New Exhaust Manifold from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AEE...
This video shows you how to install an exhaust manifold on your 2004-2008 Ford F-150 (5.4L 3 Valve). The exhaust manifold collects the combustion gasses from your vehicle's engine, and directs them to the rest of the exhaust system. Frequent heating and cooling can lead to cracks or leaks. Installing a new exhaust manifold is often the only solution.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2004 Ford F-150
    2005 Ford F-150
    2006 Ford F-150
    2007 Ford F-150

Thank you so much for the detail you provided. This is an exhausting job, no pun intended. I really appreciate you covering the extraction of studs. I had to put the old manifold back on to use as a guide for center drilling a broken stud. I was then able to remove it with an extractor. This is a lot of work, that takes lots of patience, thanks for sharing this.

What I did to prevent the studs from breaking and the bolts from stripping was blast it with a propane torch and spray pb blaster about 2-3 times, put my 13 mm on it, tighten it a little and work it back and forth

Awesome video !!! What a job this is on these ! Had my friend install jba shorts years ago for more power for towing Looking back probably a big waste of time and money. Took him a week ! Very hard job. Not sure if I got more power or not. It seems the header have exhaust leak now but still pretty good. Probably should have left factory manifolds

I have an 06 F 150 at the shop right now. When they replace the drivers side I will have had them replaced on both sides twice because they cracked. The truck is like new. A hundred k on an 18 year old truck no rust, super clean and the guy that replaces mine charges $500 per side. If they break again I am thinking a factory OEM from Ford motor with all the updates. High volume oil pump and the VCT all straightened out. Even if it's 10k It is better than 50 to 100k for a new truck given how clean the truck is. Oh and the transmission only has about 1500 miles on it because the transmission shop over tightened the pan gasket when I had the filter replaced and the fluid leaked out about 5 miles from the shop. They paid for a new transmission.

when you use the welding method, quench it with water, this does WONDERS with extracting broken bolts. to put it simply, quenching will cause the new metal to harden and wont flex as much, it will also cause the metal and heated metal to shrink and breaking it free from corosion

I'm in the middle of this myself. I have yet to lift the engine though. Passenger side manifold is off, though the manifold is trapped due to space. I was able to remove all of the studs though, none broken on this side. It's a southern truck, just doing preventative maintenance during a timing job as well. Driver side looks tougher. I either remove the starter, or raise the truck.

I managed to get the manifold out without lifting, but to work on broken studs, why came to watch video... my front 2 studs snapped Right side, rear studs nuts spun off studs would not pull out, 5 heat cool cycles pounding breaking 5mm sockets, so had to cut off exhaust behind cat for clearance after dropping starter.. had only planned on doing the one side...

Man what a rust bucket! I hope this is not your truck it has been criminally ignored. Ever heard of a pressure washer? 5.5mm what morons they couldnt have gone with 6,mm? Step 1: buy a 1/2 inch drive earthquake xl from harbor frieght. Step ,2 buy earplugs for the kids. It is amazing how much work is necessary just to get to the work!
