I have been watching for a while and just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. The HASHTAG humor makes me laugh out loud. I just bought a boat and I have been learning at ton about boat maintenance from your videos. Each video teaches me something new! You two have wonderful personalities and it makes the show great to watch.
I watch 30 seconds of youtube here, 2 minutes of youtube there, then realize Coast Life has put out a new video. Okay, full screen, sit back and enjoy...
My favourite island out there was Backmans Island, with it's protected anchorage and beautiful beaches. I miss that coast with a passion, so your videos are heartwarming.
It is awesome to see how much yall enjoy your summer up there. I take warm weather for granted and waste some of the things I shouldn't. Thanks for sharing your summer with us. I love the summers up north, very beautiful! Thumbs up guys
Great vid, my father kept our boat at Oak Island Inn marina for a few years, great spot. Lots to explore though some of the islands are private . Deep cove is a good spot to anchor and spend the night.
Great episode guys. Oak Island Inn was great when we were there (land based of course). Hope your summer was as good as PEI had, the week we visited Barrington Passage was hot AND foggy :) Cheers, Bryan and Kimmie
Just found your videos.. Good Job !! My wife and I are enjoying seeing your work on the H-34.. I have an '85 model that I bought in '91 and I am still happy with the boat.. We sail on Lake Pontchartrain and the gulf coast (Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida); we can generally sail year round here.. Are you a member of the Sailboat Owners forum? Again, keep up the good work with the videos .. yall stay healthy !!
Firefly Oasis carbon foam batteries. 1/3 the cost of lithium, and 2 times the energy density of lead acid. You can run them down to nearly zero with no real detriment other than a few cycle life costs. So 2 batteries is like 4, and usually all the old lead acid chargers work. Also they can be left at pretty much any charge state without much problems. Just run them back up to full charge every once in a while. Then add a few more solar panels , maybe a wind generator if you think you have enough wind, and you have a boat that can support refrigeration.
Good vid. I would say if you are going to keep this boat for less than 5 years....$200 is the better idea for sure. Looks like you guys are settling in quite nicely.
You should get a little wind turbine to mount on the stern. Probably a bit more effective than a little solar panel.

Ah the paddle board looked amazing! The water was so calm. Oak Island is a fantastic place to stop at. Luv it! - Trevor
1:22 Costco dinghy (bottom left - HydroForce) represent! :)
Fabric paint to match - inexpensive does a great job & added waterproofing.

We've been there a couple of times now. Great spot! Glad you're enjoying our videos:)
Another great video. Each one seems to get better. You are coming into your own. Keep up the great work and having fun.
Thanks Eric!
You guys are great.

Our warm weather is so fleeting, we can't take it for granted! Thanks for watching :)

I love the show! Oak Island is crazy but great video guys!!
Solar panel(s) on a bimini frame is good shade. Funny how panels are less expensive than a canvas top!
I didn't realize it could be so warm up there. Cool!
It's not usually so hot. Mid 20's (Celsius) typically in the summer. It's been a nice hot, dry spell!

Spent $1500 for a North Sail bimini in 2002, frame and canvas. Still holding up. Looking forward to seeing a $200 one. 😎

Will you be guys be key note speakers at the Eighth Annual Jackalope Freedom Festival? Aug 2019 Northern Arizona Camping. People accept pirate silver.

Our favorite anchorage is just around the corner from Bachman's but it is a secret so can't tell you in public comments :)
Funny, when I think of Nova Scotia I don't think of HOT weather! Ancient family came to America by way of Nova Scotia!
It's been unusually hot for sure!
so few of us have A/C at home. July and August were hard to sleep at night.
daughter getting big, she streching out
In my opinion, the best island in Mahone Bay is Masons Island
“Real men plug their nose” lol 😂
Keep it coming! I appreciate your videos. If you’re ever on the West Coast and in/near Seattle, please let me know.
Thanks very much :)
Sacrifice Island.
Yeah, um, that nose plugging thing...
Let it go, man. Just let it go
What, I didn't say anything!
