I was making a PB&J sandwich for a 3 yo. I had discovered my wife had a selection of different size round biscuit cutters. Thinking it would be fun - I cut a large circle out of the bread and served a round PB&J sandwich. The screams of outrage!!! "THATS NOT THE WAY MOMMIE DOES IT".
Rachel, the Dash egg cooker requires water poured around the silicone cups so your eggs steam. You can get the consistency of the Starbucks egg bites by adding a small amount of cottage cheese to the egg mixture. I love mine!
@@RachhLovesLife did you add the water like a water bath or by having water in one single of the silicone cups? Because it thought you only put the water in the one cup
This video may have been mostly fails, but as someone who does bulk buying and bulk freezing of various foods and leftovers, the dissolvable labels caught my attention a lot! Adding to my cart and plan to buy them in the future. Also, those pens would have been one of my favorite things as a kid. I had a blast with the markers as a kid that one side was a normal tip and the other side was a stamp. This would be the next best thing, even if they don't go in a straight line lol.
I love the idea of those labels! Makes storing leftovers in reusable containers so much better as opposed to plastic that you would write on and then throw out.
I'm a teacher and having a laminator is EVERYTHING lol. Even when I'm not doing stuff for the classroom I do little projects with my nieces and family and they love it. Even my boyfriend enjoys using it for his car projects and his handy man stuff. And that pencil case is very useful too! I bought 2 one black and one teal not from that exact seller but from amazon also. One I use for my makeup and it's been amazing what I can fit in it. The other one I fit my teacher stuff , pens, highlighters, erasers, whiteouts you name it. Definitely 2 things worth to have 😊
Absolutely agree! The pouches can be expensive but if you wait for Prime Day you can stock up for a reasonable price! Use my laminator at least twice a month!
Rachel, those are the kind of labels used for food safety in restaurants, and are awesome!! Also, we used to have markers that had individual stamp designs on each one, so instead of those pens, that's what we used. They were so fun!! 🥰
I have worked for years in restaurants and the stickers we had always left residues of old stickers and glue even when rubbing it or washing in the dishwasher, that was a bummer. I wish we had these
I am a teacher. I have a laminator. I’ve already used 200 sleeves so far this summer. 😬 They are awesome for awards. Also any pieces of writing they do. It makes students feel more official.
Even when you get many fails, that is still useful information for folks. Even when the product fails for you, it might be useful to someone whose situation is not quite like yours. Because of the detail with which you show the products you use, they might see it being useful for them. Even giving someone an indication about how steep the learning curve might be for a product is really useful, too. Your frustrations are as entertaining as your successes, and it's good to see someone giving these things a rigorous testing.
Those labels are conceptually the same as date dots (sometimes called day dots) that are used in restaurants and other food service settings. They’re used for expiration (this chicken needs to be used up or thrown out end of day Saturday, 8/20). They’re even color coded by day (Sunday is Black, Monday is blue) for quick glances and have the day written out, plus a space to write the date. There are lots of different styles and you can probably find them cheaper by searching using food service terminology. The colored labels do bleed somewhat if you get them partially wet, but I never had it not come out with water & a bit of soap.
I really liked that pencil case. The shape was nice for stacking or overall storage. Also having the dividers and different spaces for things. Definitely takes away some of the clutter that a pencil case usually has. Also easier to use because you can see everything you have instead of digging into a deeper one space pencil case
Well we are over half way through the school year here in Australia, but I still love the northern hemisphere's back to school vids, makes me want to buy more and claim it's a refresher for the rest of the year, lol
You need a cheese slicer, not a knife! Perfect thin slices, altough you might need to get the technique perfected if you're not used to it. Basically every household in the Nordic countries have one. I thought it was something everyone had, until I moved to the south of Europe and people didn't have it. One of my friends called mine "a cool gadget" and I just looked at them like "would you call a fork a cool gadget too?" Look at IKEA for cheese slicer, they have one called Hjälpreda for ~$5.
I get you, I have totally been tempted to buy a laminator every time I see them lately. I will say though, a cheap but less permanent alternative is those page protector sheets, the thin plastic sleeve you slide paper into that can go in a binder, TOTALLY work with dry erase markers. So if you can't go laminator or it's something you're going to change up more that it's not worth the full laminating, page protectors work GREAT.
Honestly this was such a fun video! Also, the pens reminded me of how neat it would be to see you try some products from Jetpens! They have loads of fun and cute pens/stationary related products. You might get a kick out of some like the mini vacuum for eraser dust, or the scissors made to cut your name and address from your mail, or the friction sensitive pens and stamps!
I loved the sandwich cutter for my twins when they were little. I used it almost daily. I made grilled cheese for them a lot then got into making pb&j. I didn’t just use it in the center of the sandwich though. I would press it a few times to ensure I got all the pieces of the sandwich.
I was already wondering. I'm from Germany and I have never seen cheese with several different colors in it. This looks like a mix of leftovers to me. Like the "ham" that is actually just glued together scrap pieces. 😅
While I cannot answer for the cheese she has, I've seen that kind of multicoloured cheese here in Sweden, labelled as cheddar from England, so it might not be that bad =)
I love this! I’m a teacher and I have my own laminator too! They’re a blast to have! Also…scissors disappear! I can’t count the times I’ve heard “I can’t find my scissors!” It’s a mystery!

Rachel, These disappearing labels are perfect for canning jars! We have to label them and reuse them. Also, Tupperware with left overs! I am super excited about those.
Another teacher here! I love office supplies and I love laminators. If the kiddos have a favorite coloring page you can laminate it and they can color and wash it off. Maybe workbook pages with math or handwriting some thing that they have to repeat. And you don’t have to use just whiteboard Markers. They could color with crayons and just use like a magic eraser to clean it off. You should experiment with different things there’s so much fun. You can also three hole punch them and put them in a binder for safekeeping and reuse. You are amazing!
Laminators are so handy! You can make your own games, preserve artwork, keep favorite recipes clean and handy, make inspirational cards for your mirror, create roadtrip bingo cards or a Flat Stanley. Oh, and protect song lyrics for rock star showers 😀

For anyone wanting to use a plastic whatever cutter for sandwiches, the trick is to cut it as far through as you can top down, then, without removing the cutter, flip it over and kinda press along the edge(s) of the cutter. Because bread is weird. Also, the big cookie cutters that are like plastic and fun shapes? Perfect for toddler/little kid sandwiches.
Also, life hack if your kids (or you) like eggs in a hole (or whatever you call it) it's pretty easily done in the oven (just make sure to butter/mayo both sides of the bread: top so it doesn't burn and gets nice and crunchy crisp and bottom so it doesn't let the egg spread as much as possible and a little crisp) We like to put the middle part on top as like a little "hat" but I also thought using them as like "crackers" or "mini toast" or whatever could be cute and fun for kids.
Ok Rachel, hear me out! Get a cheese slicer. It’s a very common to have them in Finland, Sweden etc. It makes slicing cheese to easy and you get the same thickness on every slice!
