Yeah, it really is a great kit - you get so many hop-up parts included that it is well worth the extra money over the standard kit. The upgraded suspension is the biggest advantage though. Cheers for the comment man. :-)
Hey Tibs! Hope you are well mate. Thanks for the kind word, bro - yes, I really can't wait to get building and running this one - hopefully on gravel! All the best dude! : )
Good evening and congratulation to this very great Kit Mark.It is very nice and interesting for me to see the differences between the standard TT02 and the S version in your video, instead of just reading it from the box.But now i have a Problem ...........i want to have one :-) I'm really looking forward to watching you build and I wish you a restful and nice Weekend .

Oh yes, if you like the TT02, the Type-S is definitely better in almost every way, I can't recommend it highly enough, definitely worth the extra money! :-)
Wow that's going to be some build Mark mate, you will do a fantastic Job as usual, thanks for showing as the differences in the kit😀Amazing video mate again, can't wait to see it finished 👍😍👍
Wow, thanks for the teaching me! I didn't know the difference, I figured there was, but now I know what it is. Also, you guys make one hell of team!!! You guys know your stuff!!👍👍
Thanks very much! I wasn't sure exactly what the differences were either, and a search on UA-cam didn't show a detailed unboxing, so I decided to make a detailed video for those who are interested. So that makes it even nicer that you found it informative! My friend Rob certainly knows his stuff! Cheers! : )
Quality unboxing Mark, my first Tamiya last year was a TT-02R and the suspension setup isn't as good as this one, I got mine from Hong Kong when all the UK distributors had run out inc shipping (didn't get stung on customs either lol) was about £100. Mine came with aluminium motor mount, prop shaft, high speed gear set etc but defo some really decent value upgrades in this one, they should do a ultimate TT-02X or similar that has the upgrades from the R & S kits, that would be awesome! :-)
Excellent comment, Ben! I certainly agree about that X version, now that would be worth getting. You got a good deal from Hong Kong, cheaper than my Type-S! I did look at the R version, I can get it from the UK for about £180 - but decided I preferred the XV01 type suspension on the S. I have ordered the alloy propshaft, maybe the motor mount later, but I'm on a tight budget so need to be penny-pinching! Thanks again, have a great evening! : )
Thanks very much, Jason! I am sure you won't be disappointed, I really love mine and it's very fast out-of-the-box! Much better and value for money than the standard kit :-)
Great video Mark. I am about to start a build of a TT02 Impreza WRX. This kit has so many options for hop ups. Will start by upgrading the steering and servo (part 54752) and suspension to CVA (part 54753) and see how it goes. Looks like a great car to upgrade as you go
Thanks Ian! Oh yes, the TT02 Subaru is a great kit to build. Seems like you got your eye on some essential upgrades - yeah, upgrading as you go is a good way to do it! Cheers! :)
Definitely good value for the money Mark, and Rob gets some bonus spares too. Win win all round. Thumbs up mate. Good to see you again. I was getting worried 👍☺
Hiya Derek! Yeah, really pleased with the kit. I have been at a loss as to what to do video-wise, as not much running with the recent weather and can only afford a couple of kits a year, so I really had to think hard about which Tamiya to get next. This should keep me going for quite a few videos, and then I'm thinking about maybe a GF01 after seeing yours! Thanks so much for the nice comment mate, hope you are feeling well my friend! : )
5 years late, but interesting to see the differences between this and the standard car. I've been looking at a few videos with the different variants as I figure that every collection should have a TT-02 as its been such a well used kit. Quite literally as I was watching I bought a Type SRX variant which just popped up on ebay for a bargain price. I'll squirrel it away though for the time being while other projects are ongoing!
Better late than never, Tony! These hopped up versions of the TT02 make a lot of sense, especially when it comes to value for money. This finished Type-S chassis is *SO* much better than the stock kit - it really is night and day! I see you came to the same conclusion - good choice there pal! 😎👊👍
I just bought this chassis !!! Im just waiting to see what all i get in the kit and than upgrade whats needed. Already have a alloy driveshaft on order.
Excellent choice, Thomas! If you have the alloy driveshaft coming, I don't think you need to change much more, it's full of hop-ups already - such a fantastic kit! Have fun! :)
Liking those shock towers Mark, looking forward to the build :-) I'll be reviewing my alloy TT02 over the next few weeks might try making a rally video like the master :-)
Cheers my mate Matt! Yeah, some nice parts in this kit - look forward to seeing your TT02! A rally video would be even better. Master??? Well I've bee called a master-something before! Thanks a lot dude! :D
Hi Ken - I think it's the best one to go for, for the price it's fantastic value for money. Lots of cool bodies to choose from too! All the best my friend! :-)
Yes! Another cool car project from the Midland boys Good choice choosing the TT-02 Type S ! I'm not sure this car is suitable for rally, but we'll see :) I have 3 of this type myself and i think it is far superior to the standard TT-02 The recommended hop up other than the aluminium parts are getting universals for the front as those pesky dogbones keep popping out when full turn
Thanks very much aviano! Nice words indeed my friend! Yes I am very glad I chose this kit - I have friends that recommend this car chassis for rally - but we will see - it will be fun to find out anyway! Thanks for the tips, much appreciated, nice to hear from someone that actually owns one (3!!!) of these chassis! I wish you a very happy weekend! :))
Have just finished building one of these myself it is pretty good value for that price. I had intended it to be a rally car - so I made a bit of a mistake there as it’s clearly more aimed at track racing. Dead keen to see how you get on!
Hi Dave - Thanks for leaving the comment, much appreciated. Yeah, I'm very happy with what comes in the box, as you say, I think it is intended for flat-track use, but I will have a go at increasing the ground clearance and softening the suspension. I already have some spare rally block tyres that will fit. If it doesn't work, nothing lost, I'll just have a cool road car! All the best from Mark : )
Mark Bryan RC this seems like a really useful link - www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/80686-modifications-and-settings-to-build-the-tamiya-tt-02-type-s-58600-or-tamiya-tt-02d-type-s-47301-as-a-rally-car/
Hi again Dave. Thank you so much for the link - I have had a good look at it and it is a massive help - especially regarding the altering of the bottom wishbones to give more ground clearance - looks like it will make a decent rally car after all - it was really nice of you to share this - thanks again!!! : )
"S" series come with the TRF suspension arms that give a better handling. (regular TT02 suspension arms are mucher shorter) the options required: front universal drive shaft (the dog bone comes with the kit are easily detached when running in deep cornering) and central metal drive shaft
Agreed, the Type S suspension arms are excellent. I have also fitted the central alloy propshaft but the stock front dogbones have stayed in place, luckily for me! 😎👍
@@MarkBryanRC i recalled why i change to front dog bones. coz my 02S is with direct direct front diff. The lock up of front diff giving a sharper cornering response and better speed. again, replace with dog bone if you get the lock front diff
Hi Mark and Rob, Great videos guys - please do more on the TT-02 series if you can. I do have one question regarding steering mounts- have you had to use any shims on the car? My Thanks in Advance
Hi there and many thanks for the comment. More TT-02 stuff coming soon. No, I didn't need to shim the steering, but I think I did add a couple of washers the the lower suspension pivot pins. All the best from Mark...
Love you builds few years after I'm catching up with TAMIYA´s. I'm building right now this same chassis but putting a Lancia Delta Tamiya body and rims. What I did find is that A arms on the type S are not quite compatible with the Lancia Rims as the rim inner spokes are locked with the A arm make it imposible to spin. I'm thinking on trimming those inner spokes. Keep those builds coming. Thanks again for your awesome and detailed videos!
Hi Max - thank you for the great comment. Good choice to fit the Lancia body and wheels. In fact, I had exactly the same issue with the white wheels I chose for my Type-S, those ribs on the inside fouled the bottom arms. I had to trim them off (well, trim a few mm off!) with a Dremel. No problems since then, and the wheels haven't broken. I think it will be fine to do the same to your wheels. Have fun - cheers! :)
@@MarkBryanRC thank you Mark! I guess I will and thinking using the dremel as well! I did 3d print spare rims for the lancia in order to have both rally and on-road tires and those 3d printed are exact march to tamiya’s lancia integrale design except for those spokes on the inside. They are on thingiverse if you like to check them out. Thanks again Mark!
Haha, yeah, 4 years vintage! It was a good year, matey! 🤣 As for the kit, it's worth it to get XV01 suspension on a TT02!!! The rest of the hop-ups are all a bonus. I kid you not, this kit is a Tamiya sleeper! I reckon the hop-ups are worth over £200...
Fantastic video Mark! Great job! Hahahah ... i call them wishbones ... :D So it looks like it's a tt-02 with cva shocks, bearings, beefer/reinforced and upgraded suspension where some are from the XV-01. I'm not sure anymore but when you use the longer rod ends on the shocks you get longer shocks than 55mm :) Keep up the great work! 👍
Cheers Charlie! Hehe - glad it's not just me and Rob that call them wishbones! Yeah, I chose this one because it comes with the hop-ups I would have bought anyway, but is much more cost effective. Really like the XV suspension bits, hope it's gonna perform well - we will soon see! I might put those longer shock ends on, should give 3-5mm more ground clearance. Have a great weekend my friend! : )
@@MarkBryanRC looking forward to the build and the body you'll put on. I recently purchased my third XV-01. The Subaru Arai because it was only 179 EUR. I call the suspension arms wishbone and a-arms but I do mostly write a-arms because it's shorter 😂 Have a fantastic weekend too my friend 👍
Nice you get foam so far none of my Tamiya kits have had foam looks like a great kit good unboxing mark i vote rally car at least it comes with oil shocks nice upgrades all the metal parts are nice what body are you going with👍👍💣💣😁😁
Thanks for the great comment, Bent. Yeah, the foams were a nice bonus when I opened the box! As were many of the other hop-ups that were not in the listing. Body choice video coming soon bro - it's a nice one! :))
Hi Mark! Great with a new Mark Bryan project! Looks like a very good option, yes! So, will the longer a-arms limit your choice to wide bodies? Very good commentary and enjoyed the vid as always and looking forward following the project.
Many thanks Mikael. Yes, it was about time I got a new project - something to work on until Spring comes! The kit does include some very good hop-ups, well worth the extra money over the standard TT02. The longer a-arms don't actually make the car wider than standard (190mm), the XV01 set up is much narrower and compact in the wheel carriers and wheel hexes, all adding up to less unsprung weight, which is also a good performance advantage. Thanks for the watch and support, you know it is really appreciated my friend. :-)
Mark Bryan RC Ahh, that makes a lot of sense now when you explain it, making the arm longer and the wheel mounting area more compact. And yes, always enjoy your videos ☺️
Hi! great video! How about the quality of the tt02 chassis? I am between this chassis and the kyosho fazer mk2..because both have 2 differentials, but I don't know which one will have more resistance and longevity, which of the 2 will resist, more speed, without damaging, differentials, gears, arrows ... greetings and a strong hug!
Thanks, Mickey! Well, I am happy with the quality of the TT02 Type-S - I have used it many, many times and it is still going strong. I have no experience of the Fazer Mk2, sorry but I can not give advice on that. But I can highly recommend the Type-S due to it's great performance and durability in all my tests! Best regards from Mark... :-)
Mark, the TT-02S is quite a nice bit of Kit!!! Definitely a BARGAIN!!!! 😎👍👍 I noticed the differences straightaway. The Suspension is FAR improved. I hope you can still get enough travel with the modified setup for Rallying. I may have told you, but due to budget (none), my TT-02 was built over 7 months, Piecemeal. Though because of that, I ended up building a bit better! The Chassis is Blue Fiber Reinforced, most of the Suspension is FRP as well. Shocks are Boom Racing... among other things. BUT, this Suspension is just Better! I hope it's able to have extra extension... But it looks MUCH stiffer than box Stock! I look forward to seeing how you like it. Carmine 🚂🚙
Cheers my mate! Yeah, this was a great buy - I have to be careful when choosing a kit, it will be the last one for a while, so I am really happy with it. We will have fun seeing how it runs - thanks for the good wishes my friend. Those springs are barrel(ish!!!) :D
It was actually a GOOD price for all that! If I added up all the separate Parts I had to buy to make my TT-02... I THINK it would be close to *$300!!!* But I don't want to know...... And I STILL don't have a Body yet! My Automotive background has a hard time figuring out Barrel Springs. They've NEVER been on a real Car (not EVEN French!!!!), yet they have the properties of a stiff AND soft Spring. They work great on my CC-01! I sincerely hope that you are doing OK! Last kit for awhile?? 😱
Hi Carmine! Yeah, if I added up the cost of the hop-ups you get in this kit, it would be well over £150! Barrel springs seem to have a lot going for them - I'll look at them for my CC01 too! Yeah, all is OK here mate, but it will be a while before I can afford another Tamiya, hopefully I can scrape some cash together by doing some odd-jobs in my spare time! Not complaining, I chose to do a low-paid job, but a rewarding one! All the best bro! : )
I understand... Sometimes, doing something that doesn't shorten your life with stress is better than money 💰!!! As long as you can stay afloat, it's good. Be thankful that Tamiya hasn't raised their prices as much as HERE. I have to wait till that Inheritance, to buy another Tamiya.... Provided I can OUTLIVE him!!!! (He will be 100 in May!!!)
Hi Richard. Yes you can - I show how to do just that in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6kWMvdDhoiM/v-deo.html I made mine into a very capable rally car. Check out my run videos!
Hi Peter - no, this kit doesn't come with metal diff gears. To be honest, the diff is strong and doesn't need metal gears, if anything, it's the bevel gears on the end of the propshaft that will slip on the diff ring gears. I haven't looked into getting metal diffs as I haven't had a problem with the stock parts on any of my TT-02 cars.
Hi Peter, glad you enjoyed it. Ah, the box is very small and I wasn't sure if a car would fit, so I just tried it for you. Answer: Chassis only - yes With Audi Quattro body - not with the spotlights fitted With Nissan R33 body - No With Subaru 1999 WRC body - just about! Hope this helps, if it's a smaller body you have it just might go in!
Hello! Yes, well they are a lot stronger, I think there is some sort of carbon fibre reinforcement used in the Type-S suspension plastics, they are very tough and I've had no breakages after many hard runs and crashes! :)
Nice video! What is the difference between this and the TT-02R.....they are the same price although no motor in the R but there seems more alloy parts?..... Which is the better kit, maybe the best value one to get?
Hi Paul. The main difference is the suspension and steering, the R has the same setup as the stock TT02 (although made of better materials). The S has a completely different setup that uses much longer A-arms on stainless pivots, plus a better designed C-hub steering mechanism. These parts are carbon reinforced. I chose the S because it was possible to modify the suspension for much better ground clearance. It is probably the best handling Tamiya that I have. That said, I haven't tried the type-R. Even with stock ground clearance setup, I would still choose the S for these reasons. Regards from Mark... :)
Hi Mark, great video as usual. I used your other video series to build my xv-01 and now I am looking to buy a 2nd Tamiya to play with my son. By watching this video it looks like the TT-02 Type S could be a good xv-01 alternative for both Rally and Drift. Correct ? However, how do you compare it to the TT-02 D drift spec ? From what I see the TT-02D is cheaper and comes with oil shocks and ball bearings as well. Thanks !
Hi - yes you are correct, the Type-S makes an ideal rally chassis, I have a video series where I show the few mods needed. The Drift Spec is also a great kit, but as far as value for money, you get way more hop-up parts in the Type-S. The main advantage in the Type-S is the suspension system, which is far superior with the longer arms and the adjustable top arms and steering arms. Plus the C-hub steering is an advantage. IMHO the stock suspension and steering is what restricts the stock and type-D chassis. That said, the type-D is much better VFM kit than the stock one. All the best from Mark... :)
Hi there. You could put slightly longer shocks on the Type-S, but I found the suspension travel is limited by the bottom wishbones (or A-arms) and not by the standard shocks. I even increased the travel by 5-10mm and the standard shocks still worked fine. Hope this helps. :-)
Hi Mark. How's it going with you? Feels like we haven't had a nerdy chat for a while. Anyway this is a jolly interesting vid and has got me thinking as I'm planning at least one TT-02 project. I might have talked about this before but the Datsun 240Z I had was a TT-02 drift spec that I adapted. I got the drift spec because it came with oil shocks and bearings but this S version comes with a load more bits. Like you point out the extra bits are quite costly so looks like it's worth it. I'll be interested to see how this looks as it goes together. I'm not in too much of a hurry to order the TT-02 as I currently have the Lunchbox, Konghead, Holiday Buggy and M06 Alfa Sprint all to build! I'm part way through the Lunchbox build. I'm videoing the build to put on UA-cam. It's mainly going to be a video about the mods but I am photographing all the steps so I can put them in between the explanation bits. Been having a few PC probs that Ric has been helping with. It seems to be behaving at the mo so going to look at editing some of the stuff I've already videoed. Got some nice beer from the microbrewery to start the weekend off. You up to much this weekend?
Hi Pete - lovely to read you pal!!! Yeah, it's been a while! I'm quite excited about this one mate, I think it's gonna be a great car to run with all those goodies fitted! Great list of Tamiyas you have to build - I really look forward to watching some new build vids from you, not seen many "talkies" from you before - I reckon it will be brilliant for your channel too! Hope the PC holds out for ya! My daughter is back from Uni for the weekend, so lots of catch-up - already started on the Bombay Sapphire!!! And WHOOPPIE! HALF TERM! So I have a week to build and film my Type S project, and if the weather is OK I might get a Lancia run video in or something! Have a chilled weekend mate, hope it's a good 'un! :))
@@MarkBryanRC Ooh yeah half term. I'll be at work but enjoying the empty roads in the mornings. The first leg of the drive I do for work takes 40 mins on a school holiday and anything between an hour and an hour 20 on a school day! I'm interested in the suspension on this TT-02S. With my one I managed to get more rear suspension travel by trimming a bit of plastic that is hard to describe but it was limiting the travel of the arms. I'm not sure if the S has the same setup so I'll watch your build with interest. Went RC'ing with Ric yesterday. Broke my Aqroshot which seems to be a fairly standard event. Front hub this time. I think that Tamiya's with the Blitzer tyres seem to break quite easily (at least when I'm driving them!) Need to remember not to bash that one too much. Hey your name came up in a chat I was having with Derek on his Blackfoot video. Maybe head over there and join in. Have a good one mate :-)
Nice one Pete - enjoy the traffic-free week! As for the TT02 suspention I know what you mean about the trimming as Rob has done it to his TT I think! As for the type S, I think there is nothing really to stop the downward travel of the arms - well there isn't on the XV anyway. Again, we will soon find out! Pity the Aqroshot, I put it dowm to you being a bit of a hooligan!!! :D Been to that thread thanks mate! :)
@@MarkBryanRC Oh yeah I have been over to the wibbly wobbly thread. What children we are, tee hee! There is a new woodchip video on my channel if you're interested. Finally got a bit of time on the PC. Hope you're having a good weekend with the family :-)
All good this end mate - lovely to have my big girl home, she gives the best hugs! Haha - more childishness and innuendos on your new video, been there and done that mate! Great vid, great RC, still thinking of getting one after I rob the next bank! :D
Not 100% sure, but maybe with the wider wheel hexes, 2 come with the kit if I remember correctly, but then you would need 2 more! All the best and happy 2021! :O)

@@MarkBryanRC alls good , having fun racing my xray , the tt02 s type handles very well on the race track , the front knuckles can be a little weak around the kingpin but thats it , i have alloy sliding motor mount on both mine and cvd front driveshafts , they do lack the ability to mount optional sway bars without any modification but overall its a great chassis
Hi mate - good to hear you are having some fun with the RCs! Thanks for the info, appreciated man. Yeah, a standard sway bar kit would have been good. Sounds like I should have a blast with it though, my first impressions are very good, only had a little test drive but sure feels nice!
A great look at the unpacking of the tt02 kit,😀😀😀

Have fun! :)
Nice uncoxing 😊👍 a bit more hop-ups than i did get with my TT-02 white special edition.. nice nice 😁
Good to read you, Fredrik! Yes, some nice hop-ups are included in the box, should make a good runner - I hope! Thanks for the nice message buddy! : )
Mark Bryan RC Thats the plan for the Body.. ?
Hi Fredrik - next video is the body choice! ;D
Ahh a suprise 😊👍
;D
Liking those shock towers Mark, looking forward to the build :-) I'll be reviewing my alloy TT02 over the next few weeks might try making a rally video like the master :-)
Cheers my mate Matt! Yeah, some nice parts in this kit - look forward to seeing your TT02! A rally video would be even better. Master??? Well I've bee called a master-something before! Thanks a lot dude! :D
Hi Mark, I think I am sold on this kit. Just need a body and the electrics. Cheers!
Hi Ken - I think it's the best one to go for, for the price it's fantastic value for money. Lots of cool bodies to choose from too! All the best my friend! :-)
Nice unboxing buddy 😎👊🏻
Thanks Glenn - I think this is gonna be a great runner! : )
Yes! Another cool car project from the Midland boys
Good choice choosing the TT-02 Type S !
I'm not sure this car is suitable for rally, but we'll see :)
I have 3 of this type myself and i think it is far superior to the standard TT-02
The recommended hop up other than the aluminium parts are getting universals for the front as those pesky dogbones keep popping out when full turn
Great unboxing!
Thanks Rattrap RC - appreciated! :-)
What a very useful video~!!👍👍👍
Thanks a lot - your comment is really appreciated! :-)
Very nice kit.
Thanks bro - looking forward to building it! : )
Awesome mate!
Thanks bro - I appreciate the comment - have a great weekend! : )
great overview.. THanks for sharing.. :)
Appreciated, Nick, thank you for watching and commenting, have a great weekend : )
@@RMinYLYTRSS Oh yes I understand! Thanks for the tip, much appreciated! 😎😎👍👍
@@maxm1417 Thanks for the info, Max - sadly, I'm yet to get a 3D printer - something for the future, I hope! Cheers!
My next kit might just be a TT-02 type S!
Well I think that would be a wise choice - I am so happy with the performance of my Type-S, it's a wonderful chassis! Cheers! :)
@@MarkBryanRC Cheers to you too!
I think that this is a great chassis to build up and down, However you’d want.
Vintage MBRC! Just researching brother 😁 I am wondering if it is worth the extra money… sounds like you are going to tell me all about it!
@@MarkBryanRC you got me thinking this should be the base of my rally chassis!! 🤔
@@theoagrc You can't go wrong mate, see the video I did of the Type-S vs the XV01 - shocking!!!!
@@MarkBryanRC next vintage MB masterpiece for tomorrow night 😁
Hi, can you tell me if this kit comes with the motor and ESC?
Hi - my kit came with a Torque Tuned motor but no ESC - but some sellers do include the ESC, check what deals you can get. All the best from Mark.
Type S is much smoother than regular TT02. But the front drive shafts are easily detached during sharp turning. Mod required
I agree the type S is a much better driving experience! Never had an issue with the front driveshafts though! 🤞👍
That XV sounds like a real bargain Charlie! I think you may also have the body that I have ordered, not 100% sure, but it is WRC! : )
@@MarkBryanRC The XV comes with the WRX STI 2008
Nice body!!! : )
Nice👍
Cheers Bro!!! :D
Hi! great video!
I noticed the differences straightaway.
Carmine 🚂🚙
Are those Barrel Springs?? There's some good stuff in that Kit!! I wonder if they replaced the horrible, sloppy Steering Bellcrank?
Cheers my mate! Yeah, this was a great buy - I have to be careful when choosing a kit, it will be the last one for a while, so I am really happy with it. We will have fun seeing how it runs - thanks for the good wishes my friend.
Those springs are barrel(ish!!!) :D
It was actually a GOOD price for all that! If I added up all the separate Parts I had to buy to make my TT-02... I THINK it would be close to *$300!!!*
But I don't want to know......
Can you increase ride height to turn into rally car
Hi Richard. Yes you can - I show how to do just that in this video:
ua-cam.com/video/6kWMvdDhoiM/v-deo.html
I made mine into a very capable rally car. Check out my run videos!
i want to buy this kit . but i dont see any METAL DIFFERENTIAL GEARS IN THOSE BAGS . where are they ? can some metal gears be ordered for this kit ?
Hi Peter - no, this kit doesn't come with metal diff gears. To be honest, the diff is strong and doesn't need metal gears, if anything, it's the bevel gears on the end of the propshaft that will slip on the diff ring gears. I haven't looked into getting metal diffs as I haven't had a problem with the stock parts on any of my TT-02 cars.
@@MarkBryanRC can metal gears be ordered ? i just feel more comfortable with metal gear diffs .
@@restalva Sorry, Peter, I don't know. I haven't seen any advertised. All the best from Mark...
@@restalva yeah, yeah racing and tamiya have sealed metal gear diffs for sale aroun $30 per diff.
hi Mark, thanks for the video and the info
Important question to me : can I store a car with its body in the box ? 😅
Hi Peter, glad you enjoyed it. Ah, the box is very small and I wasn't sure if a car would fit, so I just tried it for you. Answer:
Chassis only - yes
With Audi Quattro body - not with the spotlights fitted
With Nissan R33 body - No
With Subaru 1999 WRC body - just about!
Hope this helps, if it's a smaller body you have it just might go in!
@@MarkBryanRC Thanks for checking that for me, that's very nice of you. So if I get a TT-02S I'll either get a short body or store the body apart
@@Peter-wb9gt No worries, all the best! :)
The standard turn knuckles are quite brittle to be honest. Is The type S version flexible?
Hello! Yes, well they are a lot stronger, I think there is some sort of carbon fibre reinforcement used in the Type-S suspension plastics, they are very tough and I've had no breakages after many hard runs and crashes! :)
Thank you very much
Very useful 👏
Thailand.. now has no products
You are very welcome buddy! Sorry about the lack of products in Thailand :-/
Thank you very much 👍
@@MarkBryanRC great thank you. The Type S seems great....the build and running videos are fab. Sold! Thanks
...and thank you for the comments - all the best, Paul. :)
Hey does anyone know what kind of pinion I would need to run a TT02 with a 5700kv brushless castle sidewinder?? I'm assuming much smaller than stock?
Hiya - I reckon somewhere around a 15T to 17T pinion, depending on the track conditions, but with that power, I'd make sure it's a steel one! :))
Can you put larger shocks in it?
Hi there. You could put slightly longer shocks on the Type-S, but I found the suspension travel is limited by the bottom wishbones (or A-arms) and not by the standard shocks. I even increased the travel by 5-10mm and the standard shocks still worked fine. Hope this helps. :-)
Mark Bryan RC so it would be a good rally car?
Oh yes my friend, watch this video! ua-cam.com/video/NW2vRh0LlT0/v-deo.html
