Truly one of the most beautiful and moving films I have ever seen. The slow awakening of the completely shut down Johnny is an incredible thing to experience. I recommend it to people all the time ... straight or gay.
I love the crossover mix of Brokeback Mountain and gods own country. Brokeback will alway have a special place in my heart but gods own with the happy ending tops it. Loved the video!!
Gods Own Country is a brilliant movie with a universal theme. No need to compare it to Call me by your name or Brokeback Mountain or destroy it with sentimental love songs.

there is no comparison. completely different premise. GOC is about awakening and acceptance and you may even forget the characters are gay. Its universal.
