The more I think about this movie from when I saw it a couple days ago, the more I realize how much I absolutely loved it. It perfectly combines action with themes of spirituality and political corruption. I hope more people discover this film. And Sharto Copley is fun to watch as ever
🎵🎼🎶Monkey Man, he's a Monkey Man, tell me what do you do, he smokes a pipe and watched TV so no one knew, he's a Monkey Man🎶🎼🎵 Such an obscure reference, doubt anyone gets it, but bonus points if you do, you're awesome. 😉 Sounds interesting, not sure if interesting enough to rush to see it, but interesting enough I'm sure I will eventually. Anyways, thank you, Sean.
I liked this movie. yes, the Monkey Man + the Transwomen Fight Crew vs The Cops is a really good fight scene I loved that. it was a little bit different and a slower movie. But I liked it. I think this was a discount movie kind of thing to see. was a little disappointed when I recommended this to someone and they were a little disappointed that it wasn't a full on martial arts movie. I still liked it, just thought I was recommending something that wasn't talked about as much that more might like. I guess i made a bad call or recommendation for that particular person. I think what you said here that describes it best is that it's a little bit of a slow burn kind of movie and that it takes a while. I think it was still worth it as a movie and I'm glad Jordan Peele saved it. thank you for a doing a quick review of this movie.
You mentioned Last Airbender... 1) Glad that didn't keep him from getting this made 2) If only they'd let HIM direct Last Airbender In fact if there's still hope by the studio to make Book Two...
Sorry about Arizona. Going back to 1864 must be one hell of a time zone change. Here I was thinking 1 hour Fall back was a pain in the rear... Love ya man.
You can easily scratch that "somewhat of" part in "somewhat of a legend", really. His name is practically synonymous with the instrument he plays. Zakir Hussein is for the tabla, what Ravi Shankar was for the sitar. If people know what that instrument is, they know his name.
🎼 Born from an egg on a mountain top The punkiest monkey that ever popped He knew every magic trick under the sun To tease the Gods And everyone and have some fun
The Hey Arnold spin off we never thought or knew we needed.
**high fives you** YES! THANK YOU!
@@MedicineMundy Anytime. Glad someone else found it funny.
One of my favorite films of 2024, Patel is a force to be reckoned with.
Neil Breen seeing Dev Patel writing, directing, producing and starring in a movie: "He copied my whole flow, word for word, bar for bar."
But did it better.

It sounds like one hell of a movie. I'm down.

He could direct a Last Airbender reboot that is a faithful adaptation.

Netflix turned down Monkey man but accept the Good times Reboot? This is why you never listen to people like the critical drinker
Netflix didn't turn it down. Jordan peele bought the rights to it
🎼 Born from an egg
on a mountain top
The punkiest monkey
that ever popped
He knew every magic trick
under the sun
To tease the Gods
And everyone
and have some fun
I’ve seen Zakir Hussein perform live. Dude is absolutely unreal so this will be a treat to see him
Dev''s world, he's the man?
A cool action movie that has original characters from this movie that shows Hollywood is capable of making original movies.
Nice . Getting tickets now
I almost didn't see this one but I'm glad I changed my mind
As always...return to Monke
Yes, but does Patrick save the 9th dimension
Nice.
