Thats great Darryn, its really encouraging to find people who say the have failed mostly its always guys who got the first attempte which can really frustrate someone, so really thank you very much
That’s an awesome review. I just took mine and I’m gonna be doing a review on this as well. Do you feel the CRTP was more difficult? Would love to get your feedback that should be next on my list.
Thanks for the video and congrats on passing. I failed my first attempt recently, embarrassingly i couldn't get past the OSINT phase. Heavily hesitant on taking my reattempt. The courses are awesome and make perfect sense, not being able to execute any of it was disheartening.
I failed this exam TWICE in the same location at the earliest stage of the exam. it really humbled me. Now i just passed OSCP my plan is to use this fuel to reall y turn it around this time
Hi Darryn, just wanted to ask that, were your exam questions for all the attempts the same? or did they change everytime you gave the exam? Also, great video. Looking forward to start this exam soon.
Hey, I got the same environment each time which really helped :) I believe they only have one set of exam machines! Good luck with the exam! Let us know how you get on!
Hey, I know they made a change to the academy recently but I believe if you buy the certification with training there are no subs or time limits! Best check with them as I purchased before the changes.
No time limit, your free to take it when ever so no need to rush. Take your time and sit it when your ready. You don’t need to book it in either, it’s all done via a portal so when your ready you can login and start the exam.
Do you recommend doing the PJPT exam before the PNPT Exam? I currently work at an MSP and am slowly moving into a Security Engineer role so i dont do daily pentests or anything but i do alot of SOC and EDR type situations.
You can do the PNPT a lot earlier than that if you have had any basic-intermediate cyber sec training in the past, if you've done your sec+ (or not... it doesn't really matter, as long as you understand that terminology it's being given to you) you can definitely already go for PNPT instead of the PJPT. This is just my take on it tho, do what you will with this :)
@s1ked_416 I recently passed Sec+ but I haven't landed a job just yet. I use tryhackme here and there. I know basic python, Linux, and sql. Would you recommend me the junior version, or just say keep studying, practicing. Then go for the regular exam?
I’ve not taken the PJPT but from what I hear is very good but for the PNPT everything you need is covered in the training so if you already have a base knowledge which is sounds like you do then you can probably go straight to the PNPT! Best of luck!!
The PJPT is basically the certificate exam you write after you complete the Practical Ethical Hacking course. It's okay if you want to get the certificate and get a hands-on experience on what the PNPT exam will look like. I'm currently taking the PEH course and I'm enjoying it albeit I'm a bit a slow.
Hi Darryn, Congrats and thanks for your insight. I have completed 3 GIAC certs and thinking of starting this. Is the training material good enough to pass or need to source more thing? Once again a shout out to big achievement 🎉🎉

You will do it mate, just recap your notes and try again, you got this 💪
Congrats Darryn !
Congratulations man!
im just started with the junior certification from tcm, gonna take 4,5 month of heavy study
Best of luck! You got this!

I’m sure you will smash it this time! Good luck
@@darrynbrownfield Question for both of you:
What one do you think is harder, OSCP or PNPT?
Very different mindsets for each but I think OSCP is harder though
Hi. Does the exam require some type of Buffer Overflow? Great video
Thank you! No buffer overflow in the exam
How did you buy the 3rd attempt? Did you pay for it full price again with the courses? I know they don’t sell just the exam voucher.
You can buy the exam separate after failing, atleast you could then it’s been a while so may have changed

@@darrynbrownfield Heyy! Thank you very much for your swift reply!
Does Heath do the debrief at the end?
My debrief wasn’t with Heath but another member or the TCM team. Very friendly and welcoming like all the TCM support team
Hi Darryn, Can I confirm, the cost is just the $399? You don't need to pay a sub for content? Any time limits on this all?

congratulations, I also want to take the exam at the end of the month, you have advice for me please😊
Just don’t over think it, check everything and take your time! Remember it’s not a CTF! Best of luck on the exam, let me know how you get on!
Silly question, but do I need a webcame for the debrief?
It’s not silly, yes you will need to be on video
Do we get to decide when to take the exam after purchasing?or it has a time limit?

Feel your pain ,got stuck in OSINt,part felt of giving up
The mental battle of doing a 5 day test is probably harder than the technical element! Just got to keep going, best of luck!
The internal is killing now , looking for that one outside the box thinking, this exams need to respected more than we though
So in ur third attempt u completed the exam in 90 minutes ?
Yeah it’s the same environment each time so aslong as you have good notes it’s very easy to pick up where you left off in the last attempt
