He says to not use references of people smiling/showing emotions, that is the most stupid thing I‘ve heard, he says that just because he hasn‘t practiced it enough to be good at! it is so so important to draw people expressing emotions for storytelling, awakening emotions of the viewers and learning anatomy! Face muscles are as much part of the facial anatomy as bone structure!
- Strong light/shadow lines - Resting face - no smile or distorted faces - Information is important (learn how to swim then how to swim in butterfly style) - No children/kid/baby - No smile or teeth - Pinterest/huaban.com/instagram (city.ports's followers) is good for beginner references - Start a Computer Reference forder with organized categories - Using references is very important to learn the structure of the face do not use your own imagination.
