Tainted Lazarus is unfinished though. I think Ed and the team wanted to do something with this character in further patches

@@edfreak9001 yeah... and no upsides. jacob and esau start with the strongest dps in the game, can always hold two pills and active items that recharge at the same time, can take two items from the items rooms on the alt path plus in angel deals (i think?), plus they always place two bombs meaning you can search for two secret rooms while in the same room, blow up lots of mushrooms or rocks for a crawlspace, or do a shitload of damage to any boss. all of that added benefit makes the bigger hitbox seem minor by comparison. lazarus on the other hand is a pain in the ass with no benefit.
@@cheekybananaboy3361 The benefit is that you aren't playing Jacob and Esau and get half the HP and double the hitbox in a game very blatantly not designed for it, even on the stages added in the same expansion as they were.
I would rather play Tainted Lost, Tainted Lazarus, Tainted Jacob, or anyone else than Jacob and Esau. I cheated the unlocks for the Twins and I will never look back.

The fact that it triggers on hit effects multiple times instead of just once is soo amazing. If it didn't it would probably just be a mediocre damage upgrade

The rotten hearts+blood oath reminded me of a run I had in Antibirth that was ruined by that interaction glitching. I had spirit hearts+a rotten heart and the blood oath took the rotten heart and I died. With the spirit hearts still intact.

Very important: I found a bug with Jacob and Essau, Jacob had Guppy's Collar and Essau that Guppy item thay gives you 9 lives. Every time I died (aproximately 60 in Mega Satan's fight), 9Lives triggered and I was able to continue playing
Probably just lucky (yes, you can be lucky 60 times in a row) as collar has 50% chance of free live (10% in my case).
@@user-lm1gl5dg5y statistically impossible, also theres a bug where esau picking up the 9 lives item essentially gives you infinite lives(thats prob the reason why)

Bload oath is my favorite item because it brings a good buff each floor if you manage to be careful, and above all, it fills you with adrenaline
gnawed leaf will negate the damage if you dont move but wont grant bonuses, otherwise it works
the reason for shard of glass not activating the bleeding effect is because it leaves you on half a heart, witch always removes the bleeding effect either way
If I remembered correctly, having Taurus and pretty high speed makes you invulnerable when starting a floor, preventing the blood oath damage and also the bonus

Can you one day make a video about the co-op and its effect on items in the boss room?
Me and a friend got a gold chest from a marked rock in the mom fight and it had a "multi-item" in the form of synth oil and a stapler.
I don't have the game myself so if you can test general item spawning stuff in the boss room before and after killing the boss you'd have an interesting video on your hands(you don't even need a second player just a second controller). I'm talking about things like Alabaster Box, Damocles, sacrificial altar, magic skin, everything jar, vanishing twin, Eden's Soul, Edens birthright, diplopia, Mystery Gift, wishbone, lunch bag, keeper box(with and without restock), butter(to drop your active) and especially moving box(bringing in items or chest that have items/removing the existing multi-items from the boss room). p.s. I had a dream earlier where the game went apeshit when I used Mr. Me on the boss item after taking 2/4 of the boss items I was supposed to get, I dought that will happen but test it anyway along with void/abyss.

its great for the beast, since you have a bed to recover in before you fight dogma
There is a trick I did for some extra dmg boost. I used the strength card as I entered the next floor so it took away an extra red heart.

with the tainted lazarus oversight i figure the same thing would happen if you get the second knife piece? bumbo resets to his first stage so it wouldn't surprise me if that was also the case with this item
No, I'm pretty sure key items like Nagative, Polaroid, Key Pieces and Knife Pieces can't be rerolled or deleted off you in any way. They always stay with you since they are progress-related.
I think the Bumbo thing is a bug(I mean hopefully... Because him resetting to his 1st phase after escaping the shadow chase is stupid as shit.)

I blind picked up this item in ultra hard but I had placenta with me as well. By the time I got to Sheol I decided to leave the game running while I went to get groceries since it would take forever to fill up all my hearts again and no way was I gonna do the floor with a poor build and no hp

If you play in windowed mode, you can manually resize the game screen.
I resize it to 1920 x 959 and have it zoomed out :D

I wonder, if you start charging cursed eye when you're about to get hit, will it teleport you? If you cant charge before it hits you, maybe try charging before you go to the next floor, the charge level stays

I have had only ‘this item sucks and exists purely to kill me’ interactions with this and was just curiously looking to see if there were any situations where it didn’t suck. A am slightly less upset at this item now. But only slightly…🤔

Even saw a normal room with 2 free items, after finding a normal room with sacrificial dagger in the same run. Also keep seeing the double free item room more often.
