      Unlike Trump and his political followers (Republicans) who say they are fighting for the people's best interests while robbing them behind their backs. "Yes! Please lower taxes for yourself and then eventually raise them on me! When you have more money you will give me more right? RIGHT???"

      But here is a question. Would Bernie Sanders also be on "Medicare"? Or will he continue to have top quality health care because he's so rich? What i'm cautious about is if he is trying to make everyone the same amount of poor, or if he is truly trying to bring people up.

      You better dig some facts before supporting him blindly. He is a hyprocrate and has link to corruption. In fact, He is more corrupt than Trump, and he is a lesser of two evil if you compare him with Hillary. Make sure to check his tax record too.

      Funny how we can actually check Sander's tax record, while not being able to check Trump, but somehow we are meant to believe that Trump is less corrupt than Sanders. You Russian trolls are going to need to step up your game, since the public is now aware of what you do.

    • @Lumby1

      It's really not very funny at all, rjh00, in so many ways. It saddens me that the shining America of WW2, and space, and knowledge and ideals, and wealth and justice, no longer seems 'Great' anymore. Small and petty and corrupt and dangerous, ruled by a tiny elite, just like in the 'bad old days', and a lot of people unable or unwilling to think of a better way.

    • @Arjay404
      @Arjay404 6 років тому +3

      Oops, I'm sorry, somehow my reply went to you instead of Abusayeed Haque, which replied saying that Sanders is more corrupt then Trump, than says to check Sander's tax records, something that we can actually do, unlike with Trump, which we can't.
      I wasn't trying to talk bad about you or your comment, was just being sarcastic towards the other guy. Everything you said is right and it really is sad what has happened to the USA. I was thinking of a reply to your initial comment, which was a bit funny but I didn't post it, but I will post it now. Bernie is from Vermont, which is almost Canada so making him a honorary Canadian wouldn't be too far off :P

      I hope you'll find a GP soon. No one should be without one. I am lucky to live in Toronto and has a GP as well as a walk-in clinic. Canada's healthcare does need major improvement.

      @RZ _ Canada is the second largest country in the World, if you live outside any city large or small. That's the price you pay for living in the boonies, I lived in Brampton and Midland Ontario for a year. Finding a Doctor can be time consuming if your looking for a specific doctor [Man or woman]. Doctor's by law can only take on so many patients, so making a few phone calls and finding Doctors who aren't accepting patients isn't a gauge of how many doctors we have in Canada. FYI_ Walk-in Clinics are everywhere and they take anyone that needs immediate care. You like anyone else should take time to find a Doctor that you feel comfortable with. I have a great doctor, and I actually found him while I was visiting a walk-in Clinic. Walk-in Clinic are way better equipped than some family practice office in some office building. Walk-ins do day surgery and have all the diagnostic equipment you'd need, which save spending hours in the hospital. I laugh at people who complain about spending hours at the hospital for diagnostic testing. If you set up an appointment with the Doctor, you might have to wait a week or two. But, you'll have an appointment and be seen promptly and end up spending no more than an hour at the Clinic. What do people expect going to the hospital without an appointment for a non-critical condition. I'm actually glad you had to wait 6-8hrs, what makes you so bloody special that you should just be able to cut in line for a quick diagnosis. JERKS!!!

      @@Torontogal1973 LOL! Shorter wait times would be better. And less automation. Things get lost when offices rely to heavily on computers and using "the team approach". I'm out $10 because my GP didn't renew my prescription properly. A small price to pay for usually free to me medical services, but still. . . Also, I had to threaten the Sleep Clinic I go to to get a new C-PAP with the involvement of the College of Physicians and Surgeons when its computer cancelled my appointment when I didn't get an e-mail with a form I had to fill out before the appointment. Why didn't I get the form? Because a human at the Sleep Clinic changed my e-mail address which she got from somewhere probably me or my husband! A little too much efficiency, guys!

    I am continually grateful to be Canadian. I know that our health system is overburdened and in need of major financial infusions, but we are still profoundly lucky to have what we have. Under this system every on is insured and includes dentistry, pharma care, vision care. Bernie Sanders, please look at the German Health Care system.

But you are right: we should look to other countries to see what we should be providing even if it means plugging a few holes in our tax laws and more enforcement of regulations so we have the money to do that..

      Joel, you are paying for it either way....the single-payer system is farrrr better than what the USA has. If you are an anti-taxer, then you will hate any sort of governance funded by taxes. then there is no changing your mind other than me pointing out that if you make an income it's a choice. and when you choose to make an income you are choosing to take advantages of the economic infrastructure that is funded by taxes. and if you don't want to pay your part of taxes back into keep that infrastructure funded, there is a word for that: Parasite. Don't be a parasite. Don't wanna pay taxes...Don't make a monetary income!

    Bernie's point about health insurance being independent of employment is a big deal. Today I got layed off -- the new corporate owners decided to cut staff in order to boost profits. Dealing with that is bad enough, but to know that even one day of not being covered risks financial ruin, the stress is a disaster. Imagine how bad it is for someone who wasn't able to save up as much for that "rainy day".

    We must each do our part and ask our friends and families to do the same. We can communicate to our reps and our, "reps," that Medicare for All is critical. Proven time and again, over time, to deliver the best care for the lowest cost. Our largest Nurses Association, along with 2,000+ doctors support this crucial change. The doctors state they can no longer deliver appropriate care and the administrative/billing costs of the current circumstance is ruining our healthcare.

    I think the German Health Care system is even better than the Canadian Health Care system because it includes Dental Care, Vision Care and Pharma Care. The German Health Care system consists of different Health Insurance Plans but all people in Germany are insured. So, Canada why don't you look at the German system? I was born in Germany and Bismarck created the first Health Care Plan of the World in 1893. Sanders should look into the Bismarck Health Care plan. The Bismarck Health Care plan was for the "blue collar workers" and which no other country had. So, don't talk about the British Health Care system because the first Health Care system was in Germany and created by Bismarck.

  • @siggizippan8076

    Bernie Sanders is wrong, the Health Care system started in 1893 in Germany under Bismark. He implemented a Health Care system for "blue collar workers" because they had no Health Care plan whatsoever. It was not Great Britain. After WW2, Germany expanded this particular Health Care plan to other people. Which means different Insurance Plans but still Government directed. All different Insurance Plans included Vision Care, Pharma Care and Dental Care. Germany has private health clinics but they have to comply according to the German law and their doctors have to accept anybody, no matter what Insurance Plan they are on. That is the law. Doctors can not switch from one Health Insurance plan to another and only accept certain patients from certain plans. This is considered illegal and would be considered being prosecuted by the German Government.

  • @siggizippan8076
    @siggizippan8076 4 роки тому

    And after 1945, the Health Care system changed in Germany to all the people of Germany and still includes now Vision Care, Pharma Care and Dental Care. So what Health Care Plan in the world include these plans? Not the British, not the Canadians and certainly not the US.

    I live in Germany but im English. When i need a Doctor, i go . At the worst, i may have to wait an hour to be seen but i always get seen and get the best Medical advice she can give me. She will refer me to a a Hospital or Specialist, if needed. It doesnt cost me anything, just need to show my Health Insurance card. Any young people who may read this and think , im fine, i dont need this, just wait till you get older. Everything you may have built up in your life could dissapear in seconds with an unexpected Health Bill!

      @Jenn smith "best system"
      There are annually 45 touhsand americans dying due to the lack of healthcare.
      America also spends double compared to other nations on healthcare per capita. This is due to it being ran by the free market. The purpose of a business is to make money. Americans are paying double price for terrible healthcare, where the insurance company finds some loophole ot get out of paying when you need it.
      The american healthcare is by no means the best. It is the best for the top 1%. For everyone else, it's really bad.

They are still dead last in health care worldwide .. $300-700 just to have a doctor appointment only .. $10,000 just to have a baby , and $40 extra if you want to hold your newborn baby .. $5000-7000 for a broken bone ... LOL ... THATS INSANE ...

    I would challenge that people don't know a good thing when they have it. Look at global political trends. That paints the picture. People are gullible and will listen to those who have money. Even to their own own demise. "Tax rich people less because when they have money they will give me some!" Haha. That's funny. "Shut down borders to immigration and trade! They are taking our jobs!" - ignoring the fact that those policies have made your country what it is - Germany being the #1 economy in Europe. - USA being the #1 economy in the world.

    Bernie bros need to realize that Yang is everything Bernie stands for and some. Not to be age-ist but Bernie would be 79 if elected. I love Bernie and all but Yang is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the US and the world. We need 21st century solutions and need to start thinking about the future.
    To add on to the age point. If Bernie was to be elected what are his chances of him running again in 2024 at the age of 83 to end his term at the age of 87 😦. And even if he did....do you want someone that old in the WH? The chances are slim which means it’ll provide an opening for Republicans to take the WH again.

    The US can learn alot from Canada, but there is an overwhelming dumb population of United Statesians who are VERY ignorant on Canada period. Make no wonder they are a "disgrace". But Bernie, Bernie iss alright, how Hillary beat him i will never know but how Trump got in, is still unbelievable.
    That thing should step down or be thrown out just for the conflict of interest he has with cutting his own Corp. taxes. I also respect and appreciate Bernies knowledge of Canada, it's history and close relations with the common-wealth.
    You are a good person at heart with real perspective and would be good for the US, especially in repairing the damage caused from the age of Trump around the world, with the common-wealth and within the US, with much respect. Bernie is one that seems to go by "do onto one as you would want one to do onto you" Bernie for Prime Minister!😂

    Each year in South Carolina we prepare for the snowbirds who come to South Carolina to vacation yet mostly for medical surgeries they are unable to receive in Canada because as they put it the long lines of 1 or more years to wait. You do not understand that 50 percent of their pay check is taxed just for the health care.

    Hi from Canada! Regarding socialized medicine...we pay a good chunk in taxes (42%) toward healthcare and we are barely handling it now. ie. long waits at Hospitals for emergency services, backlog of diagnostic services and delays of months to years for elective procedures.
    By 2030 we will be totally screwed! That's when the bulk of the baby boomer population gets really old and will continue to get really old until about 2050. This will put a HUGE burden on our healthcare system.

    Canada's population is no where close to the population in the United states the cost of single payer health care here would be trillions and with millions of people entering the country illegally not paying taxes but would use the health care system and then there is the corrupt government that would keep the high dollar insurance the taxpayers pay for

    What Mr. Sanders fails to grasp is in fact that waiting lists for some procedures are years long, numerous procedures aren't covered, and emergency room wait times can exceed 9 hours on a normal day! At least he realized how expensive prescription drugs are here.

      You have no clue what you are on about! Lower income people and families can check a box on their income taxes to get Medicate, which gives them some health coverage. If they don't tick that box, that is their problem and they have to pay a penalty if they want it after the income tax deadline has passed. Health insurance is provided by most companies for working people.
      There are always going to be people who would rather have something for nothing than pay for something better. What good is what people perceive as free (we pay for it with our insanely high taxes) if it honestly isn't worth having outside of a common cold!?!
