You bet! I grew up fishing the lake. It’s really a fun place. I’ve got many years experience on it. I’ll be making a few more videos over there this year. The crappie bite is about to get good. By the end of next month it should really start to turn on.
Anytime! I’m gonna try to head back out there this week and do another video. I LOVE fishing that lake during the late fall and winter. It’s a beautiful place. Very nice! Definitely give them a shot! They’ll work for you.
@@Richardnewsomeq hey bud! I’m actually recording my winter baits for lake Houston hopefully tomorrow night or Thursday and it will be up in my channel by the weekend. Running the lake can be tricky. Especially when the lake floods those dang sandbars tend to move. The west fork is definitely the most dangerous when navigating from the main lake to it. I don’t run over there anymore. I’ll go launch over there. Between Scott’s point, luces and the east fork you’ve got a few shallow areas and some isolated trees you gotta watch out for. I like the east and luces since it’s safer to run but the west has some dang good bass in it as well.
Thank you! It’s not the best area to catch them. I’ve only know of a few guys that’s caught them around there. Our best best in Texas is west of Galveston to get them. Now if we had clean, deeper pretty water we’d see more of them over here.
Perfect! Actually I’m hoping after the first of next year to have someone run the camera. I’m in the process of getting a Sony FX6. It’s an awesome camera that would make my channel look like a legit tv show. It’s a real expensive camera but well worth every penny.
Enjoying the Lake Houston videos! Please keep them coming.
Thank you! There is a 50/50 chance I’ll be back out there this week. Gonna try to fish over there Wednesday or Thursday
Enjoyed the Lake Houston video. 👍🏼
@@timc8913 thanks bud! I appreciate it. I was out there yesterday and I’ll have another video coming soon.
Another Great video bud… you ALWAYS find the fish!
Thanks Mike! Appreciate it.
Thanks for the Lake Houston vids. Trying to learn about freshwater areas to fish bass and crappie around the Houston area.

Thank you! That’s awesome! I grew up fishing it. I love this time of the year over there.
@@lanceduff I am interested in learning the West fork. But don't know where to launch my kayak
Any suggestions
I’ve always launched on the east side of the lake and ran over there by boat. I know there are a few boat ramps but I’m not sure the name of them.
God bless. Good stuff!
Thank you! God bless!
Thanks for the video I fish the same areas quite often but not the same techniques goin to have to give them a try

Any tips for December bass fishing? I will be fishing there later this month. Do you recommend east or west fork and any tips for running the lake?

@@lanceduff thanks for the tips! Can’t wait for the video. How are the Lilly pads on this lake do they tend to hold fish in the winter?
Just visiting here; I saw a guy catch 4 catfish in 30 min with fresh chicken liver !
Nice!!!!! Chicken liver is one of the best catfish baits out there. I’ve caught so many big catfish on them.
Great video. By the way, do you know if there are pompano at Sea Rim ?

All those lures in the cedar trees are my famous side arm cast.
😂😂😂😂 those trees have claimed a few of my lures too over the years.
Liked the video, was this luce bayou area?
Thanks bud. Yes it was.
Are those Magellan Jean's or some new fishing attire? LOL
Who is running the drone?
Hahah those are my FR jeans for work. They were the only ones I had clean 😂
I am
Hey lance where do you launch from?
My two favorite ramps on the lake is Pondarosa and the 1960 ramp. Both are nice
@@lanceduff thanks, about to give it a try.
Can I fish with you I live near lake Houston I’ve never been on a bass boat 😢
@@rizzo6783 possibly around the fall we may can make that happen.
@@lanceduffsounds nice man ! Got the perfect rods and tackle for it too , it’d be cool to be your camera man also lol
