Sonic Generations 2 : Classic Rush level. The gameplay pretty much the segasonic arcade game where you run about in a 3d area and towards the screen. It then swaps to a behind view as you run away from the screen near the end, running from the boss : Blaze. Who lost her memory in the classic era. Hinting to the boss battle later.
If you ever do more Sonic Rush Genesis covers (or any genesis cover) it could be fun creating a fake video game screenshot of Genesis Sonic/Blaze in the level fighting classic Robotnik/Robotnik Nega :P
If there is a modern Sonic character that should bring into Classic... it should be Blaze. Blaze originated in Rush after all; a 2D game. [Also Rush Blaze and '06 Blaze are literally different characters]. People generally had a high reception of Rush and Blaze, and Blaze's toolkit would fit the Classic games well. Perhaps give her an air-dash [remincient of air boosting but NOT Boost; the initial fire blast when you press boost] as well as her [worse than Knuckles] glide to give her a different kit [she'd also lack Knuckle's climbing]. But; like Rush; a lower running speed than Sonic. A sort of "Air speed" character.
