Also it is great to see hints being added back to the PNPT as one of the strengths of the TCM community is IMO you guys don't just say try harder but tell people where and how one can actually improve.
I think this a very good option for those students who lack the necessary soft skills and/or are just staring out. One other thing I would like to recommend to all is to consider learning Project Management as it it one of things we always look at when evaluating candidates. The PMP is not difficult, and you can become and associate if you lack the experience. You can also do the CompTIA Project+ and you will learn so much in the process and be able to manage resources, time, and budgets while seeings projects from beginning to end.

I just have one question: I would like to take your courses and get these certs, but will companies take these as seriously as certs from cisco or comptia?
We're not really competing with Cisco or CompTIA. However, companies such as McDonald's, Tenable, Security Scorecard, Citi Bank, Ally Bank, etc. have all had our certification on their job postings.
Focus on what they will ask you on an interview vice what they will see on a resume. Granted you need to make it to the interview, but once you're in...you can only let the name brands take you so far. - what you learn from PNPT/the self study that inherently comes from the course...will set you apart from the crowd.
What are your thoughts on taking this course for someone who is already in the IT field (break-fix/data center technician)? I want to transition into cybersec side of things I really like that you are adding coaching and a community for feedback, because I do not necessarily know where I stand.
Hi Heath, Thank you so much for this beautiful opportunity, Please does this apply to student outside US, I am currently living in Nigeria, I will be taking my PNPT exam by next month just refreshing on my personal methodology I am done with the course. I wanna know if I am able to upgrade my voucher to the PCRP.
@@TCMSecurityAcademy I understand! I spent 15 years in the Army as a guitarist. My focus now is perfecting my cyber craft. So less guitar for me too, but it feels even sweeter every time I do play.
I have both - PNPT is a way better experience both in terms of learning and retaining knowledge. However, the OSCP in has more credibility with HR and recruiters because they don't know much. OSCP is way more stressful due to the timeline. I also failed both the first time. I spent a week on osint alone the first PNPT exam...framework and methodology wasnt down and over thought it by 1904%. BL: It really depends which OSCP exam you get. My first exam that I failed - PNPT was harder. Second attempt, OSCP was harder.
