Use carb cleaner if you prefer, but you must remove the carbon deposits down inside the valve guide / stem. This is what makes it stick. I also packed it with HMP grease before replacing the grey cover. No more E.M. light and no more limp home mode!! GREAT.
Remove the EGR valve by opening the clips with pliers and pull off the rubber hoses, remove the two bolts then tap the top angled part, using a hammer and drift. It will move forward and come out. remove the wiring plug. Heat the metal body and spray with oven cleaner. Stand up on the round end and allow cleaner to run down valve guide. Let it stand a while, then wash off with hot water. Dry off and lube the mechanism using engine oil. Let oil run down valve guide. It will run smoothly. Refit.
You should clean egr mine was stuck, i had to reinstall egr all and clean up whole thing and runs fine now car for 5-10 mins and my engine start shake and rpm stuck at 4000 not 4300 but 4000 i guess rpm fucked up something and i need bit atjust to 4300 and works like charm no engine shake at all works nice and calm
Ten egr na tym filmie to agonia. Mój był zalepiony nagarem tak ze nie bylo prawie widac dzwigienki ale po czyszczeniu i nasmarowaniu(oczywiscie go wyjąłem, czeszczenie w benzynie trwalo jakies 3 godziny) działa jak nowy. Ten ma zatarty trzpień. Widac od razu.

how come the warning light (spanner) stayed on...should it not extinguish after releasing?
