Harbinger's speed blocks both but Star's knee is quick to land the third hit in Harbinger's gut. As Star goes for another punch Harbinger ducks and slips around around Star, landing a punch to the side of Star's face. Star responds with a punch to Harbinger's chest before grabbing the agent and flipping him to the ground. Harbinger pulls Star's feet out from under him with his own as he throws himself back to his feet, resetting himself. Star stands and readies himself again. Harbinger goes on the attack, incorporating his Tanarithian moves this time. However Star springs into the attack with his left foot but Harbinger blocks it with one arm as the other goes for a punch. Star ducks and immediately counterattacks with two punches. One to Harbinger's stomach followed quickly by one to his chest. Harbinger retaliates with a swift strike to Star's face but Star takes the hit to respond with a hard kick to the side of Harbinger's torso and a hard right hook to his face. Star immediately presses his advantage. Blocking another strike, Star grabs Harbinger, pushing him back an inch and bringing his knee up into his stomach again before kicking at his leg. As Harbinger buckles from the hit, Star spin kicks Harbinger back a good few feet, landing on his back on the mat. Breathing heavy, Star smirks and walks over to him, extending a hand.) Star: "You're not the only one who knows Tanarithian moves agent. The Colonel was insistent I learn more after my capture and rescue from Nightswan."

Still though, I expected the shift in fighting style to surprise you too much, any usual Imperial would’ve been thrown off balance.” [Just a heads up, I may be a bit slower to respond for the next few hours. @@Zaeikil Star: "Any usual imperial, yes..." (Star turns and walks over to get a drink of water. Tossing Harbinger a can.) "Speaking of which, I wanted to talk with you about the leaked battle plan that led to Lord Vader's disappearence. I've had ISB agent Goodman running down the leads here among Death Squadron for who might be responsible. So far he's come up empty. Goodman believes this runs outside the fleet, I agree. The problem is that there's no shortage of suspects. One thing that stands out to me though is that the pirates specifically targeted the Devastator. No other ship suffered such focused fire or attention. That suggests that Vader himself was the target, not the fleet. Because of that the entire pirate force was obliterated, leaving no one alive to talk. Meaning that we're dealing with an imperial with a lot of money and influence that still supports the Empire. Someone smart enough and bold enough to go after Vader. This has occupied my thoughts ever since I took command of the fleet. If it can happen to Vader, it can happen to any one of us." (Star sighs and frowns.) "We can't fight this war while looking over our shoulders for an unseen upstart. Your thoughts agent Harbinger?" [Take your time. This is just Star being very suspicious of the situation he came into. There's no way he'd buy the excuse Shed gave in the intro. Also giving Star and Harbinger bonding time is always fun. After this i want to try and give the girls, Mari and Valencia screen time together somehow. If you got any ideas go for it.]
@@billygrantham5380 Harbinger: “I’ve had the same thought. Intelligence, or at least the Field Agents and especially The Director, who you’re already familiar with, have had our eye on a potential suspect. Someone who would seek to gain from this. One Commander Shed, apparently works for ISB and has plans for his empty little region of space. You know what else is interesting about this man? He’s the brother to Captain Shack. If that name sounds familiar, thats because Captain Shack was the CO of The Liberation, back when it still flew. A Rebellion vessel. Whether these two points are connected to Vaders disappearance, I can’t say. As far as looking over our shoulders, well, we shouldn’t have to. The petty squabbling and infighting that’s been rampant in the Empire for far too long needs to be snuffed out before it grows anymore like a cancer. Such infighting can and will lead to the collapse of everything we’ve strived to build, and is much too far beneath the standards that the Empire should hold itself to.”
@@Zaeikil (Star ponders over the thought as he puts his uniform back on.) Star: "It's a possibility. It would explain the tact and care given to the attack. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do in regards to this matter. There are many more operations that require our attention. Operations much more vital than tracking down the culprit." (Star straightens his uniform.) "I'm sure you will be pleased to note that the operation to snare the rebel fleet is proceeding on schedule. Rogue and Saber Squadrons have hit several decoy convoys in route to "Conqueror". The attack on the shipyard itself should happen in the next six months if imperial intelligence's predictions are accurate. Everything is prepared, I've even managed to recruit a brilliant engineer by the name of Kylah Karielle from Kuat. She and a batch of Kyber crystals I've acquired from Colonel Eiolig will sell the illusion to rebel spys that may slip into the project. I regret the loss of imperial personnel over this, but better that these fake convoys and shipyard take the hits rather than the real ones. A commander must spend the lives of his men like a shrewd merchant must spend his coin. It does not mean however, that he is uncaring. As a leader, it is acceptable to spend lives as necessary. To waste them however, isn't. When you lead, it's your responsibility, your duty, to not waste those lives." (Star looks at Harbinger, his gaze serious.) "Which is why we must ensure that the loss of the Devastator was lives SPENT, and not wasted."
Now that the 'Decimator' is destroyed maybe, just maybe, when Vader returns, Shack will start calling his new ship the 'Devastator.' It's been making me irrationally annoyed that he's been calling it the Decimator since forever.
First off, instead of pulling forces from yaga minor move your fleet from jedha since the sector is secure. 2nd and more importantly, you should raid ord mantell, it's the perfect target!!!!
501st Journal Week 133 -Orbit of Quellor Sgt. Kale "A new home" The 501st has been reassigned back to the Mid-Rim. After the hard fought battle for Naboo and the disappearance of Lord Vader, Admiral Star has requested that the 501st serve under his command. With Lord Vader's prior praise, and now subsequent loss, high command has approved his request. The Admiral must have some powerful allies if he has been given this much authority. With that, Triton squad now has a new home, the ISD Darkstar. There's a completely different atmosphere here than the Devastator had. The crew speak more freely, they work more efficiently, and they have a devotion to seeing the Empire improve. They want to be here not for their own personal gain but to serve the Empire. It's a very different feeling but not an unwelcome one. Even the ship's own ISB agent was exceptionally friendly and laid back. Almost unnervingly so. He seems like the kind of guy who could be anyone's friend. "Agent Goodman" he calls himself. I almost wish he was the standard cold, ruthless type. It wouldn't scare me as much. We got to see the Admiral's abilities first hand at Quellor. Wanting to reestablish security in the region of Koensayr, the Admiral drove off the rebels there with a show of force and immediately moved to track them down. Arriving at Quellor hot on their trail we found a network of defense stations and a small garrison force. Instead of hitting the defenses head on like the rebels expected, Star took the fleet through a nearby nebula, circumventing the defenses and breaking a hole in their line. Although as the battle turned in our favor one of the ISD captains sought to steal the glory of the battle by breaking formation and driving straight through the remaining rebels. The vainglorious captain had opened the door for rebel corvettes to strike at our carriers. Admiral Star, upset that his orders were not being obeyed, tasked his personal Defender squadron to guard the carriers and sent Agent Harbinger and his squad to remove the captain by force. Once in command, the agents had the now heavily damaged destroyer pull back. With the formation and carriers saved, the rebels cut their losses and fled. There's certainly been a change in Death Squadron. One I can't help but feel is going to ultimately be for the better.
Imp Rep 26 - Not much has happened. Shed seems to be bragging on things in the North, though, to be honest... given his reputation, it wouldn't be something to brag on. Most of his rank and placement as a Commodore has had more to do with his political loyalty than military competence. It was his brother that was the more competent military man, and the one who often had to shield his brother when his brother's military gambles often lead him into larger CIS traps than was otherwise expected. And while the capture of Illum and Jedha are helpful, one had no one on it and the other was largely defended by old ships that were top of the line a million years ago. So, taking those worlds doesn't say much. We'll have to wait and see on how the capture of Ord Mantell goes... And knowing Shed, that may mean that we will lose the Arc Hammer and will then lose the ability to gain Dark Troopers. Lord Vader's fleet has returned to the Core and was able to strike out at one of the Rebel worlds there. It did well and took out the defenses there, though the reports indicate that the ground forces for such a campaign are being gathered for the capture of that world. If successful, that will further protect the gains around Commenor and set up for a campaign against the Hapans and relieving pressure on General Veers' forces. We've received no updates on the whereabouts of Vader, himself. The Rebels did not appear to capture him at Naboo and if he escaped in his fighter, the transponder signal has yet to be detected. This could be troubling as the Dark Lord would be the only one who could handle most Rebel threats in a one to one fight... and make up for the gambling mistakes that we are sure Shed will engage in on his own. - Secretary Boss Mann, ISB
I'd love to see Shed send some Storm Commandoes/Dark Troopers(from the Arc Hammer) over to Ord Mantell to take out the hypervelocity gun then get outta there while the fleet moves in
How do Dark Troopers work in game? Do you build them from the Arc Hammer or do you need a specialised building? Do they come in phase variants? In a Space battle can they launch out like in the Mandalorian?
You should try an put Nebulon B2s in your fleets Nebulon B2s are a great picket ship against light ships and they have missile defense to defend against bombers and missile boats Nebulon B2s + Raider Corvettes (fighters tier III) for a fighter screener
Is anyone else worried about the location of the doom donut? Also send storm commando demo team to remove the hyper velocity gun platform on Ord Mantel
I think you should try using your fighters more as a reactive force to intercept small enemy starcraft when they finally decide to charge your capital ships. bring 1-2 screen ships and with the carrier providing healing and anti starfighter laser cover they'll last far longer. Also later on you can use raider corvettes to goad fighters into giving chase. ISD II and victory 1s can initiate combat at long range which eventually force the enemy to attack.
One of the characters I'd love to play in FFG's TTRPG is an alternate force user. In the Thrawn Ascenddancy novels they say that in their area of space it's very chaotic and that the normal navi-computers the rest of the galaxy uses don't work well out there. But the Chiss have a group of force sensitives that can forsee changes to the flight paths while traveling. So they see themselves crash then turn so they don't crash. Unfortunately the power fades with age so most of these Navigators are children and they have to continually test new children to replace the older ones as they age out. The Seeker-Navigator career tree works very well for it mechanically and you just need to buybinto the Forsee power to let it affect more mundane things
The Jedha map is absolutely perfect for artillery, and of course the one unit you didn’t bring in 😂 would have taken out the flak in no time. Otherwise a nice battle.
can't wait to get Vader back and have him back into the fray i know your not a big fan of super powerful hero units but i personally love OP heros reminds me of the good old days playing lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2 buying Gandalf for a MASSIVE amount of money and then getting him to level 10, ride him in to the middle of the enemy army, clik word of power and watch the enemy's entire army get blown away and not getting back up was SO satisfying
I'll say again: don't use the Arc Hammer in an offensive role! It's not sturdy enough to spearhead assaults, but is very gifted defensively against fighters. It's like a more valuable Tagge Battlecruiser in that it has lots of defensive anti-fighter capacity but isn't great against space stations or cruiser / capital level threats.
Super Capital, a few interceptor loadout carriers to defend against enemy fighters (because fighters will be what kills it after it takes Hyper Velocity hits) and a few Victory II ships to replace bombers, because you need the bombers to be Interceptors for extra point defense. Don't abandon Yaga Minor. It's the only deterrent you've got against those 3 worlds up there. Also, remember to build something on Bastion for extra defense now that you have the money.
At some point the Rebels can build a Jedi temple on Yavin 4, which lets them get multiple unique Jedi minor hero units that are different than the Jedi on Ilumn. The Rebels unlock it at either Tech 3, Tech 4, or after the Death Star battle, can't remember which.
Honestly? I wouldn’t use the Arc Hammer as a frontline unit at all. If you lose it you lose access to Deathtroopers. I usually just station it over one of my planets and leave it there
Stupid question, maybe someone knows .... but is there a reason why whole Black Sun fleets and ground troops pop up somewhere in my backyard, totally ignoring the fact that there's no route to be there? Happens all the time and while it's just annoying at the moment, i wonder if they could hit like .. Coruscant that way too?
Entry of Fear's Embrace Captain Tobias, Entry 3. Commander Shed, admiral Shed, whatever title he is claiming for himself now apparently has taken an interest in admiral sheb's campaign, and honestly I prefer admiral shebs. At least he's always incompetent and most captains can work around him. But with Shed he suddenly becomes competent before becoming highly incompetent, I have an idea of why he's like this, but I have hopes for the future that he doesn't lose the bellator to the obvious rebel, pirate, or black sun ambush, because that would end both of our careers. Jedha has long been reported to have suffered a 'mining accident', I don't believe it for a second of course nor does anyone else at this point. But it's not my place to speculate on what actually happened to the planet because I'm pretty sure the "Cleaners" are reading all these journal entries of mine after The Maw incident and also because I frankly just don't care what actually happened to Jedha. We apparently walked in as two rival pirate factions were fighting each other, some captives mentioned to the local ISB agent on board about some pirate leader Crinking other pirate leader's wife/husband, not quite sure on the gender or sexuality of the pirate leaders but regardless we utterly destroyed both pirate factions and quickly invaded and secured Jedha afterwards. As I write this, I became aware of my increasing age, I have more or less served since the clone wars and despite a very brief retirement on the mid levels of coruscant, my service hadn't gone unnoticed of course but my age prevents from doing a lot of things and despite Imperial high command being filled with geriatrics, If I get a promotion, it will probably be the last promotion I ever get before I die serving the Empire. When I was younger I had dreams of seeing the galaxy, the ENTIRE galaxy including the unknown regions, but as I age, and as more and more worlds are secured, I wonder if young me could have ever dreamt of being not only an officer of the navy, but a captain! perhaps i forgot, but no matter the case, I don't regret anything, except maybe being a gunnery captain for that long, really messed up my mind and my nightmares are STILL haunted by the Pattern. Long live the Empire, long live the Emperor!
That Inquisitor definitely took Ilum to gain favor with the Emperor to try and start to replace Vader

I love the empire in AOTR, the early game difficulty of being surrounded on all sides having to rebuild and reunite the core, into the later game snow ball of imperial might..... only for me to lose kuat to a rebel fleet with 157 Y-WINGS!! my campaign is going great......
Edit: so I found out the AI responds to what you are doing, because i was spamming stardestroyers and victory 2s they massed anti capital ship fighters, that also may be why the rebels are starting to spam quasars.
what else was in the fleet😂
@@cabbage712 from the screen shot i took before they attack kuat, 16 bulk carriers, 10 quasars, only 9 X-wings, captain shack and some other random rebel picket ships and some random hape ships
Yeah, the AI tends to build counters towards massed fleets. Had a planet garrisoned by golans and SDs with planetary turbolasers for good measure and got smacked by 3 Justices…and about 200+ fighters.
My most bulls**t moment was Yaga Minor being ground invaded by 17 Snow Speeders and the only reason I won is because I had 5 anti-air turrets, an anti-air walker, and a big Flak cannon (still lost the Flak cannon to then though)

It's okay they are just Ties. total trash and expendable unlike the fighters of the Empires enemies.
Sent them through the picket ships,
Dodanna got away.
I can't wait for Shed's personal apology to Lord Vader.
Ha! Just combine Vader and Ozzel in one fleet if you want to do away with Ozzel… at least it used to work that way.

He could do the Empire Strikes back thing and it replaces Ozzel with Piett

Nah, nah, nah. You don't understand that Shed had nooothing to do with that. He was on the other side of the galaxy when Vader's ship was destroyed.

It's rare that I don't find the heart to write a lot.

I think both Luke and Rahm Kota have the Jedi tag so they'd get Ilum's Health Bonus
Don’t worry about the hyper velocity cannon. It’s nothing like the imperial version, it will basically tickle you, but it has higher rate of fire.

Bellator Dreadnought "Megador"
Shed's positivity here has been through the roof. His main focus for now seems to be taking Ord Mantell to secure a Moff position. Honestly I couldn't care less about his position as long as he keeps Rebellions in check, something Tarkin was terrible at. Though the Plan for Ord Mantell has stalled due to the presence of Black Sun Shipyards and a hypervelocity gun, Admiral Rom Mohc did make an interesting approval with the (REDACTED) program
We arrived over (REDACTED).
I guess holding on to one is a good idea after all
My cousin meanwhile is moving south.
This didn't look good for their performance, nor with the inquisitor with here purge troopers being lost
After (REDACTED), we headed for Jedha, another Jedi ruined area.
Named "The Entrapment," it should help with more... decisive victories
I've heard of Vader's replacement though, Admiral Star on the ISD Darkstar. the 501st seem more lax than usual, not as efficient but definitely happier, once I get off Shed's back, I'll request to be sent south to meet him in person

Damn its been long time since I've seen a broadside cruiser in action
You should Raid it with Storm Commandos, not much on the ground, especially if you use quite a few of them and make snipers to support them too
Continuing the story in Thrawn's Revenge sounds so cool.
I love hearing about how other cultures use the force. We need a lot more exploration of those ideas on TV and movies.
The imperial remnant in the northern sector of the galaxy is the Pentastar alignment
Also nice video, SSD go brrrr
Yeah, I would do a raid with Storm Commandos to take out the Hypervelocity Gun... Once the gun is down, retreat and coming with the full force

For that next invading on land, have the Shock Troopers be with them for it!
In Thrawn's Revenge the faction that controls the Namadii Corridor would probably be the Imperial remnant although most of the Corridor isn't on the map the remnant do control Bilbingi which has one of the main hyperspace route into Dorin and in terms of lore the Corridor is controlled by the empire until the Thrawn campaign which doesn't happen until later in the game
ah yes the Bellator, the fears embrace, are we the good guys hanz?
The Pirate fleet did a ton of damage to your Dreadnaught cruiser because they had some Mere Cruisers, which are essentially the pirate/Hutt version of the Dreadnaught heavy cruiser, except it has medium turbolasers, which is what nearly killed your Dreadnaught. Also the Tagge Battlecruiser is more useful as long range ship, as it has many long range weapons and relies heavily on it's fairly powerful fighters and bombers.
See if you can do a raid of Ord Mantel first to take out the hyper-velocity cannon, then do the space battle.
commanders log:
week ???
location: Devaron
I've been on Devaron for so long that i have lost track of time.
Today: Ord Mantell.
Tomorrow: The Galaxy!
Finally, Shack is generating more mining guild sahareholder value
If you're able to train Storm Commandos you should raid Ord Mantell to destroy the Hypervelocity Cannon. Add any raiding heroes to help.
Field Agent Log:
Maj. [ERROR: Unauthorized Clearance]
Imperial Intelligence Agent “Harbinger”
It’s certainly a change of pace, working under Admiral Star full time, but not an unwelcome one.
Breathing heavy, Star smirks and walks over to him, extending a hand.)
Star: "You're not the only one who knows Tanarithian moves agent. The Colonel was insistent I learn more after my capture and rescue from Nightswan."
@@billygrantham5380 (Harbinger looks to Star, his body already having recovered from the blows. He takes Stars hand as the Admiral pulls him up, even if he didn’t need the help.)
Harbinger: “Well, you certainly are much better than someone who “knows the Tanarithian style”. Still though, I expected the shift in fighting style to surprise you too much, any usual Imperial would’ve been thrown off balance.”
[Just a heads up, I may be a bit slower to respond for the next few hours. I’m playing my first game of WH40k table top, the one with minis and am being taught as I go. Cadia Stands.]
@@Zaeikil Star: "Any usual imperial, yes..."
(Star turns and walks over to get a drink of water. Tossing Harbinger a can.)
"Speaking of which, I wanted to talk with you about the leaked battle plan that led to Lord Vader's disappearence.
If it can happen to Vader, it can happen to any one of us."
(Star sighs and frowns.)
"We can't fight this war while looking over our shoulders for an unseen upstart. Your thoughts agent Harbinger?"
[Take your time.
@@Zaeikil (Star ponders over the thought as he puts his uniform back on.)
Star: "It's a possibility. It would explain the tact and care given to the attack. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do in regards to this matter. There are many more operations that require our attention. Operations much more vital than tracking down the culprit."
(Star straightens his uniform.)
"I'm sure you will be pleased to note that the operation to snare the rebel fleet is proceeding on schedule.
When you lead, it's your responsibility, your duty, to not waste those lives."
(Star looks at Harbinger, his gaze serious.)
"Which is why we must ensure that the loss of the Devastator was lives SPENT, and not wasted."
25:00 There's always the option of using ISDs full of X-wings
Either way, it's going to be a blast to watch Shack playing X3 with the SW mod!
Have the Ark Hammer build Dark Trooper stealth units and do a raid on Ord Mantell to take out their hypervelocity gun.
Now that the 'Decimator' is destroyed maybe, just maybe, when Vader returns, Shack will start calling his new ship the 'Devastator.'
It's been making me irrationally annoyed that he's been calling it the Decimator since forever.
First off, instead of pulling forces from yaga minor move your fleet from jedha since the sector is secure.
2nd and more importantly, you should raid ord mantell, it's the perfect target!!!!
Put the arc hammer with a couple tector Star destroyers and a hero carrier for the fighter bonuses
I love the community campaign idea and can’t wait to see the video. Shack story telling and this community are fantastic I can’t wait
501st Journal
Week 133 -Orbit of Quellor
Sgt. Kale
"A new home"
The 501st has been reassigned back to the Mid-Rim.
In Corey's 1.4 fall of the republic campaign he has an arquinten called shaqeing up
Remember the emperor can remove corruption as well.
In thrawn’s revenge the north is controlled by the pentastar alignment.
@@AgentofLADONyou build them on whatever planet the arc hammer is on.
You should try an put Nebulon B2s in your fleets
Nebulon B2s are a great picket ship against light ships and they have missile defense to defend against bombers and missile boats
Nebulon B2s + Raider Corvettes (fighters tier III) for a fighter screener
Otherwise a nice battle.
how am i going to explain to my family that the best birthday present i got was some guy on the internet releasing a video for an old video game
Go all ham Bellator and the Arc Hammer with support carries :P
can't wait to get Vader back and have him back into the fray
i know your not a big fan of super powerful hero units
but i personally love OP heros
reminds me of the good old days playing lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2
buying Gandalf for a MASSIVE amount of money and then getting him to level 10, ride him in to the middle of the enemy army, clik word of power and watch the enemy's entire army get blown away and not getting back up was SO satisfying
Shack, Commenor still doesnt have a space station and you moved the fleet away from it; it leaves quat open to attack
It may be cheesy, but, I am prettyu sure if the Rebels sent 250,000 x-wings into a battle they would win.
I would fortify bastion, at least with a barracks
Shed’s ambition is starting to grow too bold. Losing Lord Vader is going to anger the powers that be. And when he returns, a reckoning will be due.
I usually just station it over one of my planets and leave it there
I miss being able to catch these live
Don't forget about the story mission when you take Ord Mantell
X4 Foundation Star wars would be an amazing way to create cinematic shots for your EaW playthroughs.
You should raid and destroy the hyper velocity canon before you commence the space attack over ord montell
Imagine a us carrier battlegroup now Imagine it time 200
Stupid question, maybe someone knows .... but is there a reason why whole Black Sun fleets and ground troops pop up somewhere in my backyard, totally ignoring the fact that there's no route to be there?
Shack get small craft level 2 or 3 i think. Then you could get the raider that you were talking about a few episodes ago
