This is right beside the rainbow bridge. It use to be called ancelets but not sure of the name now. It’s right off Rainbow LN. it’s really shallow but a good safe launch. It’s $5 to launch.

@@timothywalker8413 yes I am. It’s better bass fishing north of I-10. That’s where this one came from. The drought last year really hurt the bass in the marsh unfortunately.

@@lanceduff Wonder why you don't fish the jetties or ship channel much? It's saltier the further south you go in the lake (I'm sure you know). A buddy from high school caught a massive tarpon at the jetties (I think last month). No kidding. Legend now, Cody Goodman.

@@hamfishing oh yeah I know him. With the strong currents over there my boat can be difficult to load. That’s why I don’t go over there often. Couple years I’ll have a nice big 24’ fiberglass

@@lanceduff Love it!! I caught a decent 2.5# from the Sand Pit off Bigner this morning and an Old Timer saw it happen. He asked me what I was doing with it after I took my photo (posted on my YT) and he was gob-smacked I was releasing her. It gave me a good segue into WHY we should release bigger bass instead of keeping them. I hope my words got through. I try to educate everyone about the gold that is in having good genetics in a pond.

It gets pretty warm. I make sure I charge during the cool hours of the mornings when I can and always charge it in the shade

I ordered mine directly though power pole. If you’re gentle you might can get the existing ones off and clean them with brake cleaner but it’s easier and cheaper to replace them.

You definitely need to. It’s a blast! A lot of the times I’ll fish the north end of Sabine lake and black bayou. Every time I go out there I can typically fish anywhere I want to. There isn’t a whole lot of boat traffic which makes the fishing amazing! Hope to see you out there sometime. Thanks bud. I appreciate it.

Nice. I fish out of a 20’ aluminum boat. Sabine is perfect for it. I launch at cow bayou and run south. I’ll either fish black bayou or Sabine. Stay in the middle of cow bayou until you hit the river channel. When you do it’s pretty open just watch for floating logs and crab trap floats. The logs are only bad after heavy rains. On Sabine lake when you enter it there are a couple of oil wells to your left. There was a couple of post between them that are just under the surface. Avoid that area and you’ll be good to go. The lake itself is deep. And some of the shorelines are deep. I fish all of the marsh drains and bayous that dump in to the lake. The best time to fish them is on an outgoing tide.

Hopefully in two weeks. The hurricane has set me back a couple of weeks with work.

Thank you! We were pretty fortunate during this hurricane. It landed to the west of my house about 3 hours. A lot of folks over that way got pretty serious damage. It’s gonna be months of cleaning up and repairs but good lord willing no more hurricanes this year.
