You poor, poor soul! As someone who just has returned to the world of living after a 3 days long attack of migraine, I feel for you! I hope you don't get them often, horrible, horrible thing, that make you fall out of life for days! I was particularly not impressed by all the fireworks going around here... Brrrrr....(shudders with disgust). We just had a storm here as well, and not finding your video on Friday, I firstly thought, that I must be wrong and it's not actually Friday, after consultation with the calendar and finding out that it indeed was Friday, I thought, maybe the storm that caught us made some damage in your neck of woods... And after that I caught migraine and, like I said, was totally out. And today, it was such a delight to see your video again! Fantastic stuff, I especially love all those "happy accidents ", that are happening in the shifts of colour in the fields! 👍 Lovely thing to see! Also, it appears, that if you ever get bored of posting videos, I am going to be in a big trouble, because I'm very much looking forward to Friday to see what are you up to this week. You were sorely missed that Friday, and I am sure, I am not alone in this. Thank you for all your videos! 🙂
Thank you so much Ellen- your lovely kind words mean the world to me! I hate to lose any time at all and to wake up and find that three days have slipped away is really disorientating! My last one this bad was eleven years ago and I really thought that I was better but I guess that the tendency is still there. I know what you mean about the fireworks! Especially not on the right day. I have never seen the point of them to be honest; all the poor animals for one thing and then anyone who is not feeling in tip top shape would find it torture. Here in Germany, we really only have them on New Year's Eve and most people are pretty respectful i am happy to say. Lol, it is nice to know that Friday was not the same without my video! I shall make it up this week I hope! I am so pleased that my content makes people happy. Stay well, dear Elllen and I hope that you too are a stranger to migraines in the future. Deb xx
Thank you so much! I am constantly fighting (a pretty much losing battle) to not be too tight and controlled with my sketching. Thrying to get it into my head that it is okay to leave some areas looser and more expressive. Trouble is, I love details! Deb xx
Hi Debbie! It's nice to see you back and recovered-migraines are just awful! I have to say before you started working on the foreground, all that white was quite pleasant! it felt like winter- not that we want to rush that! 😊
Thank you! Honestly, after 11 years, iI thought that I was finished with them! Actually I know exactly what you mean! There was a small beat there when I thought that it would work really well as a narrow strip panel. I love winter so perhaps it is worth doing again with some lovely snow on the ground....Deb xx
Thank you so much! It has been a bit changeable here and that would make a lot of sense. Honestly, it is so disorientating isn't it! I woke up on what I thought was Tuesday only to be told by my Husband and son that it was, in fact Thursday. Thursday afternoon too. Hellish. Fingers crossed that you don't have them too often. Deb xx
You have full sympathy on those nasty migraines! I deal with them too. So excited I joined your Patreon 😊 and a curious question.... do you seal your paintings in your sketchbooks? I see a slight shine, I think lol!
Thank you so much, that is incredibly kind. Yep, I think that the world would be a slightly better place if we never had them again. Dreadful things and I am sorry to hear that you have them too. Hopefully a long time in between episodes. I am so happy to have you as part of my growing community over on Patreon! Hmmm...interesting and a few people have mentioned the shine. I don't seal the paintings as a matter of course but the combination of materials that i use will have an effect. If I have used pastels or something similar, I will seal with hairspray but usually the burnishing effect of coloured pencils would do it- probably the acrylic paint too which doesn't always dry velvet matte either. I shall pay more attention to it and see if i can spot a pattern. Deb xx
I recently ruined a pretty painting I had made, which had lots of neocolor ii by fixing it with hairspray. The colors changed. Has this happened to you? Maybe I just put to much on it at once. With other mediums, I use it in my sketchbook and haven't had an issue.
There are many fixatives on the market that are specifically for art. Some of them are no more expensive than a big a big can of hairspray. Time to make the change…don’t risk ruining any of your art ❤
Oh no, I am sorry to hear that! Especially when the painting worked really well. I have never fixed Neocolor II so I cannot say. It might be the brand of hairspray too or maybe too much. Interesting to note though. I will do some samples and see what happens. Deb xx
This is so good, watched and enjoyed till the end ☺☺
Thank you so much my lovely! Deb xx
Beautiful scene. Love your techniques and colors. Stay well. Migraines are awful
Thank you so much! I am so pleased that you are enjoying the content. Migraines are hellish for sure. Could have done without this one! Deb xx

Take care. I have more migraines in the autumn, due to weather changes. It really does take time to recover from them.

True- it may be dependent on where you live though. Where I am, 'proper' fixative can be quite pricey. D xx
J adore vos videos ❤ mais dommage que dans celle ci il n y est pas de sous titre.
