Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life.... He had such a knowledge of the Dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful....the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did .Infortunnately , he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
If only he could have used his midi-chlorians to metabolism alcohol/intoxicants to sober up fast enough to realize that he was going to die and might have stopped Sidious from killing him somehow.
I love how Tenebrous, Plagueis, and Sidius were hiding in plain sight and even interacted with Jedi. Growing up with The Emperor ruling, I'm so used to Sith having power and being so formal. Always being called "Your Highness" and Vader always kneeling to his master. When before all that, they seemed almost equal.
Yes the last few members of the order of the Sith Lords really were the phantom menace. Hiding in plain sight right under the noses of the Jedi and they still never suspected or knew the truth until it was too late. The dark side blinded them
Plagueis succeeded in his experiment, because just nine months after he "failed," a slave named Shmi Skywalker gave birth to a fatherless son named Anakin. Anakin was conceived by the midi-chlorians, which Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious used to create a being out of pure Force energy. So in a way, Plagueis himself was Anakin's father. There is no other reason to explain how Palpatine turned him into Darth Vader so easily. Yet one of the wisest lessons taught by the Skywalker Saga is that nobody is truly beyond redemption. Anakin redeemed himself by destroying the Sith (twice), and fulfilling the prophecy of the Chosen One.
Plagueis didnt succeed. The wording of "counterstrike" is chosen specifically because it was the efforts of the force itself that brought Anakin into being. It took the Sith's attempt to create life and redirected it into its own Chosen One with a predetermined destiny leading to the eventual destruction of the Sith order.
Just Plageuis. Sidious helped with the balance tip but the act of creating Anakin, where the "force gave way, as if in flight from him" was all Plageuis. Right from the novel

I want to thank you for making such a thorough and compelling video based on James Luceno’s novel. I hope Luceno gets the commission to write a Snoke novel. Andy Serkis said the character is several hundred years old. In the Force Awakens novelization, Snoke says he watched the Empire rise and fall. Based on how ancient he is and his ability to maneuver himself to become Supreme Leader of the First Order, I see the potential for a novel on the level and scope of Darth Plagueis.
