I use a few sources, first is find comps online, second is carfax value by VIN. And then I adjust from there. So if Carfax value is $5k, and comps are $5k I use that, and then adjust my own pricing. For example Dodge Dart has body damage, carfax doesn't see that so it wouldn't reflect that. And I try to be fair with those things, so I would price it say $500 lower, roughly what it would cost to fix.
