Not at all like IL-2 GB replays, which work perfectly almost 100% of the time. They are fun, and if they do work for you, great! But don't count on them to see the actual events that happened every time, and don't panic thinking you did something wrong to cause their failure - it's not your fault.
This has rarely been my experience. Not that it has NEVER happened, but this is not a common experience of mine. If it were that bad, I would not have a UA-cam channel for pure frustration. Luckily, it's rare, and I've had very little problems making cinematics and tutorials from replays over the years. Since the recent improvements to replays, I've yet to have an issue. Maybe some day soon, but not yet.
I believe they have been fixed fairly recently, changing the method of recording from replaying player inputs to saving the location and rotation of objects through time instead now. I've not experienced any issues with track replays recently
