Only you can answer why you want to attempt it. For me it was to learn hacking and to prove to myself I could.

How long did it take you to prep for the exam and were the THM rooms helpful?
It took me about 4 months and the THM rooms were good for practice, but not essential.

There are supposedly 3 black-box penetration tests (1 to 3) but I don't know how to reach them. Anyone has any ideas?
Hi there! I looked into this and there were 3 machines in the previous ejpt course (v1). Now there is only the 2 in the exploitation section of the course. Play around on those, as you can exploit them in different ways, and you should have enough practice there.

I am not new to this kind of stuff so that is why I want to do them before I start but I as I said I cannot manage to find them
They've got them in that section. They're at the end and have about 5 or so videos that go through each of the machines.

Yep, it is. Like I said, focus on the method and not the exploits. Don't overthink it. You can do it.
