- This was a bit of a difficult video to film but I wanted to try describe what dissociation is like for me.

I really appreciate you making this and opening up. its so helpful to hear someone explain what you cannot
It's amazing, I have never felt dissociated except when I consciously wanted to.
thank you for makeing this video :)
Lika a mystery in the universe you know is there but you can't solve/but its more of a feeling?...
Exactly. It feels like it has always been this way,
Sometimes (a lot of the time) I feel like I'm not awake when I am awake. Is this the same thing?
It could be. I would look up depersonalization and derealization and see if that fits your experiences.
I’m not saying I have anything like dissociation, but I do have an over active imagination (pretty sure I have the maladaptive day dreaming thing), and sometimes things become vivid and real enough emotionally and I get swept away. Sometimes I feel like I’m elsewhere or should be somewhere else, other times I feel like I’m just here to exist and barely get through life. All this tends to make me feel somewhat isolated.
I definitely have a lot of intense feelings towards my own inner world, or works of fiction. Perhaps it feels safer than trying to connect with "real" things . I'll admit that life often feels like something that has to be endured rather than enjoyed. I'm just surviving until I die. But I'm trying to change that.
