- This video is on SPH modelling example in Abaqus/CAE 6.12 i.e. “Water Drop impacting on membrane plate”. SPH model can’t be built completely in Abaqus/CAE due to its limitation in handling SPH particle elements. This video shows you how to develop SPH simulation model with example, this uses two stage approach of Abaqus/CAE + Text Editor. Enables you to practice and reproduce the FE model on your own and leverage SPH skill and technique to various similar applications.
Abaqus acumen is my digital guru .
Thanks sir.
Hey bro can you help me with thermocycling in ABAQUS?
Thank you very much for uploading this awesome tutorial.
hello, thank you for your video, super helpfull. Am tying to using movable water jet to cool down the material deposited in wire arc addetive manufacturing on abaqus, may you please do a video to show us how to model a movable water jet that follows the path of the deposited beads ? thank you in advance
Thank you very much for this tutorial video. I noticed one little glitch, after doing everything just the way mentioned, I was getting the following error after job submission:
*density requires the use of *user material, *elastic, *eos, *hyperelastic, *anisotropic hyperelastic, *hyperfoam, *low density foam or *fabric
2527 elements are missing elastic property reference. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemMissingElasticPropRef.
Analysis Input File Processor exited with an error.
To get rid of the error I had to manually add the "Mechanical>Eos, Type:Us- Up, c0=1400000" property in the material properties for SPH_Mat using the CAE interface. Thanks again!
Excellent, you can add those properties manually by editing input deck as shown in Tutorial or through CAE interface. Hope you matched to the simulation shown in tutorial!!
hi i have done what you said but still the same error pops up
can u please help me solve it
thanks
Very good tutorial...but how can I estimate the smoothing length from the .inp as you modified?
Hi, such an awesome tutorial. I've followed each step and it works well. But do you know is it possible to add surface tension or particle-particle interaction force into the model? Thanks
Very good tutorial.
What kind of mass scaling needs to be applied to this problem? My simulation is taking forever to complete...
thank you for uploading this video .I have a question can we also find erosion due to water jet impact on plate
Hello, you are asking about erosion ? Did you find the solution
Thank so much
Hi!
Excellent tutorial. Thank you very much!
I just have a question. Why did you choose homogeneous shell instead of membrane shell when defining the section?
Can You Send Me The INP Because the image is not clear
Thank you
can you please share that notpad file..
in the SPH writing part.
could you please identify what the following numbers refers to?
*eos, type=USUP
1400.0e3, 0., 0.
Can we use general contact to define the Interaction? I have to define the surface friction for the substrate/membrane using interaction properties.

getting this error (2684 elements are missing elastic property reference. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemMissingElasticPropRef.
Job droplet3)
can we do this analysis by using hypermesh as preprocessor and abaqus solver.
+naragpt Sure, we will work on this requirement too.. stay tuned.. soon we will publish....
Thank you very much for this tutorial video.
But it does not give me the results as you. This was before I award notice.

could you tell me how
Sorry, I'm a little late, but I have a comment... IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL
