I'm one of the crazy ones messing with a 2017 N. American 1.6 with soon to be reprogrammed TCM DPS6 DCT with LuK clutches. An SE, in Blue Candy Metal, with the Ford 5 star twin-spoke retro 1980's flavored bright silver metal flake forged rally wheels. I'm doing a smallish Eaton suoercharger. M24, maybe. Various bits like the front bumper cover, hood, rear spoiler, side mirrors, are being coated in Steel-It, in black,right from a spray bomb, after a good sanding. 😁

I love that Piano Black Finish. I don't think we got that here in North America. My 2018 is flat black with some little touches of silver.

Helpful video! I've just bought my new car, which is black 1.4 diesel Ford Fiesta and I'm picking it up on Saturday. I can't wait to drive it since my dad had to test drive due to me being under 25. But at least I'm paying for it as he put it on his credit card in case anything happens, my money is saved! It's MILES better than the Fusion!
I'm thinking of getting my licence next year so decided to narrow some good starter cars down and this video help move mire towards a fiesta. Cheers 😁

The glossy black interior trim Finnish is called a ""piano black Finnish ".
And it's a pain in the ass to keep clean. Turns out i just use a soft baby blanket style pajama top to dust it down. Works a treat.
Can i ask what head camera gear you are wearing? Also i love my Fiesta, so fun to drive and really economical for a 1.0 ltr. I think the Ecoboost being designed to take in more air than fuel helps with eco figures.

lol well done for mentioning the indicator noise. I've heard in some cars where its tinny and annoying. I do like the little things like the sound of the indicator. I'm thinking of getting a 3 door Fiesta as my first car. What size engine do you recommend? With/without eco boost? etc.

Hi mate, I just picked up a 2011 fiesta edge 1.2L and it's so good! Really recommend it. It's 3door too but it's lovely
@@yahya.m27Thanks for the info. I got my car in September, 5 door red 1.0 EcoBoost Fiesta. So far it's been great, but concerned about the wetbelt on it now.
If you want a better acceleration: turn of climate.
It's a 140hp motor but restricted to 100hp. So, get a chip tuning and you get a smooth 145 hp. Believe me, if done it.
That would make a huge difference. This isn’t actually my car but if I owned it then I would 100% do something like that
Bet modding would put the insurance up though, especially for me with 0 years no claims : (
@@gamesmaster1060 I didn't. Chip tuning is not traceable. Only on the dyno. Insurance will not investigate that when something happens.

Does the eco-boost still work? I see a lot of people saying the engine fails after a while.
Yes we’ve had no issures
Had mine for a few years now, still going strong.
cheap on fuel, i live in the outback and these things hold up well, dirt roads do not hurt it at all and i am hard on it, and that lsd is great. the stability control could kill you, i swerved to avoid a kangaroo and the car put all the power on the outside wheel to try to go straight, yea straight back into the the kangaroo. wish i could turn it off

Well the fiesta is probably cheaper on insurance and personally I have never driven a golf so I’m on the fence with that one
What mpg did you get driving sensibly
I think you get around 45-50 mpg
The four door backseat is not any better, I can’t get in and out of it
Hard to get out of the back with that sliding drivers seat.
Probably the only drawback about the 2 door

@@JoshBatesYT oh right sweet. Did you drive it long enough to try reversing as I heard they have issues sometimes with the reverse gear?
I’ve not heard anything about the reverse. All I do know is that every now and then when you start reversing it pops out of gear
@@lukerabbetts682 on mine, sometimes the reverse doesn’t wanna go in if you’re too quick. You just have to make sure you push it over far enough and in all the way and it’s normally fine. Some other cars have it too
@@lukerabbetts682 The reverse gear grinding issue? My 09 Fiesta does it and a few of my mates' 16/17 fiestas do the same thing if you don't select reverse properly then try to lift the clutch. I would guess its a common thing but once I got used to it I rarely ever cause mine to grind anymore.
I believe I read something saying its something to do with the reverse gear not having a "synchro mesh" or something like that, making it trickier to select than the forward gears.
Could you please tell me how tall you are exactly?
