This is THE MAN who made my EliteI PERFECT when I bought it way back when. Took me from U to B class in USPSA Production class in 9 months! Will NEVER leave me!
Amusing to hear the interviewer addressing Mr. Langdon as "Ernie." Ernest Langdon uses his given name Ernest. Have heard him say only people who don't know him call him Ernie.
Is BERETTA going to turn this into another limited edition run like the 90-TWO, Brigadier, etc.? I hope not. They make these great variants and then discontinue them for no reason. It's a very frustrating business practice.
I own both a Beretta and Sig P320. Let me say flatly, the US military has made a terrible, terrible mistake by "choosing" the P320 over the M9A3. It will be a mistake that will be sorely regretted.
Excellent. For those of us with smaller hands, we've been waiting for this for a long time. The grip size on the 92FS and M9 (up to this point) has been the reason I haven't been using my M92FS in competition. A couple of M9A3 questions: (1) When can we get it? (2) For those of us not so hot on the "sandbox" color scheme, will we be able to get it in the traditional M9 black? (3) Although I don't know I've heard anyone say this, I assume all M92/M9 15-round magazines will be interchangeable with the A3 17-round magazine. True? Otherwise the U.S. military wouldn't be interested.
A great pistol, but there needs to be a compact variant, ideally with the slide/barrel assembly moved rearward (so the slide does not extend forward of the frame) so the front of the frame can be used as an impact weapon without the barrel/slide assembly getting in the way and possibly suffering some damage when used in this manner. A service pistol needs to be compact so it can be discreetly concealed for covert duty use and off-duty concealed carry, which is why the US Navy SEALs adopted the Glock 19 in 2015 rather than the Glock 17. A half-inch or so off the height and length can make a big difference in concealability (the difference between these two Glocks).
Now, just need to get my hands on one the return to market 92G-SD. Also, any thought of offering the 92A1 or M9A1 in a G configuration, especially if you don't want a 92 with the Brigadier slide?
In 1992, Beretta came up with another variant called 92-96 Centurion. Full grip same as the Beretta 92FS/9mm and 96FS/.40 S&W. But the slide was much shorter slide and barrel. What happened to that design?
Jerry Wick They were discontinued, from what I heard. The 92 centurion lives on as the 92 compact L model, with updated features to make it more compact, while the 96 centurion disappeared completely. I think they had the same slide cracking issue as the regular 96's did...
There is no M9FS model, among designs developed for the US Armed Forces: only M9, M9A1 and M9A3. The 92FS is the commercial version of the M9, with different markings.
As a proud owner of two 92 series pistols, I gotta say, I love your 92 series products. I love the functionality of the M9A3, but the color is just not my taste. Will you guys eventually release this model in the traditional "Beretta Black"? If so, you might score another buyer, just saying.
+Velthyrael because the M9A2 was never a production gun. it was produced for the Marines, and rejected so to avoid any confusion they moved on to the M9A3
Just hang photos of all the different 92 models on the wall and then close your eyes and throw a dart , we’re ever it sticks buy that model. You can’t go wrong with any of them.
My Dream gun hope 2 live long nuff 2 own one! Thought may be a GI Beretta when hey switch 2 Sigs. Sadly law signed by klinton's says they must be stroyed so sad 2 think abt & sucha waste ;(!!
Ernie. Ernie? kinda gotta wonder if that was a little passive/aggressive jealousy/work competitors thing. surely another Beretta rep would know Ernest Langdon doesn't call himself Ernie.
And one more ... (4) 9mm and .40, but what about .357 Sig? It's not something I would want, but some law enforcement agencies (as well as some recreational shooters) like this round. And in the event the U.S. military switches to .357 Sig with the next generation of pistols (however unlikely it may be), the potential for backward compatibility might be a selling point.
He said we didn't want to confuse consumers hahahah then you probably shouldnt release 19 models of the same gun all with slight, mediocre differences.
Taurus actually designed their model after some of the first models that Beretta came out with. I’m not sure why Beretta ever stopped producing the frame mounted safety. Either way, Beretta sold a facility they had in Brazil to Taurus after they were done with a contract, all equipment included. Thus the Taurus PT92 was born. Beretta recently introduced the 92x Performance that has a frame mounted safety as well.
@@gravityman5529Frame mounted is nice but its fine either way, just like anything it's a matter of handling and using and it's really not a issue unless one goes full ocd right.
Too big for 9mm and definitely not a precison pistol because barrel can freely move too much at the muzzle. Just multiply this with factory ammo bad accuracy and you get... Well its military pistol meant to hit a person at maximum 7m distance. Most retarded thing on every gun is to put "read manual before use" on it...
I don't think you know what you are talking about or handled this platform or you wouldn't be making ignorant comments like this one. It's not that big of a handgun. 33 oz. 4.9in barrel. Accurate well past 50 yards. Low recoil and durable enough to pass the Military tests and carried by U.S. marines in combat and soldiers and police forces Worldwide.
@@MujoNovak I just did. Again. Still sounds like you are ignorant. The barrel is a fixed barrel with a locking block system, There is no movement at the muzzle. It is a tightly fitted slide, muzzle, barrel. The weapon is meant for more than 7 yards and is capable at 50 yards easily. The reminder of reading the owners manual is meant for folks like yourself. Exactly like yourself. Why do you still own a weapon you have trouble understanding or shoot past 7 yards?
I just don't know about the M9 and 92 flavors of handguns. I had to deal with Beretta when they switched the locking block to an investment cast design, and that destroyed every single pistol frame. Beretta had no idea how their pistols worked, and it took a lot to help teach Beretta about the fatal problem. The stupid open slide and slide-mounted safety makes the Berettas horrible handguns to operate with. Even the Beretta people don't know how to actuate the DA trigger. I am so glad the Berettas are being phased out. Good riddance.
Nothing like a former operator giving us his insight. Great review

I'm in the market for a Berreta M9,very happy I watched this!
Just bought an M9 last week, my first gun and will buy the A3 soon enough. Just plain gun guns to shoot and great pistols in general!
M9A3 in a nutshell: Everything you already loved about the M9 ... but with even better features! Love them!
Awesome. Those M9A3s are badass!
Amusing to hear the interviewer addressing Mr. Langdon as "Ernie." Ernest Langdon uses his given name Ernest. Have heard him say only people who don't know him call him Ernie.
Beretta answered my prayers! Will definitely be trading in my Glock 19 for the M9A3
You might want to guess again
Lmao! Troll!
+mrvaperz23 definitely will research some more on the sig

Got my M9 on my hip today! Great gun.
Friggin' love that A3.
M9 vs M9A3?

Really like the 92 - really like DA - SA.
I like how Langdon points out the idea of the CYA feature of double action..😅
Hey EL, that's the first time I see you wearing a different watch other than the round SUUNTO :)
Beretta, you guys should do a giveaway of an M9A3, in celebration of the launch of the gun before it hits to market. Just an idea.

That’s funny, I cringed at every Ernie he dropped. Ernest is a good sport though
Why not High profile sights with threaded barrel?

why are they skipping the a2 in the bid?
