If you are a rising senior, I strongly recommend using Danielle's essay editing service. She has been so kind and gives very helpful suggestions. Her services also aren't expensive. Other people I know make you pay $90, $120, or $60 for a single essay. The fact that she only charges 20 dollars is amazing and allows someone multiple read-throughs on one essay or the ability to revise multiple essays without paying too much. Hiii I hope you see this! I found you through the 500+ essay videos because I was asked to help a family friend's senior with their college application essay. I'm 3 years out of highschool, applied only to community college and have been inconsistent due to family concerns... and a lack of confidence. I almost didn't take the essay job, but it's boosted me up and I'm starting to seriously consider transferring. I've watched a few of your videos since for my own development and, during your readings in this video, the golden ticket idea came to me and I started trembling in disbelief!! Now I'm thinking, "wait a minute. I could really get in to the school of my dreams. Why didn't I ever try?!"

Woah!! I’m HOSA President too, it’s so cool to actually see someone else with the club because it’s certainly not as big as key club or interact which are in almost every high school. This gives me some hope!! I’m not sure if your active on UA-cam as this is the only video I’ve watched of yours so far, but if you are I’d love to hear some of the things that your HOSA chapter did!

I was wondering if you checked transfer essays. It’s essentially the same, but focused on why you want to transfer and your recent college experiences.
Is it allowed to use the same essay on multiple applications for scholarships or colleges? I was told by many teachers that there is such a thing as plagiarizing oneself.

Genuinely curious if you made up that first portion about juice box thing or if you actually remember being a 3 yr old with that much clarity and detail.
Genuinely remembered it. You can probably google what a juicy juice boxed looked like back then. I have lots of distinct visual memories from when I was 3. My theory is that memories are consolidated when you think back on things, but most people around age 3 don’t have much to think back on or not much reason to because there is mostly consistency in their life at that point. Since I moved to America, a lot of new things were happening, and there were a lot of old memories of SA to think back on as I was dealing with the adjustment to the new situation. The need to think back on home for solace was intensified by the fact that I initially couldn’t communicate with anyone in English, although I was quite verbal in Afrikaans already. I also remember that my brother was playing with dinosaurs in the same daycare and the lady let him keep one. I was jealous, but another lady gave me a little stuffed koala wearing a t-shirt holding a removable boomerang to make me feel better. I asked my parents about the koala to confirm and they also remember it.

@@birbl8156 wow this was so long ago... I did get into a few good colleges, ended up choosing my safety for many reasons and am academically really satisfied though social life could be better.
Do mind whether the university asked you what their expectations and your? both seemed to have differences? Stanford expects non traditional Latinized vs Duke is bureaucratic Roman secularism? Both choices are suck, imo, will leads to failures if you need supports and this is only what you have in life: your alma mater?

Hi, I am a 10th grade student from Poland. Our high school starts at 10th grade and is very challenging. This year I have 16 subjects to pass. We have grades from 1 to 6 and 6 is the best. Most of the time you have to win a competition to get 6. Last year I had the best GPA in my school: 5.67. This semester my GPA will be much lower propably like 4,4- 4,6, maybe even worse because I missed a month of school. I was playing in film ( I played in many films in my life and I want to continue It) and I had some problems at school. Now I have a problem only with advanced math ( this is the only one advanced subject I have this year, It's normal in Poland and almost everybody in school has a problem with math. My school is one of the best schools in city) and maybe one other subject. Propably I will have 2... My teacher told me that I shouldn't worry so much because I will be better next semester/year and It's normal on my situation, but I am afraid that It destroyes my chances for getting into Harvard or any Ivy.Next month I will find some extra activities, now I volunteer only.
I want to study science, especially biology and It's one of my passions. I think I have a chance to write SAT well If I improve my English. I want to take many activities and I can tell a lot about working on a film set and my passions, but I'm afraid that my grades won't be so good. Do I still have a chance for getting into Harvard ( or maybe some other Ivy)?

Yes! Everyone tries to write about somehing dramatic; you REALLY don’t have to and in fact it can be super refreshing to read something that’s not about a dramatic event, a life changing moment, or a passion. I would encourage it!

Pushing The Limits The essay should be more about you and you have developed as a person. So writing an essay mainly centered around family members and/or significant others is fairly risky. The point is for admissions to learn things about you and your experiences that they can’t see with the standard academic and extracurricular components.
