High quality, very professionally made tour video of Norwegian Sun. I was debating whether to cancel my Norwegian Sun cruise reservation for the South Pacific Islands in May 2025. This video helped me decide to keep my reservation.
Ah, this is a ship I wanted to cruise on before the pandemic, but COVID cancelled my plans. She looks stunning, and seems such a perfect size. Great to see NCL taking such good care of their older ships!
I just got back from an 11 day cruise and the ship was beautiful. The dining left a lot to be desired, however. The food was disappointing to say the least and twice the mojitos on their drink menu were who knows what. So much food wasted in the dining room (lots of people left food to be tossed out) with tough steaks, forgotten items, unable to even get iced tea, and one outdoor breakfast buffet had no plates, no glasses, no cups, no milk, no bacon or eggs. They finally made some more bacon and eggs, but never refilled the milk. The indoor buffets were very small with identical items on both sides, so a very small selection. This was not what I expected after hearing about how wonderful NCL cruises were. I did not ask for any refund, but I would never sail on the Sun again and have warned my friends to choose another ship or another cruise line for their Alaskan trip.

Man, I can't wait to hit that salad bar. It's hard to keep such a variety of fresh ingredients on hand at home. I'm headed to Alaska on the Sun in October. Thanks for the preview of the ship! Right now I have an obstructed oceanview in a location I really like(deck 6) but I put in a low bid for a club balcony. It will be a heck of a deal if I get that club balcony but I think I'll be happy either way.
@@mryeetus6075 the boat is extremely small. Not much to do on the boat. The entertainment is lacking as well as the food. Overall not a very fun experience for my wife and i on our honeymoon. I will not be sailing with NCL again after this lack luster experience.
I'd love to see a tour of the MSC Seaside and Seaside Evo classes, nobody has really done a great one of either - and there are supposed to be major changes between the two despite technically being one class. I know you don't have a relationship with them yet but I'd still like it.
@@FraserAtSea I'll also be on Seaside next year, but MSC will also allow one free cruise change so I was considering some more itineraries and some are on the Evo enhancement of the class. I was curious what it felt like to lose the zip line and have one larger buffet instead of the two buffets found on Seaside.
You guys know so much about Sun. We are traveling in the spring NCL Sun suite 9076 aft. No one can tell me for sure if a 3 wheeled rental scooter from Scooteround in Seattle will fit into the cabin. The short hallway going in looks tight with a shelf. Will the scooter fit do you know. I have called asking around. B Ut no one knows for sure if the scooter will fit. Please help me if you can
Should mention length of ship and gross tons. I like smaller ships. Shops like this, DawnJewel , Gem and Pearl are the ships the over 55 age group likes. Better food , service. The huge ships to us are classless .
I literally just stepped off this boat from a 9 day cruise to Alaska. My wife and i are avid cruisers and that was by far the worst boat we have ever been on. Everything was absolutely terrible. This is not a vacation cruise this is a transport from each port you go to. I highly highly recommend staying far away from this ship. I am even worried about booking another Norwegian cruise just because of this boat. 0/10
@@bryawnp depends on where you are leaving from but we just sailed on the Royal Caribbean liberty of the seas. Amazing ship we were very happy with it!
I was planning to choose this but if you say its non worthyi think im gonna change my mind im on time just a question the itinerary isnt worth Esther ? cause is of nine days and the advantage over the 7 days like bliss or encorage but from Norweigan is that this one pass by skagway and a glaciar sailing day

20 years ago my wife and I brought our family on Norwegian Sun and we were married at Grand Cayman. The ship has lots of great memories for me too.

The Sun is my favorite little ship.The Owners Suite is my favorite room ever, except for the Garden Villa on the Dawn!

That's not just an older group thing. We're around 40 and we also choose smaller ships. Nothing over 2500 passengers.
