- Here are 10 neat things I've learned about my Fiesta ST, all were discovered accidentally. You might find some of these in your owners manual but I did read most of mine and don't remember seeing info about this stuff.

I've had my 2017 st for 6 months now and did not know the trunk floor had 2 heights... I constantly have packages in back for work that's actually going to make quite a difference for me. Great video
Well patience has paid off and I finally got my 2018 Fiesta ST that I ordered in February. The car has only 50 miles on it so far and I am learning all the subtle nuances that you find when you have a new car. I was a bit depressed however when I found I did not get a pen holder or user manual strap in my glove box. But in exchange, I have the backup camera :O And... I was very impressed to hear some BOV noise while shifting. Something I never heard on my 2009 GTi . Thank you for your videos. My first mod is basically a good tint and everything will be well thought out and planned. No need to jump the gun.... just learn the car and break it in nicely.

Why does Ford even make these small things if the dealership's never ever show them. It's like you have to magically discover them or never know they exist. Nice video man!
Chris Bombolevicz ... sometimes the discovery is the fun. I had Triumph motorcycles kept finding clever design details well into the second year of ownership ... it always brought a smile to my face.

I have a '17. It didn't come with the little glovebox strap or the pen holder. The good news is that earlier Fiestas came with them, and I was able to find those pieces for about 5 bucks at the junkyard. They're really useful.
The trunk floor is a very good advice which I had no idea about. When I bought my EU ST, it was in the lower position and I always disliked the exposed metal brackets because they can crack glass bottles or damage your cargo. Thank you :)
The US spec ST has such cool toys. I've got a '15 FiST but it still has the older SYNC system and none of the fancy gubbins in the boot. As for the hill start (or hill holder as you call it :P ) it's not really a secret feature. It's actually well advertised over here. You can enable/disable it in the vehicle settings.
That's not a pen holder per se, it's designed as a tire pressure gauge holder.
pro trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.

I have a 2019. No strap in glove box. No pen holder. No tabs in the back to hold cargo deck. I you lower the cargo deck it will not lay flat due to the spare tire. If you load the car with heavy stuff with the deck in the lower position it will probably damage the deck by forcing it between the spare tire in the middle and the front plastic pieces that are designed to hold it up higher. Anyway I still absolutely love the car.

Those little grocery hooks don't work so well for the big re-usable grocery bags I use, but if your bag has large enough handles you can loop them around the head rests and it is MUCH more secure :)
I just have two plastic bins in the back of mine, super cheap and stops all the grocery bags flying round as I don't like to take corners slow... Lol...

You can also get Apple Music on the FiST to! You just have to download some stuff from Ford and you can get your system updated with Apple music
Most newer cars have double pull to unlock. First pull unlocks the door, 2nd releases it.

My 2013 Fiesta SE had the strap and the pen holder, my 2017 ST didn’t have them ... until I ‘borrowed’ them out of the old car.
I don't even have this car but this lil secrets are so great.
Most of these were already in my 2008 Fiat Grande Punto Sport, but when I purchased my FiST I was glad it had those. In the case of the high beams, the Fiat had a feature where if you switch them on, they stay on for some time (1 time 15 s, 2 times 30 s, 3 times 1 min, 4 times, off) so they illuminate while you're getting out of the car. In the FiST I found something similar to the last feature where if you happen to enter the car from the trunk and you have the key fob, the trunk won't close. It will close for some seconds and it will reopen. I don't know if it's a safety feature if you get kidnapped or just to avoid closing the car and forgetting the keys inside
I believe those hooks in the back are for optional cargo net that locks in there but I guess you can also hang your groceries on them too
The headlights when the car is off, if you put them on they will stay on for about 20 seconds before automatically turning off. They will also stay on for the 20 seconds if you exit the car and lock it. This is so you can see what is in front of you and can walk safer at night.

There is a bag hook" the hatch too, though I've never used it.
Sadly (and strangely), several of these features doesn't exist in my European Fiesta ST, like the penholder and rubber band in the glove box.
I think the infotainment system isn't as advanced either.
Boston is extremely overlooked and underrated.

What is the little red strips around the dash?
Trim accents I added, I've since removed them because my car was starting to look like the Batmobile from the 60s. My "30 quick fun mods" video talks more about them.

And you can put your windows up or down with the key remote with engine off.. Plus if you double press the lock button you can't open the doors from the inside, I got my partner to sit in the car while I tried this out and even pressing the lock\unlock button on the dash wont unlock the doors either..
I'm still curious about the x-47 badge on your engine cover except you're using the stock Hot Side charge pipe.
Car had X47 when vid made, still does. Had stock hot side pipe when vid made. Got a killer deal on the Whoosh later, that's why I added it. Charge pipes are unnecessary with this level of power unless you want a meth port. The only reason I added it was because it was cheap and I was bored.

That's odd because my 2017 has the weather map too, but mine will not show me the 5 day and what not... is that a higher trim model?
Not sure, I don't think there are different trims, it's either you have NAV or you don't. Maybe they made a change in 2017 so yours is different, mine is a 2015.
There is a change in the new sync 3, I don't get the 5 day, but in a sync 2 system in a Ford flex in my family it does the 5 day
Just an update. I have the latest ford sync 3 and if you press the voice command and say 5 day forcast it brings it up. Or if your in the weather map, in the upper right corner it says "map" touch that and select either current weather or 5 day forcast.
2016+ has SYNC 3, 201-14 has the crappy My Ford Touch
I'm more surprised by the back doors. All Fiesta STs here (UK) are 3-door only.
What paint is that? The flecks in it are amazing!
Paint code is TUXEDO BLACK, very common on Fords in the last few years.

Hill Holder Clutch? pretty sure it Hill Start Assist and uses the brakes not the clutch
I believe you are correct.
Hill holder holds the breaker while the clutch is engaged .
Correct, this is also a feature you can turn on/off through your touchscreen
Didn’t know about 1 and 10. But I don’t have nav so I’m shit outta luck on 1.
In My fiesta st 2018 U.S. you do not need to press the accelerator when you are pulling out the clutch.
I wish you could roll down the windows with the key fob.
You actually can, and if not you have to activate it via forscan. just hold the unlock button and they will go down

It's a weird feature that you can get out of the car when it's locked ?! 😂 In Germany you can't lock someone in your car just with child lock but the front doors can't be locked from inside.
if you think about it, it makes complete sense. It allows the passengers to get out of the vehicle while also keeping intruders out. you can basically always have the doors locked.

Hill holder clutch and grocery clips hahaha I'm trying to figure out if you're being for real or not? Your hill holder clutch lol. Is called Hill Assist and those grocery bag clips are for a cargo net lol

I have that feature turned off as if your on a hill and its holding the brakes and the car in front of you starts to roll backwards you can't just roll back to avoid being hit... I'm too old school anyway I just hold the hand brake when doing hill starts like we were all taught how to back in the ford escort days...

Fuck sake man...USDM FiST has a way better Sync system! Colour touchscreen!! Ugh...mines an EUDM ST3 and I've got Nav, but it ain't this fancy
