I just made pillows the other day using rope cording and it's a nightmare to work with when joining the two ends together. This video is so helpful. I am definitely going to try your method. Thank you Natalie! You are very talented. I love your top :)
Oh my goodness! So glad to know piping can be done this way! Always love piping detail on pillows but when I don’t have enough for bias I leave it off. Thank you for proving it can be done!
I just love how you teach as well as build, sew, glue things together. I'm loving the content and most of all your humor 😂. Looking forward to seeing more
Your pillow turned awesome! I want to learn how to use a sewing machine....I have one, just have not learned how to use it yet! As always thank you for sharing! Stay safe, healthy and positive! GOD bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
I like you more and more! 🙂 Short cuts lets you have WAY more fun, as it keeps your enthusiasm going - good for you!!! I must tell you, aged 72, I have started using an electric drill - who knew?
I love your pillow. I love JoAnn’s remnant rack. I never go inside the store without looking at the remnant rack. I have been sewing over 50 years and I think breaking the rules Occasionally make you a better Seamstress, especially when it turns out beautiful. Ann from Va.
I can do that ! I always got lost when the directions said to " cut on the bias " and quickly gave up . Not any more ! Thank you ! Whst an Encourager of the thread you truely are . No waste . No muss . No fuss ❤
Love your creative journey and how you inspire others. Your talent encourages me to listen to my own creative soul. I am so thrilled you are feeling better and wish you more good health and creative endeavors. ❤
What a great hack, love how it turned out. I'm a sewer and ideas to cut time and frustration- I'm all over it. Thank you for your ideas along with tips and tricks to shorten work times. I've never made a pillow with piping but I know that when I do, I will be sure to use your tricks. Thanks for sharing!!
I did a complete makeover of an old vanity and a Very old rocking chair for my 8yr old daughter for Xmas 2020. First time I ever tackled this type of sewing project so I was pleased with the outcome but it would have turned out better if I'd seen this awesome video first;)
Great Tutorial! I love all the shortcuts and really dislike cutting bias pieces. I always try to avoid that. I am glad you showed how to do the piping. I have had issues with that. I see that in this older video your hair was parted on the opposite side. I knew you made a change. I really like the new look! All of your progects are so great and I love the variety. Blessings to you.
This is what I learned after years of sewing. Buy pre-made piping. I mean trim that has an edge that you can sew into the pillow. It has saved me a lot of time and money. Hobby Lobby and I am sure others have this on sale al, the time.
Perfect, I love it! I'm a bit obsessed with throw pillows. I've given some away and still have about 30 pillows left 😂. I purchased some of my fabric at Old Time Pottery, they sell some designer fabrics and have great sales. I'll have to give piping a try. Love your channel ☺️
I sew soft furnishings and enjoyed watching you break some rules! I usually cut the fabric on the bias and make the join less noticeable but you did a great job. And for the price! You won’t believe what people spend on custom pillows. Great video, Fabric has gotten so expensive!,, I love your channel,
I think that Pillow Project is Amazing. Sewing is (Very Intimidating) to me, and you made it seem accessible. I know it is not that easy but your video, makes me want to purchase a small sewing machine and take sewing lessons. Thank you for sharing your secrets.
We have a fabric store in Grand Rapids, MI called Fields. They have a section that have discounted material. Great finds.... Not sure they do mail-order but worth checking out.
I can't believe it but you taught me something on sewing! I never thought it would work to not do the pipng on the bias. Thank you so much and I cant wait to try it.
Natalee I live in the U.K. and we don’t get things as cheap as you guys get and don’t have as much choice either but I do try to do some of your hacks as I am a pensioner I do have to watch the pennies thank you sweetie xx
Oh I'm so glad I found this tutorial. I have fabric for a pillow and was hesitant to use piping. I know I can do it and will use your hints. I will also check good will for nice feather pillows. Love your smooth voice and your countenance! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous. I put in zippers because I like to change out my pillows regularly, seasonally, and storing a pillow cover takes up less space than storing a pillow. Regardless, I loved your video! Thanks.
I love your videos so much! I may need to get brave and do a pillow with the cording...it looks so nice! I've been very intimidated by that in the past but you made it look like maybe I could actually do it. Thank you for your amazing videos - you have mad skills and I love watching them! I'm all about the hacks and cheats too BTW. ;)
I really love all of your ideas and your instructions! I was wondering if you would share some ideas on how to recover patio cushions as mine are mismatched. Thank you so very much for all of your help! Valerie Clark
Hello again, I have bought throw pillows from thrift stores and Goodwill and such and then I bring them home put them inside a bed pillow case throw them in the washer just a little bit of soap tiny bit and a little drop of bleach to sanitize them and yes it takes a little bit longer to dry in the dryer but they come out smelling fresh as a daisy . that way I feel safe to use them...
I am a new subscriber. I just stumbled upon your channel. I love your content and the positive vibe of your personality. I wish I found you channel sooner.
As always love love love your video! However, that blouse! Omg! It reminds me of the mustard color one that is similar that you have worn as well. I would love to know where you found either or both of them! Pretty please! Thanks! 🙂
I agree down pillows look best, but I am super allergic to feathers. I've been using polyester fiber fill but they just don't look as good. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much! You should… Get one that has adjustable speed so you can slow down the speed of the machine as you are first learning.😃
Omg I’ve never done this kind of pillow because of the cutting on the bias! Now I know I can do it!
It’s okay to cheat a little. ☺️ Sometimes!
