- After taking a break for a few years, we return to Tampa, FL for Gasparilla 2024. Gasparilla is the 3rd biggest parade in the United States and includes a huge pirate invasion by sea before kicking off a parade with over 300,000 spectators.

Right on! When I was kid, I rode in a fake f-16 fighter jet in full pilot gear on the air force float with my dad who was a Air Force Recruiter in New Orleans, Madi gras back in the early 80s throwing out beads and coins... that was crazy !

What a fun time Gasparilla is! I was laughing my ass off at how fast the parade was going... People literally running to keep up
The pacing was way off throughout the parade. Some floats seemed to take forever with gaps in between them and others flew by.

Good golly I was starting to wonder if there was anything besides law enforcement/fire in that parade lol.
There seemed to be a ton of law enforcement in the parade this year and not a lot of them stopping people from falling down drunk in the grass along the route.
Saw Jacob, The Carpetbagger's vlog and it didn't look like a good time for non drinkers. Was wondering why he only got one string of beads and one debloon. You both were better prepared.

It's tough to see both the boat invasion and the parade if you don't plan ahead.
