This scene is the reason why The Santa Clause 2 is one of my favorites out of the trilogy.

I think the first one is the best

Agreed. This film gets grouped with the third one as being worse than the original but the whole Scott/principal relationship and especially the party scene makes this film as good as the first one for me

@@joevictor53 Plus unlike 3, at least this movie has a reason to exist as it kinda completes the North Pole cycle of a Mrs Clause

Yeah I agree this film was far superior to the 3rd one. That movie was just unnecessary. The first one is still my very favorite for nostalgia reasons plus I think it was the most well done. I loved how it showed Scott becoming Santa made him a much better father to Charlie as well as a better person overall. The 2nd film definitely did a nice job tying in a Mrs. Claus and how Scott brought happiness and fun to the school through the spirit of Christmas.

The overwhelming chemistry Elizabeth and Tim share is what made the Santa Clause 2 the best film in the trilogy. The birth of the most iconic friendship in modern Hollywood.
You could tell the way Tim and Elizabeth looked at each other in this film that it wasn't just acting. There was pure love, admiration and respect in every scene but it looked as if there was authentic attraction there also. The way Elizabeth and Tim were with each other in their kiss scene wasn't just acting, there was real tension. You could tell that they shared strong feelings. Reality mixed with acting! With romantic lead actors, there is always a risk of real emotions coming into play.
In one of her interviews during the promotion of this film in 2002, Elizabeth talked about her relationship with Tim by describing him as "incredibly charming". You could tell that they had the best time together while filming this film.

My favorite clip of the movie. I actually had several of those toys. As well as the Mystery Date game from the first movie.
Lived the game hands down and toss across...mouse trap was fun and loved kerplunk. I've been trying to remember the name of the game where they are balancing plastic washer like things...like a tight rope walker..
Can't remember the name of it. And I also had an easy bake oven...even though the one in the movie was a Holly hobby oven.

I recognized all these toys, but there are some I don’t recall the names of. Does anyone have a list of everything they used?

    • @greeneyedredhead61
      @greeneyedredhead61 3 роки тому

I can tell you the names of some of them. Rock'em sock'em robots, toss across, hands down, mouse trap, kerplunk, and there was one game there that I remember playing but I cannot remember the name of. And that's the one where they were balancing something and each player would put a plastic washer like item on one side trying to make it so that another player would tip over. I can't seem to remember the name. The oven was a Holly hobbie oven even though I never had one it does say it in the movie the toy of an I had as a child was an easy bake oven. I was never allowed to have the rock'em sock'em robots because that was a boy's toy according to my dad. In the movie The Santa Claus the first movie The Santa Claus the game mystery Date that Scott Calvin's ex-wife wanted as a child was a game I had as a child.

@@greeneyedredhead61 Oh yeah, I know all those you listed, I'm in the same boat as U trying 2 recall the name of the 1 U also didn't know. ;)
My fave part was that 1 little lady getting the Holly Hobby oven, that was so cute - U could tell how much she had always wanted that - that was an item that every small girl back then wanted desperately, but from what I heard back then it was apparently both pricey & difficult 2 get due 2 demand. It was much cuter than the Betty Crocker Miniwave Oven because it was real cast iron & all dolled up like an actual old fashioned oven, even though I was a boy I still thought it was a cute idea (I'm an artist, & 2 this day I still think the original entire Holly Hobby concept was an excellent idea). ;)
If I was in that crowd, I would have hoped 4 probably "Shoot Out In Space", which I had really wanted at the time ;)
      "With the Holly Hobby o-ven, it's fun 4 U
      2 make tast-y pies...
      ...& a FROSTY CAKE, 2!" ;)

@@Long-HairedLuigi I used to have an easy bake oven. I enjoyed that. I also had the game called kerplunk. And that Topsy turvy balancing toy which I cannot remember the name of. I've watched the movie clip over and over trying to catch the name of it but I can't seem to find it. And I remember the toss across but I do not remember if I received one or not as a kid. I really like Hot Wheels even though I'm a girl and a baseball glove. I remember the rock'em sock'em robots but my dad wouldn't let me because that was a boy toy. Or maybe it was because it was you know fighting. I don't know the reason. I didn't play with Barbie's much but I did have one female Barbie and one boy Barbie which I guess is Ken. Now the only Barbies I have are collectibles. I also used to have a board game called masterpiece. I had totally forgotten about until a lady on one of the UA-cam channels I watch showed hers. That brought back such memories. And when I looked it up the price of those games are sky high I guess because they don't make them anymore so they're collectible. As much as I like the idea of having a game from my childhood my frugality would forbid me from spending $100 or whatever on a game. But something I also like to play with as a child was jacks. Do you remember those? You can still buy those real cheap.
