I suppose that depends whether you mean the ones made in house as originally advertised, the ones they farmed out, or the ones accidentally made in Mexico.
I picked up a black one of these in 2021 as a stop-gap for me chosing the right plate size, but the wrong PC. Now everyone is complaining that L210s are questionable. Oh well, still better than going without. I really like the basic features to the point where I returned a Ferro Concepts Slickster (cummerbund was giant on me) and bought a second WTF PC13 in multi-cam. In retrospect now that I like QD cummerbunds, I probably could have kept the slickster and bought a Defense Mechanism QD cummerbund. But not unhappy with my purchase by any means. The pros (cost/modularity) about this outweigh the cons. My cons are no velcro between the upper and lower parts. It would make a good spot for a velcro admin pouch, but there's not enough on the upper part to hold it in place. The other is the velcro on the shoulder strap are like knives in your neck. I bought FirstSpear should sleeves for both mine and that did the trick. I wish they made low profile shoulder covers like those in addition to the bulky padded ones. Thanks for the detailed video. Your video got name dropped in the last new letter that came out today.
Very detailed review, I really enjoyed it. I'm currently working on my review on this same vest here and came across with yours! I agree with you about the price tag and the inside of the dangler. Respect from Argentina
The only reason I chose the AC1 over this or ferro is bc the cummerbund is exposed in the back. Its kinda important to protect the very thing that holds your carrier together. That and I love what trex did with the different size elastic pouches in the cummerbund.
This is the only downside i found with my PC13, I have built mine up considerably with a structural bund and 6x8 side plates and its just fine, but I need to protect the rear because when taking off the carrier the side plates are heavy enough to overcome the velcro
It would be nice to see more complete 'budget' set ups for r/tacticalgear and the quality subreddit. I think people see the word 'budget' and assume it's not adequate.
@@EODFish I don't necessarily think it's your problem to solve but I think it's a natural tendency to want to mimic the 'SOF Goochi'. But I like when reviewers such as yourself honestly say what is worth the money and what is just slick instagram marketing.
@@EODFish actually the more I think about what video someone could do. Could be a set of videos/guides talking about certain things such as a belt set up. PC set up. Sustainment set up. Then they could walk into essentials, then what to upgrade first. Things to look for (a review/guide on stitching?). IDK might go too far into guides that you don't want to do when you are focused on straight gear review but just a fun tdg to think about how it could go.
I bought one just because it was 99 Got the l210 version. Not much else will fit in there so get what you need. I’m interested to see what the other pc that’s more has to offer. It’s kinda confusing
At least as good if not better for almost half the price.. imagine it. Love to know what the profit margin is on the AC.

Pretty sure WTF makes their stuff in house whereas T. Rex outsources their carriers. That's a big part of the price difference.

I love logging on and seeing this level of discussion added to the comments.

I love whiskey two four. Awesome people over there and they take of you. Also a great resource of you make your own gear.
I was on the verge of buying an AC1. Glad I found this review. Seems like a better option for $90 less
Hell yeah brother.

Working on a budget belt video but my inspiration is escaping me.

I'm amazed by how you have time and energy to be doing such high quality reviews and editing them down.
That’s the neat part, I don’t.
Hmm… need to update my plate carrier from the Marines!
Hey EOD, how would you compare the PC13 to a Ferro Slickster?
Functionally the same, Ferro gets a slight lead in aesthetics.
What are the dimensions of the dangler? Would it hold a soft armor panel?
There are a couple options on his site and they have the dimensions listed pretty well.
I bought one just because it was 99

He has only hinted but it looks incredible for the money.
Which size for a set of hoplite 26315?
Up to what size plates can this carrier take ?
They take the corresponding size ESAPI.
Is this gear from Ryan in AZ?
Yes, it is
Looks very small like its for a child 🤔
It fits a medium plate so what size it is makes no difference. You would make a great CSM.
Looks just as small as any slick pc lol.
@@EODFish Sick burn Fish.
Plot twist…. It is CSM.
