New details on security breakdown at Trump assassination attempt during Pennsylvania rally

- We’re learning new information about the security breakdown that led to the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
NBC News is reporting the Secret Service did identify the rooftop shooter Thomas Crooks was on as a vulnerability spot days before the event. Secret Service Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the roof was local law enforcement’s jurisdiction.

I have a simple challenge for people.. Can you right now disavow all forms of violent political rhetoric as campaign speech? Can you swear you will only vote for politicians that talk about unity, a stronger America together and progressing into the future? Do you support Democracy and the American way or violence, intimidation and threats in US politics? Lets find out once and for all who supports America and who supports this new way of things. That way it will be very clear what party supports what and in their own words, or lack of.

thats the worst. The Secret Service trying to brush off the mistake as 'that was local law enforcements part'. No way, I just can't believe they would claim that. This should not be dropped. You can't just say' oh well' and pack up and leave secret service.

Secret Service MUST use local and state resourses. Usually areas are specifically assigned to different agencies so each knows their responsibilities. Your jump to a conclusion does not say nice things about you or your intellectual capabilities. Wait for more information before coming up with possibly false conclusions out of the thin air. Early info is often incomplete or wrong. It is tough to be patient, I get that. I also realize that this post will fall on deaf ears. Sad, you will likely never change or improve.
@@WilliamMurphy-uv9pm I can tell you that the local police went up the ladder to the rooftop, but retreated when the little weirdo pointed the gun at him. The SS had the kid in their sight for THREE MINUTES, but had to "get permission" to fire from Cheadle. She told them NOT to fire UNTIL Trump was fired upon FIRST. Had this been ANYONE else, such as Biden, Clinton, Obama, they would have eliminated the threat, no questions asked. There is absolutely something wrong with this picture! Call me unintelligent all you want, this will come out during the hearings....

Secret Service sounds like the FBI now. Blaming someone else when things go bad. In the end it’s the Secret Services job to protect the candidate. Wherever they go they utilize local law enforcement to assist but ultimately they are responsible. State and local law enforcement will shy away from helping them in the future if they play the FBI game and blame someone else.

What about the ladder wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that during a sweep of the ares that any security of any type spot a ladder in the vicinity of the area? Would that not raise suspicion ? I'm not any type of security what so ever and I would have thought it odd. If it was spotted it should have been duly noted & removed
