Like A Virgin backdrops; Madonna had a bad horse ride accident, breaking many bones. She was still in recovery when she did Hung Up video- notice she doesn’t use her right arm that much in the video. She is a pro equestrian and those backdrops relates to that and the accident. Great reactions to the Queen of Everything. Keep them coming

I remember I was in Vegas concert... and there is a young guy (14yo)right by my side before the show begin asking about who is Madonna. His father was gamble at the casino and he received a ticket to go to the concert (casinos do it a lot as a strategy to maintain parents spending money while their children are having fun in some concerts )... and he has no clue who is Madonna... Well... at the end of the show he was hypnotized and crying ... a big lesson on who is the Queen!!!

Attended to this show 8 times - first row. The show is so full of details that you canno appreciate all of them just by watching it once. The best show ever put together by a singer. None like her has ever been, is now, never will be

The year prior Madonna was riding and thrown from her horse and broke several bones. The xrays are from that accident. That accident lead to the entire equestrian themed opening act.
STUART PRICE has a lot to do with the AMAZING Confessions sound. He's a genius, also behind Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite album

I was at that venue a couple of nights after this was filmed. When that Disco ball opened you could physically feel the energy in the arena go nuts!

I saw this in Vegas at the MGM. I literally almost passed out several times.
Madonna was the reason for me to start fooling you coz I love to see people reacting her. Everyone get speechless and make me feel more and more proud of our queen!!! . Answering your question: She is certainly singing live here - otherwise she would not stop walking to sing it. She sings live most of the time on all the concert. Lots of effects all the time (especially echos and reverb) but singing live.

She sang most parts live in a studio and is lip syncing.
Sito if you had ever watched her live, you would have noticed that there have been times where she forgot the lyrics or made mistakes live. Of course, I can tell that she has lip synced on performances that required strong physical endurance from her side (like Girl Gone Wild on MDNA tour). But most of the part, she sings live with strong backup vocals and effects.
@@sito7186 not true... she even gets her lyrics wrong sometimes... she smiles and it affects her voice... etc... have you ever been to a Madonna concert just 1 meter from her? I have! She sings really live most of the time and there is a backtrack in some songs but not here. If she doesn't her performance is so good that should get her an Oscar as it fools everyone looking at her. I mean.. she gets lyrics wrong, laughts, apologises... and it's all fake recorded in a studio? I don't think so.
What I have heard/read about her live performances is that the first few nights and even the dress rehearsals they record her singing live, that way if she needs to lip sync then they have something that sounds live rather than studio. Also, people have said that she hardly ever sang the “I Feel Love” part of the opening number because it was too high for her to sing on a regular basis. Don’t forget she has been singing and performing for almost 25 years at this point. Every singer loses their voice and their power as they age, because if you constantly sing your voice is going to go eventually (i.e. Mariah Carey not being able to hit the whistle notes anymore). Unless you are a trained vocalist (as in musical/opera) you will lose your voice. Also, Madonna did not use a vocal coach/didn’t think she needed one until she filmed Evita, so who knows how “bad” she was singing (not in quality rather in skill and technicality). Almost every artist will lip sync at one time in their career. They could be sick, they could have no voice, they could have recorded a song that they can’t hit the notes on a regular basis.
Ryan Williams this is all true! She definitely pre-records life vocals, and almost any singer nowadays who tors does the same. Mariah Carey actually damaged her voice during her second world tour, where she refused to lip-synch anything, and saying almost every big hit she had up until then. It completely destroyed her voice, which already was damaged. So people pre-record a live vocal, flaws at all, just in case there’s an issue with the sound, just in case there’s an illness, as it’s a huge financial hit to have to cancel the show. Madonna went through that with the blonde ambition tour. It was a nightmare for her. And she probably sang too much on that tour when she shouldn’t have, because she was so ill. That can cause damage. She was probably lucky, and healed up afterwards. But had she had pre-recorded vocals for everything, she wouldn’t have had to risk it.

I've seen this concert twice. I was blown away. My second time I was very close to the stage and man Madonna looked gorgeous up close, her skin was porcelain like, I couldn't believe she was real. Her best tour right after Blond Ambition.
I couldn't see her in this tour, but I went to the Rebel Heart Tour, I was also very close to the heart-shapped B-stage and yet, almost 10 years later, her skin on stage blew my mind, she looks like a render!!!
I went to madame x tour Dec 2019, her skin is still porcelain guys!!!!! I got to hold her hand as she walked out and she’s tiny!!
I've been to 6 of her tours and this opening was by far the BEST!! As exciting as it is to watch on here, it does it zero justice. It was AMAZING

My late father was with me. He was very ill and we knew his days were numbered. He was an old guy at this point, but always wanted to see Madonna live.
And I took him.
He was amazed, as was I.
Having this tour filmed means i can relive those nights with my hero time and time again.
And your reaction and enthusiasm reminds me of how my father was throughout the concert.

She pays such great attention to detail. I saw this show live at Madison Square Garden and the crowd was so totally overwhelmed with her presence. I Feel Love was such a perfect addition and really energized the crowd. Her smile throughout these performances is so genuine. I love Get Together, the additional sound effects were perfect. And she’s the queen of the squat thrust. I really don’t know how she does it. The xrays were hers after a horse back riding accident. It was widely publicized so she used it in the show. Totally agree about the lower tones in her voice and I think you can tell she was singing live in Jump. I love your reaction Dereck ❤️
What the dancers do during the "Jump" performance is actually Parkour. And yes, there's also lots of that in the original video.

@@ShaneRG you cant have an opinion about the Madame X if you haven't seen it in real life... honestly it was one of the best shows I've attended in my life the production was just as amazing as a arena tour of hers but then in a theater and it felt so much more personal
That was her best tour, those were her mostly accomplished visual backgrounds. Her vocals were on top, the set list was amazing (Get Together is yet to date my favorite song from all her catalogue). I would pay any money if I had the chance to bring back 2006 and attend this tour: by the time I was 16 and lived in Latin America.

The Xray slides in Like A Virgin were her own xray when she broke her bones on her horse riding. The jumping guys are doing Parkour, a French Millitary Training on overcome obstacles. You will be more surprised and amazed continously when watching this concert. The floors are LED, the backdrop screens are LED too, the Disco Ball, and the lighting and effects are also millions of dollars spent. This concert has break the record of any artiste that held a concert and being recorded in Guinness World Record, she was the highest earning female performer in the year 2006 from this concert, yet she contribute and set up funds for Aids foundation, Malawi Children Foundation and building hospitals and schools in Malawi.
When I watch this tour, I started to listen all Madonna's allbums and now I love her!

The floor where she disappears at the end of Jump, has the walls of the lift lit just like the floor itself. So when the dancer does down, it looks like they've melted into the floor. Best version of Like A Virgin ever. Disco version. Looking forward to the rest of this tour!!

Jump was inspired by (and written as a nod to) the Pet Shop Boys' song West End Girls. This was 2006 and parkour was very popular - especially in Europe. So parkour was incorporated into the music video and this section on the live show. I can't overstate how amazing this show was to see live. It was incredible. Visually stunning.

I saw the Confessions Tour and it was MIND BLOWING. We had never seen a show so stunningly original and brilliant as this one. With the best entrance in the history of pop with that $4 million disco space ball.

I saw the CT at Wembley arena London where this was filmed (but a different date) so watching this show always brings it all back - a truly outstanding and stunning tour.
Saw the concert in 2005. Entrance still gives me goosebumps.

I flew to California with my best friend to see the concert. As everyone says, the into was EPIC. It brought my friend to tears. The audio at all Madonna concerts is so LOUD! 🙂. I think you’d really appreciate the beats, booming base and sounds that way. She does sing live for almost all of this concert with some backing tracks. This is the official filmed version from London and I do think the into vocals were cleaned up some but she sounded fantastic live - even better with some imperfections ❤️

And I 100% agree with you Get Together is my FAVOURITE performance of this tour, believe me that the more that you see the performance the more that you love that!! The backdrop it's amaizing too, finally someone that notice the beat and the "illusions" parts in the song!!!
To answer your question: Madonna is singing much of this live, with a few caveats. There is reverb on her voice and at time there is layering of her live vocal on top of recorded vocals she made for this show, which gives greater depth and consistency considering she fact she dances so much and the voice can quiver a bit when doing that.
I was in the crowd on a different date to this in Manchester (UK), and although her vocals were good, they weren’t quite as spot-on as on this recording from the show in London. Again, that slight variability suggests to me that the primary vocal is live.
For me, this is her peak as a live performer. She looked stunning in her late forties, she danced and sang really well, the dancers were the best she’s ever had, the production and staging was epic and the songs were great.
My favourite song from the Confessions album “Get Together” also featured prominently.
She is amazing! I appreciate how much you love her. She set the bar.
Too bad you didn't see this concert live because it was an experience. I remember the sound of the running horses in the beginning shook the arena and also the beats of Get Together vibrating the arena. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks for this reaction.

The best Madonna's Tour and the best show ever!
I was at 4 different venues The energy from the opening is on time at all the venues I attended . I feel love was felt by the audience as that Madonna could feel love from the audience. That connection created a bond from the start of the show. The video is almost exactly like the show. Yes there is editing but what you see is what you got. This concert flows so smoothly the entire performance. When she first steps foot on stage the audience is in aw as they see Madonna in person and for a lot of fans its over whelming saw a lot of tears of joy around me. Its like WOW. Reinvention Dereck. Another Amazing show!

The vocals are recorded for I Feel Love, if you get chance to watch the behind the scenes it shows a clip of her and the backing singers recording it. Totally gives me chills!!!! I saw this show at Wembley and that entrance from the disco ball was everything!

The X-ray images during the amazing Like a Virgin performance were her own x-rays from a recent injury when she fell off a horse doing equestrian. She had the balls to take that painful and famous incident and make it into art. Astounding creative genius, this woman.

I was at this show at Wembley Arena in London. It was filmed on Aug 16th 2006 her 48th birthday. Every bit of it is live. She really did hit those notes. The audience were going apeshit from the start ...we literally danced our arses off for two hours. My all time favourite gig for energy. The roof was tore off.
The best thing in this concert is the music. Sound system, effect. Everything is perfect. If I don’t say something wrong , the music is the work of Stuart price. Very good.

Once a dancer, always a dancer... She was trained as a pro dancer in 1970-80s NY. Must have been epic. As for Like a Virgin (which I like better this way), it already had syths in the original version, but these are on steroïds (!) and with a deep house base beat. Also, most interesting is how she turned the original major harmonies into minor tones. (works better with the lower voice she has now and gives the song a new persona. Love it.)
I saw that tour in Ct .. back then you didn’t know what was going to happen , amazing show , the opening is the best opening of any concert I’ve been to !! I don’t think she could have topped this ,,, Madonna is the Queen an people need to respect her body of work an the contribution she has given the industry !!

I remember being 11 years old and I die hard fan of Madonna I remember it was 2006 I was in jr high and hearing this album everyday on my iPod shuffle lol haha watched the tour on NBC they played it I so remember well here in LA. I really liked this reaction. Without a doubt one of the best concerts of Madonna! I hope to see the next parts of the show soon. Regarding radiographs on the back screens, shortly before touring Madonna had several fractures due to an accident riding a horse.
The equestrian look is my favourite Madonna aesthetic, so regal and somewhat mysterious
