Skip saying steph always shrink on the playoffs. Wtf?? He had 1 bad finals series and 1 bad game in last years finals. He's been dominanting the west playoffs since 2015. Remember the game against the blazers and scored 40 points 17 in OT coming back from an injury everyone was in awe. Steph was ridiculous on those playoff run before kd joined even beat them. He has so many big game performances that will be remembered. Skips's just a hater most of the time.

I don't understand why there's still this narrative that Steph overall just underperforms in the playoffs because of the 2016 Finals when he's been 4 times. Literally no one talks about LeBron choking in 2011 finals, being locked up by JJ Barea and out played by Jason Terry anymore. Why? Because he's improved every year since then and the year before he was just fine the year and deserved Finals MVP. It's like people just don't give credit when the guy improves and act like he hasn't been clutch and leading the team at all. What KD does would not be possible if not for the gravity of Steph, his unselfishness, and overall leadership. Look at the team record when KD plays and Steph doesn't, he struggles. Why? Because Steph is the ancor of the team. Even when he's having a poor shooting night, the value that he has is still ridiculously underrated with his playmaking ability and offensive and team defender awareness.
He struggles? Kd just a averaged almost 50 ppg out of three games. The warriors kept losing because kerr is sitting kd for half of the fourth quarter and the other players are not scoring. Trying to make it look as though kd can score because of steph when kd has been the best scorer most of his career

I'm pretty sure I've heard KD say on a podcast (Gilbert Arena's to be specific) that he'd rather score 40 in the flow of the game than have to go out there and try hard to do it. Now you figure it out, which scenario is it easier for KD to do that in, the one where he's out there with the team and no Steph or when Steph is there (him playing good or bad is irrelevant because of the intangibles aforementioned)? I definitely didn't say that he struggled to score. He's one of the greatest scorers of all time. But what good is it to score when you don't win? It's okay, just accept the fact that KD isn't a leader. That's one of my my main points here. There's no way you're arguing with that since 1) KD said verbatim that he isn't a leader and 2) When Steph was out before along with that stretch specifically he was talking about how much he misses Steph out there because of what he does to spread the floor and how he makes everyone else's job easier. Their record with KD and no Steph doesn't lie, If he's the best player on the team let alone the best player in the world, I don't see why anyone would EXPECT or excuse the team barely being a .500 team when he actually had to go out there and have to legitimately lead everyone.

It would happen to Steph also without KD in the line-up. Both players gotta be healthy and playing at the same time in order for the Dubs to win it all. Both are equally important.

If you take a look at Curry's regular season stats versus his NBA Finals stats for the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 seasons, then you will see that all of his finals stats are, for the most part, lower than his regular season averages. For example, his points per game, field goal percentage, three point percentage, and sometimes even assists are lower during the finals than the regular season. The tier 1 players like KD or Lebron always have higher averages across the board for the NBA Finals than they would during the regular season. So the fact that Curry USUALLY puts up numbers below his season averages creates that narrative.
Then when you throw in the fact that opposing teams usual target him as the defensive weak link on the floor throughout the whole playoffs. For example, Houston set screens to get Curry on Harden or Paul for the whole series last year because he is the weakest defender on the floor. A lot of teams deploy that strategy.
Btw no way Lebron can lift the Lakers to a playoff spot even with MVP level performances. There’s only two ways: the team functions properly (defensively and teamwork) or Lebron going in Mamba and Mj mentality mode. There’s a difference between the three

Westbrook dont understand when a player is hot you have to keep feeding them. In one of those games the warriors went on a run with Westbrook on the bench. He got in the game and shot and missed two deep three pointers taking his own teams momentum away. That's why kd was going off on him on the bench. He's better at moving the ball now but he still want to take the clutch shots over pg.
